You accomplished what I dream about... sort of. Would love to make an MK3 Jetta with AWD and LS1 engine. I would rather do a V8 swap then build up a 4cylinder. I wonder what sort of cost and fabrication it would take
Hey man that's what I'm trying to do to my 97 volkswagen golf mk3 4 door an i just want to know what I need, an what kind of shop would do it. So can you help me out please
Its too expensive of a swap to make sense. Not only do you need to swap out the suspension but you also have to swap out the engine because Golf's have a rectangular shaped engine opposed to the longitudinal engines of RWD cars. Just buy a RWD car.
or just get an adapter kit... you would still need to swap your suspension but the engine would be fine. but you are going to want to put a vr6 in there anyways (;
ahead of it’s time. been wanting to do this since high school
I'll take 7.
lmfao yesss.
Wow! Respect! What a cool drift!
Remind me when TH-cam recommends this to everyone
Why was this project postet in 2016 on Facebook and not earlier ?

It's actually a twin turbo LS1. Currently planning out this swap or turbocharging an is300 to make it a REAL 2jz.
lsx swap extreme coulda kept it vag and went with an r8 motor

But....it´s a drifting Golf !! =D ... That´s worth it =P. Nobody would expect a Golf with a freakin V8 in it =D. So if you have the money ... why not?
Nick Levesque the whole point of a vr6 is so that you can fit a transverse engine into a small area to power the front wheels
Nick Levesque i mean... I'm sure you know that, but i don't know how a vr6 powered rwd car would really work
Maybe get a 4-motion Golf, disconnect the front wheels and send 100% of the power to the rear wheels. But I don´t know if this really works.
