Agree. But they do it to keep you watching.
too many ppl just scan through and think "Ive never heard of any of these" and click off. Usually theres some hero in the comments that does the chapters the right way.
It’s for more watch time on their videos
What’s the point of clicking on this video? Just google this list and read the results there

Suicide Squad is universally considered a failure yet WB is doubling and tripling down on live service garbage.
That means someone is paying. Consumers have no one to blame but themselves at this point.
That means WB are run by idiots. there is a reason that they are in so much debt.
@@shiftymcgee9359Not really, the game didn't sell, even WB admitted it was a failure, but they somehow didn't learn the right lesson from it.

Did you just come out of a coma? It's been coming. Kinda happens every year, ya know?😂.
@@NoMoreLies365Idk man guess I’m still stuck in 2020
Nah. You're just not making memories.
Ubisoft could've literally just used the bones of Black Flag for Skull and Bones, not even added any features, just cleaned it up a bit, with an original story and characters and it would've done numbers. I was so stoked when it was announced.
or sell it for like 20€ without it being an online game for that matter, im pretty sure plenty of people would've had loads of fun with it for that price - you know, just to fool around a bit in ship to ship combat without too much depth, something to turn your brain off while playing.
worst part about it is that skull and bones was supposed to be a dlc for black flag, they just "wanted to make it bigger so it has to be its own game", and then it got stuck in a "recycle everything a few times and make nothing out of even the small potential the final product would've had" position.
I also don't exactly know how many live service games Ubisoft is planing to have - they already got The Division as probably their most (and solely) anticipated proper live service based title - but I suppose they'll just give the next entry there 1 or 2 DLC again and move on to the next game - because why would you make a game with the perfect basis for it live service and earn money?
That's pretty much like Nintendo not giving people a remake of the old consoles with the games that released on them like people have been asking for for years and earn money with it, they'd rather spend money trying to stop people from accessing those. Companies somehow lost their brains collectively at some point if it comes to business decisions.
That's seriously my problem with it too.
Like, it was already a home-run. They just had to swing the bat. But they chose to lean their cheek into it, and take the foul instead.
And they knew. They had to know what the audience wanted. They chose to ignore all the red flags (or black flags lol) and pushed it into a direction no one wanted.
Definitely. Someone could easily make video about sequels that got great features gutted for the sole reason that the devs didn't want to "repeat themselves" with at least a hundred separate entries.
All of those resources should of just been poured into the black flag remake/remaster. Ubisoft has not been able to put out a decent game in years (decade?) so maybe they can just touch up the games that are obvious cash cows and that the fan base wants. Just remake the first 3 far crys, splinter cell, and black flag. Its the best we can ever hope for.
Even Odyssey has decent pirate battles on offer, and you can board enemy ships and fight and loot on them. When I get tired of the grind in Odyssey, I just hop on the Adrestria and sail around. Love it.
You guys need to do a Steam Sale Recommendations list for Best Deals or Bang for your Buck style.
Perhaps more than one as the sales change during it's run.
That would be cool. A series of shorts around the new Game Pass games could be nice as well.
@@Mrcharrio agreed a Steam sales shout out maybe! They don’t occur every week so it would be a quarterly thing.
The biggest sin of Snow Day is it doesn't look like South Park. SoT and FbW were both like playing an episode of the show.
The first one was Lord of the Rings based and the second was Marvel. Im not even sure what they can base the next turn based RPG on.
They could make a big sandbox survival game around Imagination Land, I suppose... actually... that sounds fun.
SoT killed me. Just dyin' laughin man. FbW, less so. That looks like crap though so I didn't bother
Rogue-likes are popular. So, they tried it. 3D multiplayer action is popular. So, they tried it. It's not what you wanted play. It's what they wanted to make. And that's okay.
They should make a third game set in the Panderverse. It would get all the purple hairs upset and cause gamers to support it in face of a “boycott.” 🤣
@@thedarkemissary I think the issue is that they really didn’t TRY in their usual sense. Just admit it was an extremely lazy attempt.
Seems the time tags are off for each game.
They messed up the CC recently too! They need some QA as they usually always great
Good, watch the damn video
Happens more often than not with their videos.
Looks like they are all off like 20 seconds. Someone probably edited something out of the video but didn't note the timestamp change.

