    Link to Part 2 - th-cam.com/video/SDUrAEVW_BU/w-d-xo.html
EDIT (1/09/2021), READ THIS COMMENT IN ITS ENTIRETY AND FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS:
When I published this video, Wrye Bash and OBMM were the only reliable ways to install Oblivion mods. Now, in 2021, Mod Organizer 2 is a superior option to both of these. Though the instructions in the video still work, MO2 is a more robust and easy-to-use tool which I'd recommend. It's pretty easy to set up and install, there are a multitude of tutorials online, and it has the advantage of being able to both install regular and OMOD mods. However, Wrye Bash is still useful for its Bashed Patch feature, where you can build a patch which merges changes from multiple mods into one. If you want to make a Bashed Patch, be sure to launch Wrye through MO2's launcher function to allow the program to see your modlist. The bashed patch will be sent to MO2's overwrite section when its built, and you can make a new, empty mod and transfer the file to that mod instead.
You'll still have to install the 4GB Patch and OBSE externally, and BOSS can be replaced with MO2's in-build sorting function, found just above your load order, which is different from your mod list. The mod list is the large box on the left, and your load order is the smaller box on the right, where all of your mods which contain .esp files will show up. You'll also have to go into the Modify Executables section (the drop-down box with the Oblivion title on it, and click edit) after installing OBSE, and tick the Force Load Libraries button. Then, click Configure Libraries and check the box next to Oblivion.exe.
To install mods with MO2, click the button at the top which, when hovered over, says "install a new mod from an archive." Then, simply select the mod and install. When playing a game modded with MO2, make sure to launch the game through MO2, or make a desktop shortcut of Oblivion using MO2. If you don't launch the game through MO2, mods installed using the program won't load, meaning you'll just be playing vanilla with the external mods we download in this guide, such as ENB.
I may make an updated guide later, maybe not. Oblivion is a game I'd rather spend time playing than troubleshooting now. However, don't be surprised if Skyrim or Morrowind content ends up on this channel some time in the future! The modding scenes there are a lot more active and exciting, so I may try my hand at a mod showcase series or a playthrough of some sort. Feel free to leave your suggestions in the replies.

Hey, Zamborin Gaming. This is good and I downloaded and tried to install MO2. When I got to the specify game folder, I chose the one made for Oblivion by the Microsoft Store, and MO2 told me that MO2 does not support games from the Microsoft store. Could have saved me 15 minutes, and I encourage you to warn those whose games came from the Microsoft store that MO2 does not work with them!!!

I see some people are asking if this is still up to date and yes it is and some questions that come up now are that steam doesn't have that option anymore or it is longer showing but it it's just not shown the same is all, just go in oblivion in you're steam library then click on the settings cog icon (or right click the game like he did in the video) and then Properties > Installed Files > Browse local files or just Manage > Brose Local files easy peasy

since switching to pc, i never ever thought of using mods. games are playable, 100% as the devs intended. i was wrong, and a long time i didnt want to get into modding, because for what reason like so everit didnt work. not even 10%. things gut mixed, mods working 50% or less, buggy as hell. morrowind was easier to mod in my opinion, just dragging those files to the morrowind data files folder, shit just works. BUT NOW i can enjoy Oblivion modded as well. still got memories of what it used to be on the good old 360 .... :D thanks for the video man

My favourite thing to do on the Nexus is pick a mod category, sort by most endorsed and open up the comments section to see 100% of the time, the first comments will be "Mod is broken", "doesn't work", "conflicts with...", "Mod is unfinished mess", "Needs cleaning", "Does this mod conflict with...?" Thanks, I was having some issues with Vortex (Qarls texture pack wouldn't load properly & some other old mods I used to use) and so thought I'd give this guide a go. Had an issue with Boss (due to it finding previous game install rather than the new one) but I eventually got it working. I ended up just using Wyre Bash, not OMOD as I was using the 'NorthernUI (Vanilla)' instead of the one recommended in the video.
For anyone else having issues with Boss, try moving the boss exe file into the Oblivion Data folder and run it again.
I had kept my previous install with Vortex just incase I messed up, but Boss defaulted to that and it really screwed up the files (I couldn't even run the previous game install). It wouldn't even save my monitor res.
I ended up restoring a backup of the Documents/My Games/... etc files, and after that ran Boss in the Data folder and got it working again.
Had I not got it working, thankfully as I have Oblivion at GOG, I just would have restarted the process with the 'clean' install I have backed up.
It's a shame Vortex has issues with certain mods, as compared to Wrye Bash I think its more novice friendly, especially with Vortex download links. But I suppose Vortex being a "jack of all trades", it has issues sometimes.

I'd have to advise against using OBMM. Unlike Wyre Bash, OBMM doesn't rewind overwritten files. For example, when you install two mods with WB which overwrite eachother, when you uninstall the second mod, WB returns the files from the first mod.
In the case of OBMM, if a mod overwrites files and then you uninstall that mod, those files with be missing because it fails to add the files it overwrote in the first place.
If you do use OBMM, use the least amount of mods on it that you can. And, install them last if possible.

I agree, but the problem is that certain mods are only available in the .omod format, which can't be installed using Wrye Bash, and I only use OBMM to install those select mods.

I really hate that all these guides just have random gameplay on-screen at random points in the video. 7:03 Why do you speedrun through the mod manager setup in like 5 seconds
but have random combat on screen for a fucking minute while you're talking about the mod manager?
No one looks at a guide to see random ass gameplay, and I'm about to play this game for the first time so I'd like to not have anything spoiled.
