For banana pudding I like to use one vanilla and one banana flavored pudding and I use the little rectangle coconut cookies! So good!

Oh my Mel, my mouth is totally watering !! Both of these look delicious ! As you said , you could use any type crust or cookie then bananas, 2:03 cheese cake pudding mixed with cool whip, and do a layer of strawberries then a layer of crushed pineapples , layer again with pudding, then a layer of chocolate syrup with cut up cherrie, pudding mixture and top with chopped nuts or walnuts in syrup for a Banana Split style dessert !!!! Sounds great also ! Thank you for sharing these .. coconut is one of my favorites.

Oh my sweet Mel, you make me giggle way more than you know. My first giggle came when you referred to that can of sweetened condensed milk as "Nectar from Heaven." So I get myself calmed down, and you're slicing bananas and you proceed to tell us that you CANNOT use those little pointed ends of the banana in your banana pudding. I get calmed down again and I see that stringy part of the banana as your slicing and I say to myself, "Oh no, I bet Mel doesn't like those thingies either," because I don't and will not eat them. Sure enough out comes, "And I don't like those little things either, those strings." I LOL. Not only do you have wonderful recipes to share, but you're entertaining. I love ya. Hey sweet friend!🥰 I have got to try that. We love the nutter butters. That's my husband's favorite cookie. I buy the store brand too. Taste just as good to me! Lol. You know what.... I have searched the world over to find that instant coconut cream pudding. I tried walmart, ingles and publix. I have a Kroger about 30 minutes away, so I'll be making a bee line there asap! Lol. I even tried a recipe and tried to convert it using the cook n serve. And it didn't work.🤣 Thank you so very much for joining in on this collab! Love you Girl!🥰❤️

OMG I LOOOOOOVE BANANA PUDDING. Even better CHESSMAN cookies. Best I ever had in my life AND the pudding was homemade. I remember it was my moms best friend that made it for my grandma's get together after her funeral. Bless her heart. Best ever and what a granny she was. I was her FAVORITE!!!!! And to say I was my GRANDPA'S favorite is an understatement!!! I do digress!!! i love your channel and now i am going to make banana pudding!

I always use French vanilla pudding in my recipe. Instead of sweetened condensed milk, I use some sour cream. We love it and it cuts some of the sweetness as well.

I save my cool whip containers too, but you will be surprised what I use them for! I go shelling a lot and put the sand dollars in those containers fresh from the ocean. They work great for tiny or breakable shells as well. I make shell art from the shells, a craft handed down from my mom and grandmother. I love being able to visit the ocean so often! God is so good! Keep filming I enjoy you so much!
Oh I love this! I bet your art is beautiful, I always love collecting seashells when we go to the beach and I display them in bowls or jars, then I remember all the fun we had when I look at them!
I don't even know the last time I made banana pudding, but THIS is one I think I will make for Easter dinner! Especially with peanut butter drizzled on top! Thank you! Happy Easter!

Oh my goodness, Mel! These both look delicious!! When I visit my sister (not as often as I would like), I usually make a new treat to take to her. I can't wait to try these!! I make my banana pudding like you do, except I don't put in sweetened condensed milk and I use a whole tub of Cool Whip----love that stuff! I always just use vanilla wafers. And I always use French Vanilla instant pudding mix. So good. I have a recipe for Eclaire Cake that uses the Graham Crackers. The filling for it uses 2 boxes Jello French Vanilla instant pudding mix and 3 cups milk (use a whole tub of Cool Whip) layered with Graham Crackers. Use a 9 x 11 or 9 x 15 pan. Start with Graham Crackers, layer of pudding, one more layer of graham crackers, one more layer of banana pudding, last layer of graham crackers and refrigerate over night (otherwise it's too soft to add the icing). Next day, top with chocolate icing. Soooo good! PS: Love your channel/recipes! I'm a subscriber.
Momma Mel, for something even more different, try using a chocolate pudding instead of vanilla, bustill use the nutter butter cookies, and the two drizzles. Very different, but also very good .

Mel my favorite cookie is butter and I love me some banana pudding.going to make this tomorrow just have to get the cookies and cool whip.and yes I save my containers also when we have family meals I take them and anyone that wants to take leftovers home has to bring there own containers it's a rule around our family.that Tupperware gets expensive replacing.😂

Mama Mel, I love watching you so much, that I clicked on this video even though I hate banana pudding, LOL! I am SO glad I did though, cuz that 2nd dessert with the coconut is right up my alley. I love coconut, cream cheese, & graham crackers. I'm going to make this just as soon as I can get to town for the ingredients. Thank you for that hidden surprise. I love your videos so much. funny, I have always used the measuring cup to flatten my crumb crust.
Some chopped peanuts as a topping on that first recipe would be good too.

Milk has water in it. So it separates. I use a little coopwhip in mine
If you forget to thaw your cool whip, put it in the microwave on defrost for 26 seconds, lid on. It will be perfect.

These look absolutely scrumptious, Mel! I'd like to make the banana pudding dessert for a little get together my exercise group is having next Saturday. In order to make it a bit healthier and add some protein, what are your thoughts on substituting vanilla Greek yogurt for the sweetened condensed milk and/or the Cool Whip?

I've always made it the night before and it's been fine. I use bananas that are "just" ripe, no brown at all on the peel. Hope you love it, you will have to let me know. Thanks for watching 😊