I was already uninterested in Suicide Squade from the moment it was announced at Fandome 2020 because I couldn't care less about the Suicide Squad as characters, so I do feel pretty vindicated in seeing it fumble and flop
Good for you buddy, I remember when no man's sky was coming out and i thought it looked stupid, and it came out a pile of garbage
Yep, that’s it, no/one cares about suicide squad - its a dumb concept
I like them as characters and it feels like the game was originally meant to be single-player focused but Warner Bros forced Rocksteady to make it into a live-service game and it's a damn shame because the story is pretty good.
I would have preferred it being actually _good_ more than flopping. And since it seems from WB's comments they learned absolutely *nothing* we will still see more of these games no one asked for.
I like the suicide squad but once I seen the gameplay yeh straight trash
It's hilarious to me that Skull and Bones made it past the "you're just the boat" part.
The Battlefront collection wouldn't even let me invert the Y axis control. I was done 5 minutes in.
Aspyr needs to be replaced. Nightdive makes them look like chumps.
would turn me right the fuck off, i live my life like im piloting an airplane.
@@jeremyg6143 I played Ace Combat 20 years ago,and I've always played Y Inverted ever since!
@ronin_0421 most ppl I know but any game with camera controls I have to invert or I can't do it. Up is not up and down is not down. I always explain it to ppl when I look up I tilt my head back, when I look down I tilt my head forward. Inverted should feel more normal to others but it isn't lol
@@jeremyg6143 I mean, most don't use invert as it makes more sense to move up the stick and you know... have the camera go up as well (way easier to coordinate with your hands).
But it not being functional is just something that should be a crime - it's an option, you can't tell me that they want money while not even testing out if something as small as that even works.
Please keep beating Suicide Squad 🤣😂🤣just coz WB wants to double down on 'games as a service'
As someone who played the original Endless Ocean... Luminous hurt me in a way I don't like. The originals had a captivating story. It was subnautica without the survival elements or the horror... but the story was amazing. And I can't stand the AI voice that they use in luminous. It makes the game feel so cheap.
How was the original like Subnautica? They have almost nothing in common except exploration and diving. They are about as similar as Dave the Diver and Subnautica.
I think the main reason luminous got so much hate is because it was compared to Subnautica so much.
Matt and Trey parker have stated that they hated the old 1998 south park game before Stick of Truth was made and they said that they both wanted to be more hands on with south park games in the future... so its really weird that they let a game like South Park Snow day be made again.
I am not too surprised. They want that $. Like that 87.5 million dollar deal with Hulu back in the day.
@@bsherderthey got a $900 million Paramount deal for just 14 one hour long movies .. they have enough money
@@bsherder yeah it had to be about money. I mean this game wasn't created as a labor of love to south park.
I saw it coming a mile away. The only way I knew it existed was an ad on the PS store. I'd be willing to bet they're filling some contractual obligation
I dunno, maybe they were too interested in the, "Casa Bonita," acquisition they made which, I *think*, was around the time they were making this trash, "Snow Day." Casa Bonita, by the way, is a restaurant in Denver known for its shit food and mediocre entertainment. Cliff divers, a, "cave," you could, "explore," etc. Look it up. But, from what I've heard, it's now by reservation only, the food is quite good, and the entertainment is done well. Dunno. Haven't been there in 20 years, not too terribly long before it closed.
I couldn't predict number 1 because I completely forgot it existed.
I'm... surprised by #9? I mean, maybe it's because it was free but I thought it was pretty cool. Not as cool as PT surely would have been but y'know, I respect them for actually, like, trying something.
hurts how konami is just letting the silent hill ip rot away, it could earn them millions
love your before you buy videos very helpful
"Corporately mandated fun" 😂😂😂 is such an accurate description of some of these games that come out these days and just have random grond for the sake of grinding rather than adding any value content. *Cough cough something so many of these new live service games struggle with.
Silent hill looks like condemned criminal origins
The Star War media is so untapped. There's over 150 books in the Star Wars universe and like 7 of them have been made into games, movies, etc...
That old Boba Fett Bounty Hunter gane was awesome. Im surprised they havent remastered it.
@@radagast7200I actually think I saw an announcement trailer that a boba fett is getting remastered this year
@CameronLondon1033 really? Wow. That could be fun. I just hope Disney keeps their hands off of it, in the 'updating for a modern audience' sense...
