Having to pick up guns sounds so perfect. In all Star War movies, animated series, tv shows, each Star Wars character has their unique weapon/weapons (some has a few in stages), so if Kay's blaster pistol is her weapon of choice it makes total sense to have just that one trusty pistol instead of carrying another weapon with her. Picking up Imperial issues guns or other guns laying around makes total sense for a scoundrel.
I like this idea but I'd also like to have the ability to keep the picked up weapon for much longer then just that scene, having sniper rifle for example would be much useful for next missions, make it more like mandalorian style
Jor when a game doesn’t have a huge map and damage numbers when you attack: “Not interested” 😂😂
I’m sure it won’t be anything groundbreaking but I’m just happy to finally get an open world Star Wars game. It took long enough.
Bro what do you mean we have 2 great open world starwars games? Have you never played Jedi fallen order and Jedi survivor? I highly recommend they shit on this game and it's open world AND your actually a jedi
@@laidbackplayerrr6256 I have played those games and they aren’t open world. You could make a case for Survivor being open world but Fallen Order definitely isn’t. They’re metroidvania or soulslikes.
Star Wars Galaxies was/is pretty open-world.
@@laidbackplayerrr6256they’re not open world games
@@laidbackplayerrr6256that’s more semi open world at most, like god of war but a Jedi.
damn you and luke have completely different views, luke said he played it for a little less than an hour and he wanted to play it more
The reputation system is purely for the open world part, it cannot influence story outcomes, but it can influence side quests and random things
This game looks great. I think the disposable nature of secondary weapons will feel like Uncharted. Sure it's not as deep as keeping weapons and upgrading them, but like Uncharted, it'll provide a more arcadey, free-flowing vibe.
Reminded me of the True Crime Games
Loved those just as much as gta back in the day
It also adds a bit of unpredictability to fights. The only certainty you have is your trusty pistol; anything other than that is a roll of the dice, so you have to keep your eyes peeled and really study the environment. It also encourages stealth, cause a rogue-like thief character shouldn’t be just charging into gun fights. And the fact that she’s squishy is another testament to that stealth focus. If you’re going to engage in open combat, you’d better be really good. This is actually how you make a game with a focus on stealth.
Ideally: you’d have the ability to pick up extra weapons, put them in a bag and save them in your ship.
we must have played different Uncharted games then because i remember picking up a gun and taking it through most of the game.
@@TheMeta141 Hmmm. From what I remember, if you ran out of ammo for a particular gun type that’s not commonly used by the riff-raff enemies, you kinda had no choice but to switch until you found that gun again. Also, I think difficulty affected ammo but I’m not sure. All I remember is playing on the hardest difficulty, and absolutely having to switch weapons.
This lady should’ve been a galactic boxing champion the way she sends those haymakers with those tiny hands, even Han Solo didn’t punch as many people as she does
All we fucking wanted was to play as a mandalorian
Try the OG game Star Wars Bounty Hunter, it explains how Jango Fett was picked to be cloned, it’s definitely among my top 20 games of all time!

My only concern is that it’s Ubisoft Massive. Their engine is phenomenal and they make visually striking games. But given how Avatar turned out (I enjoyed it but it could have been a lot more) I’m skeptical about their ability to craft an engaging single player open world (or universe) experience. I still plan on playing this one at launch, but this is not the level of confidence I’d have in say Ubisoft Montreal or Quebec crafting an open world title. People claimed Avatar was ‘just Far Cry Pandora’. If it was just that I would have been happy. But it wasn’t, it was it’s own thing and it stumbled in some key areas. Maybe we’ll see it all come together with this one. And Massive does make the Division so this being a third person shooter at it’s core I can see it feeling good in combat. Either way, the game will likely be eye candy so I’m always down for that. Lol.
There are two games coming out in August: Black Myth: Wukong and Star Wars: Outlaws. I'll be getting Black Myth: Wukong; that game looks amazing. Star Wars: Outlaws, not so much.
Bro said “not sold” in the title of the video and went on to praise each and every aspect of the game 😭
I'm excited for this. Contrary to popular belief, I actually love Ubisoft games. I'm excited for this game and hopefully there's more cool stuff throughout the game.
I’m withholding judgment for it and also to pre-order also but it doesn’t look awful or unplayable so I’ll wait and see…
I'm actually optimistic about it. This SW game looks like the Starfield game that Bethesda failed to deliver!
