I periodcially spray them and other rubber components under the hood liberally with 303 Protectant . And when I change my oil using a mechanics lift . I also liberally spray 303 Protectant on all the rubber components underneath . This to resist drying out and cracking .
Don't use a jack and a piece of wood unless you're an expert? Experts would have the right gear to begin with. As long as the ground and wood are stable it should be OK.
Yeah it’s good I had to loosen up a motor mount on this 2016 Sentra and jack the Motor up a bit to get the belt tensioner off. It was my first time doing it and I didn’t have an issue with it mounts and everything still fine on the car now my mother-in-law’s gas pedal keep shaking while accelerating or even at idle so I’m assuming it is motor mounts just replace spark plugs on her car, runs a bit better now but still shakes in the gas pedal but the spark plugs did help it not shake as bad at lower speeds
@@nathanarmendariz48 I've actually just ordered a transverse engine hoist so I don't need to use a piece of wood & a jack. I don't feel safe using a jack on the road with a steep decline. Almost ready to do mounts I just need some new bolts and another mount. Check if the engine shakes and moves more than it should on a cold start

Very informative and lots of education here. Thanks buddy!!!
Very informative
How can I differentiate a rattle at idle caused by a failing engine mount vs a rattle at idle caused by a failing timing chain?
you can do the test where you hit the gas and press on the brake to see if the engine slops forward or backward and doing this in reverse as well
Great teaching