@@radagast7200 You mean Jango Fett?
@@whosaidthat84 Is that what it was? Feels like forever ago.
I don't think anyone was disappointed by Phantom Fury. We all knew it was being developed by Slipgate.
I'm a chronically online Silent Hill superfan and I had no idea that a new Silent Hill game dropped. Now that I know, I'm less interested than before. After disbanding Team Silent, canning Silent Hills, and firing Kojima, Konami is dead to me.
Phantom Fury looks awsome maybe im missing something but that art style alone gives me the nostalgia for ps2 era shooters.
It’s amazing how often “new game is supposed to be new take on old game, but the gameplay mechanics from 20 years ago are broken and don’t work” happens. Could even add onto it with “new story is mediocre and the writing isn’t as good but we could look past these flaws if the core gameplay actually worked like it used to or was at least functional.”
I guess this is what happens when the sequels aren’t worked on by the same people. But I would think that the companies that own the IP would at least work to understand the core gameplay people enjoyed and make nailing the core mechanics the central focus of any sequel. And yet, that almost never happens.
Snow Day pissed me off so much! I was so excited cause Stick of Truth and Fractured Butt Whole are two highly under rated amazing games!
Gameranx, or "Falcon," you need to shift your focus from company names to the individuals driving the creativity behind the games. When Rocksteady Games created the Batman Arkham series, it was under the direction of the talented Sefton Hill. After completing the series, Hill left Rocksteady to start his own studio, Hundred Star Games. Expecting the same quality from a company that has lost its key creative force is unrealistic. It would be more insightful if your comments discussed the professionals behind the games rather than fixating on the companies. Just my two cents. :)
Snow Day looks like it was going to be a live service game but they pulled it's plug late in development
Man these chapter time markers are busted.
Of course Skull and Bones is here, Ubisoft lacking since 2014. Damn I hate live transactions...
Thankfully Nintendo gives us continuations in franchises like Endless Ocean instead of F-Zero, Wave Race, Starfox, or Battalion Wars
💯💯💯💯💯
Isnt Battalion Wars just a spin off of Advance Wars which *did* get remakes last year
South Park wasn’t disappointing. The description of the game and graphics spelled disaster from the beginning
Suicide Squad could have been good if it was a single player, focused experience where you didn't try to shoot superheroes with guns. If they were killing the Justice League in clever ways, that could have been great. Superheroes are famously good at dealing with guns. If they weren't, standard criminals would defeat them all the time.
Skull and bones also came out way to close to the PlayStation edition of Sea of Thieves witch already had a massive amount of content and most major bugs already were fixed. Leaving a pretty obvious choice if you want an open world pirate game with your friends and the art style can hold up for a very long time compared to realistic graphics
Silent hill game wasnt that bad! Especially for a free short game
True but it still seems like it feels as if asking even a simple meal on a plate, and all we got was a mediocre snack.
@@alexanderhunt88It wasn't mediocre. It just had different themes compared to the other Silent Hill games. And it helps to integrate yourself to the story at hand. Stepping into the character's shoes. And considering the toxicity and dangers of social media and mental health struggles in the world nowadays, Anita was most likely downright Relatable for a lot of people.
Yeah, I didn't have a problem with it, considering it was quick and pretty easy. I also could kind of relate to the topic on a personal level.
Was it deep, disturbing and original? No, of course not. But it was still better than some horror games I've fished out cash for, because the genre can just really suck.
@@Nylak-Otter yeah honestly I was tearing up at the ending
Gameranx: Get it together Konami.
Konami: (holds out hand and waits for money)
Great coverage as per 👊🏿🙏🏿
South park the stick of truth was the first turn based game I ever played, and the combat was so good it made me fall in love with it, they should've stuck with the same artstyle and combat style of the first two games it would have been awesome
First turn based? Man... mine was Pokemon Blue... thanks for making me feel old.
@@radagast7200 I'm 22 man 😂 I legit did not play any turn based game for a long time because I thought they were boring, this changed my mind though
Go for the classics. Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 5,6,7 and 9, Brave Fencer Musashi,
Grandia, Earthbound, Lunar- Silver star story. Old Jrpgs had a lot of heart and depth behind the scenes.
Musashi isnt turn based, just really good. Or FF Tactics if ya prefer a grid style. Japan really pushed Dungeons and Dragons to keep up once 16bit and beyond hit the markets.
@@ThirtytwoJ Classic jrpgs and no Dragon Quest or Phantasy Star?