The only thing keeping be from deciding on a version is not knowing if the ultimate edition outfits will be purely cosmetic or if they too will have effects attached to them and a set bonus and until this information is revealed I remain on the fence.
Will we be able to seamlessly (without loading screens) travel via speeder bike between different landing zones on a planet? For example: can we land in Mos Eisley and take our speeder to ALL OTHER LANDING ZONE MAPS on Tatooine without some loading screen or transition? Or do we have to go to the edge of one map, pick a loading screen, and then go to the other landing zone?
yes seamlessly
It’s like a little cutscene thingy were she is biking for like 5 secs pretty seamless
@@unreal306 it's an open world so no loading screen when you are on a planet
@@jesuismoimeme2739 There are different landing zones on each planet. My question is, will there be loading screen travelling via speeder from one landing zone to another??? No youtuber or developer has been able to confirm any details yet!
@@OfficialNinjaNoodle but there is one big area by planets right ? the landings area are dispatched on that one map
I’ll never forget playing uncharted 1 at target for 2 minutes and I was sold.
Not sure what he’s not sold on, everything shown & spoken about sounds great
Yeah, but don’t forget this is the same guy who thought Suicide Squad was a fun time…
Jor seems to be into less immersive/story focused content & more interested in character stat builds and live service content, for example I saw him complain about not having damage numbers pop up in AC Shadows, to me that's a positive. Great news channel but very different taste
i preorde already it like gta in space open world
@@TheGreatGambini true
We seem to be getting hyper critical don’t we. I mean it’s amazing what games are now and this looks great…. It’s time for people to take a step back and think is this fun/cool rather than micro analysing everything
I still think the main character looks fugly, hopefully the game is good as I really wanted a star wars open world game but the fact it's a Unisoft game has me skeptical.
This man has a different opinion n some ppl try to bash him on it, look he’s not sold in it, y’all are and me too, I never really cared for SW until I watched da old movies years bck n got into Star Wars Jedi. It’s his take on not being sold yall n we are that’s fine all is well
After Divison 2, I see Massive Entertainment, I buy.
Ubisoft really need to promote them as their own studio to get out from the "everything Ubisoft makes is bad" spotlight.
They are shining grace of in house devs.
I'm just glad that we are stuck playing as a female.
When I was a kid, I never imagined creating my own unique Star Wars character in an open world star wars game. I always imagined playing as a female character...
Great video Jor. I'm still gonna buy this one though😅
Every step towards a more grounded experience (away from RPG) in Outlaws and Shadows is met by criticism from Jor. I'm personally very excited about the new direction
Thank you for the preview, Jor. I love quite a few Ubisoft games (AC Origins and Odyssey, Division 2, Ghost Recon, Crew 2, Immortals) but the last several big titles have been disappointing. I am almost certain to get the new AC soon after release but this Star Wars game looks like it can wait for a price drop.
What did u play it on PS5 or PC? and how was the performance?
there isn't a PC version
@@TheMeta141 what are you talking about, its coming to PS5 XSX and PC...
@@ferynho1089 ah sorry, it's not on steam. hence why i thought it wasn't available on PC
@@TheMeta141 ofc its not on steam it's an Ubisoft game, first they will only release it on Ubisoft Connect then in a couple of months later on Steam.
I'll buy this game ifit gets a 7-8/10 but I feel like this game has a LOT of potential. I know Ubisoft hasn't had the best rep lately but people forget Ubisoft has created some of the top games/franchises out there where at their peak were PHENOMENAL games including Splinter Cell Chaos Theroy, Assassins Creed Black Flag, Beyond Good & Evil, Prince of Persia, Rainbow Six Vegas. Several were 7-8's like AC Odyssey and Origins, Avatar etc.. but I don't think they've made a BAD game that got less than a 7/10
The games you mention are from over 10 years ago. Can't u see that Ubi has changed?
@@kevinh1792 Yeah, they're not as great as they once were but they still release several 8/10 games and it's always possible to return to their glory days (as opposed to a company that never released any bangers)
The only game that will shake the ground for gamers is GTA 6 . The much is the most anticipated game of our lifetime
it won’t be any better or worse than the last few AC games and you glaze those dumpsters
I agree. He also isn’t sold on Indiana jones but doesn’t think AC Shadows will be super generic with that bland dialogue we’ve heard so far? Lol
Nostalgie issue, the recent ac games r gr8
@@jd9792didn't find the dialogue but judged the game by some 15 minute gameplay lol. Salty be like
Assassins creed is a franchise he’s a fan of, as many of us here. It’s a completely different game than Star Wars, even if it has similarities
So there’s nothing contradictory here
This just in: person likes games you dont
Relax
Hey do you think we will be able to unlock or buy a new character to play as once we beat the main storyline
This is telling coming from the guy that never has anything negative to say about any game ever.
