That second case….My heart feels shattered for the mother. Two handsome sons. And to lose both!! I can’t even imagine her pain.

She was being a good daughter, sibling and cousin.
She was loyal to everyone.
Second case: The young woman is 21, her son is 19 months old, so she had this baby sometime between ages 18 and 20, the date of conception being 9 months earlier. So by the time she was between 17 and 19 she already had two daughters. We don't know how old these daughters are, but it has to be somewhere between three and seven years old.
No wonder her mother was disappointed in this young woman: she's the one who is most probably raising all three babies. It's time for her daughter to behave more responsibly.

2nd case - she knew. She wasn't the least surprised. A beautiful woman of only 21 with three children and no fathers around. She has a beautiful son, but what chance does he stand?
She made up an entire false narrative. She was bouncing and crying before the judge even read the results and then after the reading, she came clean. Just wasted everyone’s time and toyed w the not-the-grandparents’ emotions. Ridiculous.

Please, Judge Lake, stop trying to pawn off children on those men and their families to whom they are not related. They got the answers they needed so they can move on and separate without guilt or ill feelings. Let them be.

I think she thinks about the bond the child makes with the person and their family sadly. However, those families like you said should be able to move on with no form of guilt because they aren't the ones who ruined the relationship the mother did.

After watching these two cases, I remember my mother saying, "You will never know the pain of losing a son until you bury him before you! This was after my brother was murdered." Prayers for these mothers that God will restore them one hundred fold. But I also pray that these two women will grow to know their worth, they would receive "beauty for ashes," and that one day have a man who will love them and their children unconditionally. Both of these cases are sad and shocking.
First case; I might be unfair, but I think part of Mrs. Colon's issue is that the younger woman is not who she would have wanted for her son. I sense _she_ wanted to pick who her son would choose as a partner. I don't buy her "cousin" argument; her son and the young woman were not blood relations. Related by marriage probably means the young woman was someone's stepdaughter.
At the end of the day they are not related! They are also grown!
