I know this was hard for you Dave and much respect to you my friend. I'm old as dirt (70) and when new chapters in life happen, you write songs about it! The blues is pretty common ground for most guitarists and this is fuel for music, sad as the transition may seem. Cici is quite young and so talented, her journey is really all ahead of her. Sometimes there are no mistakes and sometimes people need to go on a walkabout and clear the soul! May you all never thirst and for good gravy's sake....make a blues album from this experience. You got a couple of great records from this chapter and there'll be many more my friend, many more!

It's so heartbreaking to watch this. I know the feeling but I always remember myself that at any moment something can happen (even a very small thing) that will get you back on track and make you happy again. Feeling sad is not something you should hide or be ashamed of, that's why i appreciate this video so much because most people don't show that. Years I’ve struggled a bit, off n on with my head and I’ve been lucky to get thru lots. I want to tell you that heart pain gives the best music but the worst pain. But you will survive this. Under no circumstance blame yourself cause you can’t control someone else’s feelings, only acknowledge them and live with them best you can. You are who you are and that’s who we love seeing and hearing. Sometimes ya get burnt out on fish n chips and you can’t eat ‘em for a while so you take time from the fish n chips. It can help to maybe re-establish your appetite for fish n chips. In the meanwhile you the fish n chips carry on and maybe meet new people make new music find new friends. Dave our friend, what a person you are. Friendly, fun, talented, thoughtful & kind, guitarist wonderkin, but just like so many of us lacking this lots of that. Years I’ve struggled a bit, off n on with my head and I’ve been lucky to get thru lots. I want to tell you that heart pain gives the best music but the worst pain. But you will survive this. Under no circumstance blame yourself cause you can’t control someone else’s feelings, only acknowledge them and live with them best you can.
You are who you are and that’s who we love seeing and hearing. Sometimes ya get burnt out on fish n chips and you can’t eat ‘em for a while so you take time from the fish n chips. It can help to maybe re-establish your appetite for fish n chips.
In the meanwhile you the fish n chips carry on and maybe meet new people make new music find new friends.
Your current friends out there all still love ya and are here, there and everywhere for you. You bring us great music, memories and life that’s real. Thank you very kindly, Dave.

I am watching your channel regularly since you've demo'ed the Orange Crush 20 RT, and many years later now basically almost everything I know today about setting up a guitar and gear in general I once learned from you, or took your settings, ideas and opinions as a starting point. I can not thank you enough for all the honest content you are creating on here. You are a very likeable man and a virtuosic musician, as you can see for yourself in all the comments that are raining down on you.
Now, I am shocked about those sad news. It seemed to me like two soulmates had finally met, musically and personally. - Having gone through bitter breakups myself I know, as most of us, that no words of encouragement can really help any further when the pain is as fresh as it is right now. But we saw you getting over the breakup with Joe, so you will recover from this one as well. Quitting is not an option, you have to out-live your demons, even if that means playing Pearl Jam's "Black" / Pink Pop- version on endless repeat.
