As a degreed vocal musician, choral director and composer, i am in awe of what you and all of us as singers have been able to produce for posterity. I am so delighted that the facebook page became such a wonderful place for the support of each other. It is a prime example of the power of music. When we sing gently together there are no divisions . . . just voices singing. . . together . . . as one! This is the magic of music! I am thrilled.
This was such a "mountain top" experience. Tears of joy! I loved preparing, being part of the Facebook community, and learning from Eric and other musicians from around the world. The After Party discussion was so beautiful. Thank you Eric and team!
I’m sitting here at work and just realized this was released. I immediately went and grabbed my headphones so I could really hear and feel the music. From the moment the piano started it grabbed me. I closed my eyes and just started to cry listening to this. It is by far the most elegant, emotional, and beautiful piece of music I have heard in a long time. The message behind the music is so relevant all over the world today, especially right now in the United States. Thank you, Eric, for writing is such a masterpiece and giving me yet another song to get lost into.

Over Seventeen Thousand Voices ( Yes 17K!) Coming from Isolation, Joining together from all over the World (129 Countries) from all walks of Life . The Choir participants come from all walks of life including communities such as visually impaired, hearing impaired, immune deficiencies where isolation is a way of life for them such as cystic fibrosis, opening up in and through the Gift of song , “Sing Gently as One”
This comes to us during it difficult and challenging time, regardless of your opinions (and mine), I/we have to remember to take care of Nother we need each other quite desperately during the challenges and triumphs we can still walk together virtually and make the difference that our world needs today! This after party was so amazing so that we can see all the dedicated hard work, thought, and beauty that went into this piece (pieces, really, with the different versions Eric is publishing). This project reminded me why I chose a career in music and ultimately in choral music. As soon as the Facebook page got going, I saw so many posts that were encouraging, kind, respectful and helpful. This song at this time with these people...wow. Thank you, Eric Whitacre, from North of 60, Canada. PS my TH-cam name is an alias. Never thought when I set this up I would want to be identifiable. I loved being part of Virtual Choir 6! Beautiful music with lyrics sounding a note of hope in this crazy time we are living in. The visual look so perfectly matched to the music and the message. Can I ask a silly question? How do you become a part of this if they do it again? I am a lover of choirs and have sang years ago.. and this just touched my heart in so many ways. I would love to have myself and my twin daughter s as they sing as well do this for my grandkids.. it is something bigger than our problems. it is bigger than our wants and needs.. it is bigger than the rush and grind of our every day life... IT is heaven here on earth for a few grace filled moments.. we are all one... I loved ir.
I love how you put that-"Heaven on earth for a few grace filled moments." I was lucky enough to find the project when it was still in it's beginning stages, just by searching fb for virtual choirs. I didn't know then what a beautiful thing I'd stumbled on! If you want to be part of future projects, (I so hope he does more! 🤞) just follow the fb page and you should be able to keep informed on his plans.

As many times as you want. I find myself drawn to this when I am have a very difficult and frustrating day where everything seems to go wrong. I just plug in my headphones, turn off the TV and sit back and truly listen to the words and see all the singers coming together as one. This video will still be played for years to come. The message that it brings can be applied to any situation happening. Don’t be afraid that you have to limit the amount of times listening and watching this video. It will always be there when you need it. ❤️🤟🎵🎶🎼
