Why are the replacement paddles marked L and R when they look the same?

I just got my 721 used and my augers have the R and L on the rubber .Does that mean that the rubber maybe fairly new ?.
I recall belts showing white lines (nylon) L R are sides but they are letter markings, they look good you be okay
They look good why change them?.
Age was the reason, I did a maintenance on the whole thing
