Really Nice video, showing the beauty that can be experienced in the higher elevations.. Though the waters appear to reflect different colors the water is always crystal clear up close at your feet. And I agree during the summer months you can almost set your watch regarding the time a mountain shower will move through the area. Sometimes they can just be a light shower, but they can really be some thunder boomer storms as well.. Keep posting the videos Dana! Stay Safe!
Sorry for the late response. Yes it is a day trip. It is a bit strenuous but easy day trip. It might be a little busy but July is a good time for it. There is still a lot of snow up there so you may want to check on that. Safe trip.

There were a few people camped there so I would think so. Might check to be sure.
