We bought this awning mainly for short trips and weekends away, its easy to put up and provides good shelter.

Just bought one of these! Originally we were going to get the canopy version, but the guy didn't have any in stock, so we got one of these after he knocked off a few quid. Very easy to put up and great in the wind and rain. One thing I would suggest is to get rid the pegs provided and use decent ones. We used Blue Diamond Glow Pro which are a lot better.
Yes the pegs you get with these things are never that good. We use rock pegs for hard standing.
We used to love our porch awning for weekends and winter caravanning. Just handy and good to store things in. Nice video again Martin 🙂👍🏻

Lovely little easy to use awning, could do with one of these, a good compromise between an air awning and a canopy. Noticed a lovely shine on your van too Martin, looking good 👍🏻

Hi Martin nice review of awning I nearly bought that awning last year but when I measured the van the awning would have gone half way over two windows of van . And I didn't want that otherwise I would have had one can I say I've noticed how u done your wheel arch by using a skirt and a couple of sucker to cover your wheel arch I use to do that but it allway left marks on van off the sucker so I was on you tube one day and came across a video about wheel arch covers for caravans called draught stoppa it is a pvc board that opens out u put it over your wheel arch and behind your skirt and u have a velcro what u feed through your alloy wheel to hold in place and a cross bar what u feed threw your skirt to clip on to board to hold skirt up and I have to say they r brilliant I had mine for two years now and allway use it best part about it only 25 pounds to buy I'd look it up u won't b disappointed just look up www. Jaiddesigns. Co. UK and it a caravan awning draught stoppa and it on you tube aswell good luck .kev
Hi Kev, yes it’s a nice little awning. The cover over the wheel arch is only temporary. I have seen the draft stopper on another van and looks good. I will hopefully be ordering one for next year, just one more trip this year and I won’t be using a awning. Thanks for comments and watching, cheers Martin 👍
6 kg is really light , and like you say easy to put up , i think I may need to invest in something smaller just for the shorter stays

Loved my 260 that much, I bough the 390. Awesome awning for the dollar, only bad side is it’s not brilliant in the wind, would I recommend, 100%

We have a Sunncamp 220, which we tried out with our new caravan for 4 days this week. The weather was very wet with some substantial downpours but the Sunncamp remained dry inside. Being light weight I was able to shake off a lot of the water when packing it away, the it dried out very quickly when we got back home.
It’s a great awning for a weekend or a few days away. We will be using ours soon. Thanks for watching 😊

We have just bought this awning and have had a trial run putting it up. As you say it is fairly easy to put up but we are confused with the instructions when it comes the 'ring and pin'. What are they for and how did you use them? We are looking forward to using the awning for drying dogs down after wet and muddy walks, storing muddy boots and cooking. Should be a great asset if we can overcome the ring and pin issue 😂 Many thanks.
The pin should be inserted into the bottom of the pole, it’s so that the bottom is secured to the pole. The ring, I usually put a peg through it to secure. Hope that helps. Cheers

The Caravan Nut we put ours on the outside, I also think they need more hole to hold them down.
Yeh that’s what I thought, the wind blows under it so needs securing all along it. 🤔
The Caravan Nut we were away in September when we had the high winds, the awning stood up very well I was surprised it never parted company with the the caravan it just flexed.
Same with us, never moved! 🌬👍

how you would fix it to your van I’ve no idea. I would try a campervan YT channel to get ideas.
