You are so kind to give us that don't have a lot of money a lesson for free. I would like to give you a small amount. If we can give 1.99 a month it won't sink us an still support you sweet Louise!!!!!
I have done the free 2 months of skillshare and my painting has improved considerably. I am about to start my first year membership. Thank you Louise for your time and teaching. I love your style.
Thank you so much for your detailed explanations of your watercolour painting process! It is never too much information when trying to feel comfortable using this challenging medium. Your style of visual & verbal instructions are superior. Very much appreciated!😊
Gorgeous work Louise! I am painting a water lily for a friend's July Birthday card! I will use your wonderful instructions to get it done! Thank you so much for sharing your skills!
Oh Louise you are an absolutely amazing watercolor artist but I have to say, some days, I just need to cheer myself up and nothing does like your bloopers. You are great and never fail to bring out a giggle. Loren ;)
I have just discovered your channel! Love your style and I’m learning a lot. Especially love the bloopers at the end❤️! Thank you for giving me a good laugh!
Louise! This was beautiful! Thank for sharing your skills and artwork with us. I enrolled in the Watercolor summit 1.0 over this past winter and I just loved your rose tutorial you had on there. I am on my 3rd rose! This flower is next. I also did the 2 months free skill share and cant wait to start and watch you on there as well. I am a big fan of your work and truly enjoy watching and listening to you teach. Many Thanks!
That was super helpful and has inspired me for today's practice. Also, thank you for sharing your bloopers. You portray such a calm persona during the video, the end was especially surprising and funny!
Thank you Louise, for your excellent teaching. I have learned so much in technique and paints and tools. I have just invested in a size eight round brush and shall get practicing your tips on the wet techniques. Thank you for sharing with us and love your outtakes!
Just loved watching this video Louise. It's a beautiful painting and thanks for sharing the technique used here. I'm gonna try painting this one for sure 😊
This got me so excited! Tried it before but it was not great. Thank you for this, I will try to paint this flower again. And, thank you for the skillshare, I clicked on the free trial! 😉 Oh, and I always watch until the end, just shows how much hardwork you really put into your uploads. Love it!
This is marvelous. I love how you explain things and why. I always have trouble with wet in wet but the water dries before I can finish or blending it out.
OMG. I am a new subscriber to your channel and I just found out your end clip. I love it. I like you and your channel even more. Thank you so much. I feel like I am not the only one. 😊
Just finding your new video as I'm leaving the house, look forward to watching it this eve! I neglected to complete my comment after watching - wonderful video as always, really beautiful layering of colors, I'm practicing that now in anticipation of following along on Patreon, can't wait!
Simply gorgeous and one of my favorite flowers. I'll give it a try. Your technique, style, and teaching methods are wonderful and I always learn so much. Thank you for sharing. I'm also on your Patreon and have taken 2 skillshare classes with you. Just marvelous.
Being new to watercolor, and as it is a hobby rather than a professional pursuit, I have limited my budget to less expensive papers. I mainly have cold pressed, 140 lb. I haven't worked very much with stretching it. Could you review (or do you have a tutorial on) the behavior of papers of varying content? For example, how does the cotton content affect the water absorption/retention vs. non-cotton papers, and is it the cotton that holds the pigment more permanently (thus the desire to dry completely between layers)? Also, does the sizing additive make a difference? I've seen tutorials on stretching that suggest that soaking the paper washes out the sizing (so some will soak the paper with just enough water so as not to dilute or disturb the sizing.) Tysm!! I always love your tutorials! I watch your videos whether or not I intend to follow along!! Always informative! And the outtakes are gold!
Hi Linden, Thank you! I have a video here on TH-cam about how I stretch paper. I always stretch before I paint. I like to use Arches paper which is sized to it's core not just on the surface. I also like Fabriano Artistico and I use Saunders Waterford for practice paintings. There are lots of good brands that vary in pricing but I would never buy pulp paper. It doesn't compare to 100% cotton paper. Yes sizing makes a big difference. If you leave your paper in water too long you risk removing the sizing and you don't want to do that.
Thank you so much, Louise! I've watched your video on stretching; I need to invest in some boards for that. But I was starting to suspect that the paper content must also make a big difference!! Your explanation is quite informative (this is what I appreciate so much about you!); I will definitely start looking for cotton paper. (Might have to look elsewhere than Amazon. Blick, maybe.) Thanks again! Hope you and yours are well!
Lovely! I'm so looking forward to trying painting (I'm still away from home but I should be able to try watercolors soon!). Your videos are very helpful, thank you a lot ^__^
Louise I love your videos, your beautiful creations and your tutorials, you have such soothing voice, I can listen to you all day. I want to sign up to your class, but I need to ask,is it for complete beginners? Thank you
Louise De Masi Yes, Louise, I collect pictures of poodles on Pinterest. If to look at name “me” for file “best friends “ , you find many pictures. My dog was miniature white with apricot shades.
I am finding this video very helpful Louise. We have just been to Monet’s Garden so water lilies are on my mind. Is there a list of the colours you have used? Thank you for sharing your expertise and experience.
Hi Louise……I just signed up for your painting tutorials via Patreon. Are you switching over to SkillShare or are going to be using both ways to get your classes? I like them very much and learning them is much easier.
You def need to move to LA n do workshops... With n S that's i said move and not just come. 😉✊🏽 just saying. Anywho love your work! Extremely helpful vid 🌷🌹
@@LouiseDeMasi relax, Louise, you do not need to try a perfect voice recording for us (at least not for me, I am from Germany and I am glad that I can follow your painting instructions anyway). If it takes too long, leave the voice recording as it is. In fact I follow you quite a while even on skillshare, I took a lot of your classes and my painting improved very much with your help. Thanks a lot.
Thank you so much for your precise tutorials. I learn so much. Can I use Arches paper instead of the paper you are using and get the same effect? I can't find the paper you use online. Also, how do you get the edges so nice and dark as it looks like you added a bit of black or dark hues Mine are runny and blobs of pink. But, I used Fabriano paper this first time.
If we already subscribe to Skillshare and have a premium account does that make us ineligible bc when I hit on the link it just takes me to my account and offers me the chance to pay for a year up front vs how I’m currently doing it which is monthly. And that’s totally ok I was just wondering. Thank you
I wanted to learn from you so I’m thinking skillshare or patreon? Do you have all lessons on both? Or is it different so I might have to choose if I like skillshare or patreon better?
You are so kind to give us that don't have a lot of money a lesson for free. I would like to give you a small amount. If we can give 1.99 a month it won't sink us an still support you sweet Louise!!!!!
Thank you Lynn. 😘

Thank you Ana! I've put the brushes in the description.
I wannu learn to cook better too! :) The painting is beautiful, of course, I will borrow some of your techniques.
Lol.... me too! I wish I enjoyed cooking as much as I enjoy painting. Thanks Don. 😅
As always flawless. Thank you!🌹Is it possible to show how to paint a miniature apricot poodle in watercolor?
Thanks Lada! I've never seen a miniature apricot poodle. Do you have one?