Aw man, War Hospital sounds so cool! This was my first time hearing about it, and began looking for it right after you described the premise.

Actually, the silent hill game was good, basically like every other horror survival game, walk and read some notes. I don't remember it saying that it was trying to be the original game, and yeah it's free.
I'm glad to see someone else liked it. 🥹
fr, it was actually a good game. Just not silent hill.
It was decent to play but also fairly generic.
Hmmmmm SSKTJL is a weird one. Can it really be a disappointment when we knew it was DOA the second they revealed it was live service and not to mention the involvement with Shit Baby......
Endless Ocean: Blue World will always have a very special place in my heart.
The south park game reminds me sped up version of Dragon Age Inquisition
The battlefront collection is so much better than what it was at launch, but nobody plays it now. Such a shame
Such a shame no one plays it or such a shame they released a horrible game?
@@snowman22ism a game thats great now. People gave cyberpunk, no mans sky, and multiple other games that were crap at launch a shot after updates. Way more fun than cod or the ea battlefront games
If cross-platform play gets implemented then maybe it'll make a comeback. Until then I'm keeping my money
The Mutiplayer part of the Battlefront collection was disappointing but the single player was pretty decent. I enjoyed the old cut maps in the game(like Bespin and the Anakin Yavin map)

Why does the south park game remind me so much of a legos game?
Tip: I am not talking about the timeline but in the video I think it would be very helpful for some viewers to have the game’s name on screen… sometimes I watch the video on mute 😂 and I don’t know the name of the game…
It's a shame, I had a really fun time with Foamstars when it came out. I thought it brought a unique and fun twist to the splatoon formula, as a splatoon fan. But there's just a lot holding it back.
They set themselves up for success and they all just tanked
The problem with skull and bones, is that it spent too much time “in the oven” that Ubi started thinking about ways they reciprocate the monies they’d spent. You pay full price, they give you a live service game! All the attributes were there in AC4, all they had to do was build on that - they didn’t 😢
It’s somehow worse than Black Flag in almost every way possible. I think many of the triple A (or AAAA in the case of Ubi) studios lost their talent and replaced them with serious garbage.
MultiVersus got turned into a scummy mobile game basically
I'm drinking Corona. Not game related but fun none the less
Get yourself some clamato and fixins and you could be drinking Micheladas.

@blubug768 coffee and gin? I think you're supposed to use whiskey. Or Irish creme and whiskey.
Hey Falcon 😁
Hey
Konami tried to make a Gen Z Silent Hill and apparently failed miserably. Kinda like how Forspoken was supposed to be a Gen Z action RPG, and it was, by all accounts, horrendous.
If there's one thing I can count on gameranx to get wrong is the tick marks. You guys consistently mess those up.
Meanwhile Japan been killing it. Yakuza 8, Persona 3 remake, Dragons Dogma 2, Dead Rising Remaster, Path of the goddess and the list goes on.
And Fromsoft making a DLC better than most full games
HEY MAN! That first South Park game was HEAT when I was a kid!! lol
What gets me is Ubisoft has announced they are remaking some of the older Assassin's Creed games. Black Flag rumored to be one of the remakes, ONLY 4 MONTHS after releasing the Black Flag rip off Skull & Bones.
I think that one of the worst parts about the Battlefront re-release debacle is that because they all released completely unannounced, so many promising indie titles got buried by the floods of nostalgia.
Pretty much all the devs said "If we had known that EA was gonna drop Battlefront on the day, we would have postponed our game launches".
I grew up playing OG Battlefront 2 with my brother...seeing it get massacred this year as a re-release was genuinely painful to see. 😢

I feel like "suicide squad" wouldn’t have gotten as much hate as it did if it wasn’t set in the Arkhamverse
Edit: why does everyone immediately think that it was just being in the Arkhamverse that I had a problem with? Just cause I only pointed out one flaw doesn’t mean I ignored everything else. I’m just saying there would’ve been a little less hate if it wasn’t set in the same verse as the Arkham games

Love when I see these lists and have played zero games on a list like this 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
what you talking about man, Skull & bones was the worlds first AAAA game!
the best part of the Suicide squad game, was the short batman sequence where he was using his tactics against you. It shows what Rock steady wanted to do but corporate meddling happened
I'm one of Phantom Fury's very few fans. I really liked that game. It could have been way better in a lot of departments, but the weapon and level variety made it really fun for me. That super shotgun was really cool.
I'm another one of these few fans you mentioned. And I can say that I genuinely loved this one. It didnt feel disappointing to me. It just felt different from the first! 😉 And it was a great challenge too.
Tbf skull and bones is a Quadruple A experience because now it seems that the more A's, the worse the game
Everyone in the community: “we don’t want this as a live service game”. Suicide Squad: “we’re gonna do it anyways”.😅
Thank goodness for Visage. Glad yall have been talking about that game on this channel more often.

Foamstars wasn't bad at first, but square-enix missed the opportunity to engage the player that in 2 months after the release they released a character and single player mode (on a multyplayer game XD ) without adding no new mode and only on weekend with special modes
Maybe it's the nostalgia but me and my brother use to play South Park for N64 all the time growing up and had so much fun.
Suicide Squad was a blast with a full 4 man group. The issue was once we beat the game, the end game was just a boring grind of repeating missions.
My Yakuza 4 remaster Steam cloud save disappeared randomly and I was on the finale chapter, about 23 hours in. That was pretty disappointing.

Anyone think Ubisoft is about 3 years behind every game, like..yup, seen it.
I still to this day have no idea how people hyped skull n bones so much. Then hated it when the game came out looking exactly like what was always shown in trailers
This isn’t weird gaming stories of June 😢

As for the video itself, it's good. When I read [First Half], I first thought it meant you were doing two videos and this was the first one, instead of first half of the year which was more logical...that just tells how F many flops there have been this year.
