Thank you Mr. "K" .Several days of work go into the building of a song from the inspiration phase to finally give it a cogent message. Poetry, melody, guitar and voice all need to agree. Musically and visually a video needs to resonate with a ring of truth. In the studio we start with a complete live run through of the song with guitar and voice. Then Jon James does his magic with any additional instrumentals needed and on this song Kristin's harmonies were a wonderful grace note. Total studio time is usually 4 t0 6 hours and Voila, we have a new video. JRW
Perhaps I should mention that Jon James and I are the complete crew. Kristin is always on hand to provide a harmonious partner. We've been doing it for nearly 20 years. Your candid comments are among the most appreciated. We have a small but dedicated group of commentators that we rely on for feed back. JRW
Maria, here's a quote from another listener from Brazil and a song he liked, JEFFERSON LUCIANO FRANZA WONDERFUL SONG . CONGRATULATIONS FROM BRAZIL ............The song is about one of my grand children. th-cam.com/video/7FjTSHkxwxw/w-d-xo.html.
It's great that you two are starting to make music together. Thinking of my Mom and the things I did do for her, and the things I should have done more of for her. Nice song.
Thanks Keith, We've been married for 37 years . We.ve only been doing duets for three years but here's our first outing. The spoken intro tells the story of how it came about. Now we have several other songs on my channel. Here's the link to "Silly Love Songs" :th-cam.com/video/Kl56oeC9PZM/w-d-xo.html JRW
Every year for the last five I've entered PBS' the Tiny Desk" contest The main reason is, its free. This video begins with a rambling dissertation about laying the Flag" for old folks and "Read my books" The introduction to my version of Antonin Vivaldis' "The Seasons" is preceded with an apology for my mildly frivolous spoof. PBS needs a poke in the nose now and again th-cam.com/video/Ll6vdvyuWyQ/w-d-xo.html JRW
Really Really Well Done............ Props to the whole crew. Many thanks to all involved.
