    Got to love point rows grew up on a 180 acers farm not a square field on it . As always great video .

      Point rows? What are they? Where I live every square inch of every quarter section is 100% tillable.

    Wouldn't the wide 36" inch tracks make less compaction prior to seeding ?? Great drone video BTW !

      I suppose it is better to have the compression between the rows with narrow tracks then having compression where the seed will go with wider tracks.

    Mike, I watch your channel as well as Big Tractor Power, Millennial Farmer, Brian Brown, The Welkers, etc and I just wonder if there are any full time under a thousand acre crop farms left in the Midwest?

      Update on crops ! Having problems getting to pic’s to show ; but average corn height on farm is 46” !! Looking good , except for a few holes that have been repainted & are mostly up !! Sorry I couldn’t add pictures to ; phone lock up !!

    We live in 2 different worlds if you call that a small field. I have 18 fields that total 36 acre's. About 12 or 13 are an acre or less, my biggest field is 22.5 and that has a 3 acre wet spot and half the field is covered in rocks.🤔

    Any time I have a half million dollars sitting around l would put it on a planter little overkill 😎

      We need it for our 1300bu cart as well so Instead of having another tractor to run this planter why not kill 2 birds with one stone there pal.

    What is the row spacing?

    • @farmhandmike
      @farmhandmike  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      20 inches

    • @AASparkChaser
      @AASparkChaser 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@farmhandmike That's what I was thinking. Or 22". It certainly didn't look like the entire planter was 90' wide which it would have been if the row spacing was 30".

    Using a sledge hammer to dive a tack but if the 9420 is just sitting there might as well use it and its GPS. My 1971 3020 wold pull that planter.

      They might have wanted the narrow track option and this is the smallest narrow track John Deere makes.
