I have had the pleasure of visiting Carlos at his nursery. I have purchased some beautiful variegated plants from him as well. He even sent me a beautiful rare succulent as a gift 🎁 This family is truly living the dream. They are amazing people with amazing work ethics. I am glad that he is getting the recognition that they deserve. I need to visit his nursery again very soon!
Hi Bobbie -- I imagine you do. Climate is the biggest challenge, even for me, and I live in Southern CA. It's always something...like last night, pounding hail that pitted the leaves of soft succulents.

I highly recommend Rojas to anyone who wants to support a small family-owned business with an amazing selection and beautiful specimens.
I agree, Mandy. A friend and I did the same thing---Pat Roach (who helped with the video and is a collector) drove south from Orange County and I drove north from Escondido. Her treasure of the day was a variegated stapeliad (Huernia zebrina 'Variegata').
He’s one of a kind. I really love Carlos how he welcomed his customers. Especially his mom she’s so sweet 🥰 They really give you a great price and you will never regret ending up buying so much 😅

I just ordered plants online from Rojas through Etsy and they are great plants, well packed and came very fast. Such nice people too! I live in Phoenix so I don’t think I will get there very soon, but someday I hope I will. Thanks Debra for showing this nursery!
I am planning a trip to California just to visit as many succulent nurseries as I can manage and then drive home because I know I won’t be able to not buy anything. Rojas nursery is being put on the list and I’m going to visit his Etsy right now!
Loved this video and your channel. I said, "I want that!" multiple times. And I'm definitely going to try that spray. I have heard of solutions like that being used to water to prevent pest but I don't think they used it every time, more like one a month, I believe.
Whatever they're doing must work. Pretty cool there are no nasty chemicals involved. Most times I've seen nursery plants look that good, it was partly due to being regularly treated with pesticides.
Mary Jane, I'm not kidding, their nursery plants are perfect---which is why I asked what the secret was. I was afraid Carlos might tell me they nuke them with some pesticide regularly. It's so cool that they don't!

Beautiful nursery! I’m on the east coast so I have to grow all mine indoors. I have over 200 so I find it much easier and less messy to bottom water my succulents. Any idea if this watering solution would work for bottom watering, sort of as a systemic, or do you think its preventative effects against pests is due to it being used as a topical treatment on the foliage?
