I think the manga did it better. There was more dread and despair. The anime version looks prettier but doesn't have a dark feel to it. They could've mixed the two, showing the Noh theatre backdrop then suddenly going dark and then reverting back. Kyoraku has a darker side to him and that should have been drawn out more. The Acts should have been just that an act. While his true power is something way more sinister. But it was a performance to see nonetheless.
I would like to imagine that Aizen would not have sat still back then if he seen this Bankai activated as this was before he transcended. Abstract abilities always come off as otherworldly while sometimes being godlike and Kyoraku's Shikai and Bankai are no exceptions as he truly felt like a god of death in the episode

And considering how powerful his bankai is, as it was just revealed more in detail this episode, his reiatsu is probably as high as anyone else. So if dan 3 doesn't kill them, he wraps the reiatsu thread around their neck and they are finished.

Added to the number of fights that stays better in manga format. Before, the Mayuri vs Pernida fight also did not provide. The anime just did not provide much improvement over my own imagination, that interprets the original manga version of the fights. There are few bits that were better, but not the fight as whole. I wish there at least was original OST to add unique flavor/identity to the experience.

If this fight is really over I really think this fight is overrated,cool abilities and transformations aside,this fight felt one sided(except the time when baro transformed and shinsui was running away ),the head captain was dominating the fight and took the initiative so easily it overshadowed the huge disadvantage that he and the others were being in when they were running away from his snipes.i was hoping kyoraku will be pushed to the point where he can no longer stay the "chill guy" that he is .

Pre CFYOW - Shunsui takes the W mid diff. Uryu is inexperienced with his Schrift, he has yet to master it and explore it’s limits. Uryu can’t come back from death. Kyoraku blows his head off with his bankai. 10/0 for our Head Captian. CFYOW - Draw, both die. Uryu coundn’t reverse shit, but couldn’t die. Shunsui can’t kill Uryu, but neither does Uryu. They both drain out their reiatsu in Kyoraku’s bankai and die (arguably 3 out of 10 times Kyoraku lives barely hanging due to vast amount of reiatsu). So 6 draws, 1 Uryu win and 3 Kyoraku win. Hell Arc - arguably Yryu, extremely high diff. In theory Uryu can now reverse events independently of the time, but still heavily affected by the amount of reriyoku Uryu puts into his Schrift. He can now reverse and forcefully swap Kyoraku with Bankai active with him that has a Bankai inactive without touching his reiatsu level overall. Kyoraku uses bankai several times, everytime he gets his bankai cancelled. Without Bankai Kyoraku stands no chance of winning. Highly depends on the amount of reiatsu they each have, which was not specified. Likely Uryu win, 7/3 Uryu takes it.
