I understand that all the parts cost a ton, not including all the labor time and taking care of logistics. It is very rare to ever get a return on investment with anything done to a vehicle. Hope you get what you're asking for, I just personally would rather dump that amount into my own rig.
I am asking to get half of what is into it. And remember that is my “asking price”. Nobody has asked if I’m negotiable and handled this like an adult, and actually made an offer
@@Down2Mob it will sell for right at or under 6 figures is my guess. It's really cool no doubt.
The value of something is equal to what people will pay for it. If you can get your asking price then more power to you
You are correct, and that is my asking price. No one has asked if I’m negotiable, which I am
Terrific video with all the contributors explaining the value of the rig! Good luck on your future endeavors!
Put it on the block at Berrett Jackson, ya never know, could bring a lot more. As for 125, in this market, and being one off, probably fair. It's just like that old commercial where the kid is trying to sell a hamburger for 10k, and the kid says "I only need one"
The fact this never made it on the Rubicon is a travesty
It was a goal that I never prioritized. It made it to countless amazing no name trails away from the crowds, but nothing that would make me sound cool, other than crawling the waterfall at Disney lol
@Down2Mob I never did get to see if your rig could actually rock crawl. Looked like the departure angle wasn't very good.
Always wishing you the best! Enjoy your videos, your energy, and your personality.
Unique/custom vehicles are hard to price as there are no comparables. You really need to find the one buyer who likes it and wants to spend that much. I guess time will tell what it eventually sells for.
I smell a raffle coming soon!😂
What’s the brand of the storage box on the Jeep cab ?
If that thing is still available in August I'm coming for that!
Sounds good! It’s going up for auction in the next couple weeks!
Hey Phil I can't wait to see what you do next! I think that your jeep camper set-up would go for about $165,000.00 . At $125,000.00 someone is and will be getting it for a steal of a deal! I'm waiting on my big check to come in so I can build me a rig to Down To Mob in! Looking forward to you next adventure an your new Down To Mob rig! Your fan Leonard from North Carolina.
If it's a steal it would be sold already.
Hey Leonard! Thank you for the comment! I agree, someone will get a one of a kind rig with no wait time!
Good luck selling your rig, its definitely an awesome build!
Your rig is definitely worth 125K that’s a great deal
Thank you Michelle!
I would have priced it at $200K and then negotiate it down to $125K. 🤠
Haha I wanted to price it fair and also have some room for negotiation.
its worth what someone is willing to pay for it...good luck
Ya man you want to buy it! Naw I’m good but best price here🤣🤣
he is already committed to his ambo build
Hey Phil, something about your channel, seems to attract a lot of haters and assholes. Most of them probably live in their mothers basement, without a pot to piss is or a window to throw it out of. Whatever, those losers aren’t your market. Neither am I actually but not because I think you’ve overpriced your rig. I’m currently in the process of doing a high end ambulance conversion so that is where my money is going. When my rig is complete, the cost will be well over CDN100,000.00. So I do understand where you’re coming from. Good luck with the sale and sooner or later, a believer with deep enough pockets will make you a decent offer. And I really do enjoy your channel. Keep providing the great content.
Hello and thank you for this comment. I am perplexed as to why my channel would attract haters but lately it does seem that you are right. I think my ex created some with her slander about me online. I also make a lot of videos of high dollar rigs so this price ignorance is nothing new. What I don’t understand is that I put out positive, fun content. I don’t get on here and act like a victim or complain, so why do I attract victims and complainers? I really wish people would just lay off sometimes. It’s made me rethink all of this many times in the past. Most people don’t get ridiculed daily for the job they do, but then again, 95% of my engagement is very positive and motivational, so I need to focus on that! Thanks for understanding, your comment actually means a lot, and reminds me that it’s not just me seeing this
Love the channel brother and hope to meet ya someday! Fellow AZ rv/off-road tuber here!! I have an exciting off-road project in the works and would be cool to show it to ya one day. I think it’s gonna put my channel on the map for off road camping 🤩 Anyways, Brian with backcountry adventures said we all need to mob soon 🤙
I don’t understand who it’s for. It’s a double cab so it has four seats. But the box holds one person comfortably. Maybe two. Why optimize around the double cab?
Love the build. Does it still have a factory warranty on it, or is that gone to the wind?
Thank you! That was only for 2 years, it has just over 65k miles
How about a crossover and sell it on Cars and Bids?
$125k is alot, but I dont think it's a bad price for what you have done to it. And rermember, haters gonna hate.
What is the next Build?
so... it's not for sale.. lol
I really want to do a single cab super duty shorty!! Or an ambulance cab.. and shortened frame with "ujoint off-road" lift. Maybe with a newer front clip..
And I like leaf springs but coils are fine too with a 04 up you get the brackets with it so I would stay with coils.. it's Already got the axles and heavy frame..
I want to do an adventure style camper sitting on a fendered off-road flatbed.. but with dual 2' slides and a rigid pop up. That lowers down over the retracted slides. nothing over the cab and short rear departure angle.
I'm surprised nobody has done one yet..