I don’t really agree with everything you said but you do have some interesting points about some stuff. Good video none the less
3:30 right up Ubi’s alley to make a “strong independent woman” who weighs 90 pounds soaking wet able to deliver brain damage-inducing punches through helmets made to withstand bullets 😂
Yeah I have 0 idea what that Dev thinks a fun game is, letting players have the ability to build a character however they want is always going to be a more fun experience then just having floor loot weapons you can't keep and are random to the lvl you are in
But other then that it's exactly what I expected, it looks fun and as a Starwars fan I'm going to play it but nothing has been shown yet that makes the game standout it was only 2 hours of playtime you had so idk if that's enough to judge but we'll have to see
Im actually really happy that they didnt focus on the stealth that much... I want to get in there guns blazing. On the other hand i find it extremely idiotic if there is not enough gear or weapons in a RPG game...
It's not an RPG game.
What about this says RPG?

Whats the draw of the open world? Like what secrets will we find if we can barely customise our character or weapon? Skins for our ship and alien companion?? :s
I'm actually pretty excited about SW Outlaws. It looks awesome! If only it wasn't so damn expensive for the Ultimate.
With all due respect... when a ubishill like Jor says he's not sold it says alot. He's pretty kind to ubisoft in general. But regardless I love SW so I'll be playing it. N for the record i like Far cry and Ac usually.
Well when the main character looks like Patrick Swayze in Roadhouse....
Pls let me wear a helmet. Star Wars is famous for its costumization but somehow the games always mess that up.
Something tells me LEGO skywalker saga is more open-world than this. With so many much options on what to do.
Does this game have 360 degree camera movement? Can the character walk towards the camera?
The red heatlh bar on enemy fighters is a terrible design. What the fighter has blood? Change the color to blue instead or something else...
Fucking ubisoft
If this channel is not sold thats a fck huge RED FLAG
It's almost like different people have different opinions and like different things... crazy.
@@dean_dvjust wish my wife liked liver and onions, I don't get that nearly enough.
Ok, but why is dude comparing a game like Star Wars Outlaws with games like AC that have nothing to do with it? Of course Kay is not gonna use a hidden blade to kill or knock down her enemies.
Those Tome Raider / Uncharted like sequences exist in Assassins Creed RPGs as well.
Overall, looking at your impressions, I think just the addition of more dedicated stealth melee and ranged weapons and equipment alone would make a big difference. Given how aggressively they marketed the open-world in the store pages, I am fairly sure there will be those large open world areas that we are used to from Far Cry and AC RPGs.
The fact you can fly from space to any planet makes this game pretty dope
Honestly looks pretty fun. I'm sure it's big and bloated and fetch laden, but that's standard ubi.
Good information, thank you.
This game doesn’t have near the expectations and isn’t an RPG, but I think it’s gonna be better than Starfield
Not saying all that much, but there it is
I don't know why they demoed the game the way they did but I am very curious to know just what's out there in terms of open world gameplay. What's going to be the incentive to explore? I'd be cool if we could find secret items and perhaps hidden enclaves of whoever.
Can’t wait bro don’t sleep on this game looks way better then rise of ronin which I didn’t even finish because it was garbage vomit 🤮 😅 Star Wars outlaws looks badass
It looks great, but what do the different editions bring to the table ? Since i always buy digital i'm kinda lost.
I notice outlets highlighting the orbit to planet (aka loading) sequence and it reminds me of how StarLink used it as well.
How was the performance? 60 fps I hope. I assume this was in XSX? Cus see Xbox buttons or was on pc? I just hope ps5 version runs smooth. Cus even now I here Jedi survivor still kinda runs meh. I’ve held off buying it Cus I am waiting for it mature and run better.
I'll give my take on why I'm also not as hyped. It's mainly because of the character. We're so used with Star Wars bounty hunters that are on the higher tier level, so we want more assortment of weapons you can actually own and use, instead of just steal in combat. Next is, what about the other bounty hunter gadgets? Like jetpacks, smoke bombs, small missiles like Mando?
