- 3 John Deere 72 Row Planters planting Soybeans
In this video I am out in the field with a family farm from Convoy Ohio as they are no till planting soybeans with their 3 John Deere DB 60 planter that are set up on 20 inch twin row spacing making them a 72 row planter. The twin rows are on an 8 inch spacing and 12 inch spacing row to row. The planters are being pulled by a John Deere 8RX 370 tractor and a Deere 8400R and 8370R with LSW Tires. - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ

Good selection of tires and tracks.
Pretty good sized garden to have 3 planters that size in one field. They sure can cover the acreage in a day.
Awesome video as always Mike. Unreal to see a planter that big. I can remember when I was little if a farmer had a 6 row planter he was big dog. 👍

I tried to count the rows on that planter then saw a shot of the second row of seed boxes in a drone shot. I am amazed. Never knew about 72 rows. I guess they are not doing 30 inches on the spacing.

Those are some expensive planters to maintain...hate to see the bill for new seed openers each time they replace them. I didn't even know Deere made twin row planters. Good video Mike!

I noticed there not running a coulter in front of the double disc openers? Just curious why not?
I myself have found they usually tangle up with residue / trash, just get rid of them I say. A lot of us have gone no coulter

I wonder if those were Stine Seed specials. They had diff manufacturers whip up twin 20’s and subsidized the price for the farmer if the farmer purchased a set amount of seed for 3 yrs. it was part of a narrow row corn push that Stine was on.
I don’t think the results were great, but could have been worse. The farmers could buy the planters dirt cheap after 3 yrs and have a great bean machine. Hell, it would be good enough for wheat.
One could modify these for high speed also, if they had the horsepower to pull it.