Maybe you will beat me to it!! 😮😅
Hint hint
Like a harley Davidson, if you put 50 in it. You'll never get it back
I’m not trying to get it all back. I’m asking half of what’s in it
OMG, that is crazy over priced 😮😮😮 I could get an 4WD sprinter van that is a lot more room for a lot less money. THe sprinter does good enough off road, the living space is WAY MORE important than having a bit more off road capability. Sorry you wasted 200,000 K on that, but you can not expect to ever get back money that was so badly spent....
It’s all about finding the right buyer. Most people this rig would never work for, therefore it’s overpriced.
But for anyone who this is their dream rig, and the rig they want to build or need for their application. The rig is way under priced. There is no way that person could build this rig to the quality it’s been built to for this price when you add in all the labor.
Hope you find that buyer Phil! Good luck. They are out there!
After all that time creating this truck to fit you, why are you selling? What's next for you? New rig? Change of lifestyle?
Did Nichols sell that awesome Ram? That was a good deal.
I’m guessing you’re next rig will have more living space with shower and bathroom? All the best Phil.
All the immensities for over-night guests of the opposite s*x!
People don’t realize, that not only is he selling this for less then half of what he has into it, he’s also letting go of a small part of his soul. GUYS! You can’t build this, or anything even close for that price. You cant axle swap a new gladiator and afford the tires at this price. Shit is expensive. If you can’t afford expensive shit then you just can’t afford it. That doesn’t make his stuff cheaper. Mobbin ain’t cheap.
That was his mistake blowing 200,000 dollars on that, and no one cares what he paid to build it, only what it is worth to them. Personally, I would rather have a Sprinter van 4 WD. A lot more room for less money, and does good enough off road.
I would buy it, if I had the cash. We should all buy it share it lol 🤙🏽
My brother has had a few custom rigs over the years. He says the usual rule of thumb is that you're doing good to get 30% of what you pay to customize a rig. The base value of the vehicle itself is pretty well established by NADA. It's just an unfortunate reality -- you hope you get back most of what you spend by using the rig but you always get spanked on a resale. :(
Another brother buys whatever and always tricks them out -- f-a-r better than new -- always sells them at a loss and that's just the cost of parts; doesn't even begin to include the value of his countless hours of labor. For him, I guess it's like a hobby. He likes the process of tricking something out but it's no way to make any money.
I hope by the time I get my money, you still have this so I can buy it. I would be bummed if I miss it by close shave.
If you are serious about buying it and want to make me an offer, send it through the contact us at Down2Mob.com and let’s chat!
I would trade my XR for it . I won't even ask for gas money bro . Hey can I write a check for it . ""RIDE ON""
Nice rig that will definitely sell for whatever someone is willing to pay for it👍I am just not a fan of the engine😬
4 year old Chrysler that's been mobbed pretty good, 125k with the hellcat would be just about right.
@@troyrager1352that would be 125k WITHOUT a custom one off lightweight pop up livable camper, custom rear steel frame and aluminum flatbed
@@Down2Mob I wish you the best selling it, lots of people with lots of money who would pay, I'm sure you'll get 90, which is absurd but it's 2024, nothing makes sense price wise these days.
I can buy a new Tundra and four wheel camper and be at 50k… 125k 😝
we will see what it ACTUALLY sells for.......
To the right person, it may be worth about $75k. These jeeps are worth next to nothing, a new one can be had for $40k.
People seem to think this is only worth the price of a used Jeep, without anything put into it…
You’ll never get everything you put into it, but y’all are tripping, thinking $125k isn’t reasonable. It’s an off road rig, it’s a camper… and very few rigs will match it.
Way to much money, I would not give 50 K for it...

1st I rule
My lease is up in October, and I 110% would buy this if the timing overlapped. Whoever gets this is gonna be so lucky!
Suuuuuure you would.
Breaking the lease will only cost a couple of thousand. I'm sure the seller can cover that by knocking off a few thousand.
@5thgen1 I work at a place where that would be brought into question and reviewed. Otherwise I would. I'm slowly trying to make a life change though. If this isn't for sale in October, I will be getting into something else on wheels.
@@eradicator187 That would be rad. It's still cheaper than some of the sprinter vans I've been checking out.
@@dylankolodziej5029 Tell us how it drives when you buy it sir...stop making excuses. DO IT!
It’s to small and on a jeep.
$125,000 is a bargain to anyone who has ever done an extensive and unique custom build like this and knows what it would take to plan, manage and execute to this extent. And the fact it was all documented so well makes it even better. Someone is going to be getting a good deal.
You just cant really take a hardside camper on serious trails, if you want that comfort, its gonna be an overland rig, not a crawler.
Nothing about these interviews felt genuine... just people trying to sell a product lol
Uh yeah? Thats the point.
Well, you will get whatever someone is willing to offer. 🤷🏻♂️
You just cant really take a hardside camper on serious trails, if you want that comfort, its gonna be an overland rig, not a crawler. If you want to crawl, get an offroad trailer that you can leave at camp.
This thing has been on some gnarly trails, it will go anywhere it fits
I STILL think that rig is WAY underpriced!! Wish I could buy it.
Get a loan and buy it to flip!
Hopefully, if I flip it, it ends up back on all four tires! 😂
@@Galactusz007 They all think it's "WAY" too cheap but nobody is putting money where their mouth is.