I hope her repertoire would be as wide a what you can do in AC Mirage stealth wise. So many gadgets for different approaches.
She’s not a bounty hunter. She’s someone like Han Solo. A smuggler/thief.
Looks good. I hope the story has some depth to it. Ubisoft has struggled with this in recent years especially.
I could care less about people’s opinions, I always want to find out for my self. Game looks great, can’t wait to play it.
I like that we are getting more star wars open games! Now i want a star wars witch game🙈🙈
4:40 You can use the new blast mode for a silenced shot.
You mean the charged shot or the stun shot? Probably the stun shot right? Which is great, but again has a very long cooldown
Hmmm. Didn’t know that. I do know you can use the stun feature, which he also mentioned, so I don’t know why he said there was no blaster option for stealth. Perhaps he meant one that was always available at every second, since the stun feature has a cool down.
@@JorRaptor Agreed, but I guess it’s like that on purpose to dis-encourage pistols in stealth. But, again, they’ll probably tweak it in the near future, and add some new form of stealth. Who knows 🤷♂️
@@JorRaptorthere has to be a challenge in game otherwise it would be too easy
You have to be the biggest fucking Assassin’s Creed glazer ever bro. This and shadows looks no different but you aren’t sold yet? Lmfao like I know what to expect form Outlaws in terms of gameplay, I’m a huge SW fan and the setting and lore alone have me excited.
They don’t look different? What? They don’t have any similarities.
We will get an open work bounty Hunter game eventually 😢
But we will already be under the ground brother
Cyberpunk 2077 already exists
If this game does well enough, Ubi will probably push for a Mandalorian game.
Red dead redemption 2 says hello
@@RyMann88They missed their oppertunity now...

the stealth takedowns @320 looks exactly like Odyssey assassination! even the left wrist has the angle for a hidden blade still.
Can you walk around your ship while in space?
Genuinely surprised. Used to your criticism, if any, of Ubisoft games being mild at best and still recommending the game. Withholding “renting” this game till I see ALOT more details.
I think buying it would be better than ubi+, because it seems like a game you’ll come back to, just to explore the world.
@HahahMamaman will not pay for ubi+, my comment was more to the fact that even after purchasing they reserve the right to yoink the lisence at any time for any reason.
@@skeletor957 doesn’t every game studio have that right. Or Xbox/playstation.
@@HahahMamaman maybe some do, but ubi has expressly come out and said gamers should get comfortable with not owning what we've paid for.

We're all going to be disappointed when our player wakes up in the animus and we're told how dangerous the templars are in the Star wars universe 😂
How not? It looks amazing, every sw fan dream come true
I was thinking about buying this a while ago but now based on some of the information in this preview I think ill just ubisoft rent. I like upgrading my character feeling more powerful as I go on. One weapon throughout the whole game seems poor. Just seems like Jedi Survivor is a better game except for its technical issues.
Hopefully dogfights are actually good.
It's a star wars game - the character has a cat and plays like a lara croft expie - you're going to get *exactly* what you think 😆
She doesn't need no glove or weapon. She's pure queen God mode, super boss, stunning and brave hero. These guys don't stand a chance. 😮😢
Well, even if there are some pros and cons, I still ordered it, and I'm hyped for this.
What a letdown. Not that I agree with what the guy here is saying about the game but everything just looks so generic. I mean I saw the troopers, the speeder, the tie fighters but it still doesn't feel like a game set in the star wars universe. This is probably gonna be a 7/10 game which is good enough imho but knowing Ubi, they'll probably charge you 90 bucks for this and from what's shown here, it doesn't feel like a "90 buck" game.

You say (not verbatim) that you felt Ubisoft was holding back on aspects of the game... I hope that its in the case that they wanted to hold back on spoilers. Literally every Ubisoft title since 2001. The publishing side of Ubisoft needs to step back and let their devs cook.
YES!!!
They are the king of mediocrity
Would be cool if they were to at least have attachments which can turn your blaster into different weapons like rifle, smg, shotgun, or sniper
It looks ok but it just feels like they chose the most boring option available. It's Star Wars for god's sake, they had so much to work with, but they chose this? We don't get lightsabers and the ability to use the force; we don't get cool armour, jet packs, wrist-rockets; we don't get to be a bounty hunter or a mandalorian, we're just a random person with a pistol and a fucked up dog.
