I’m American and just finished the Habibi version. I agree, the US culture fits so well. But as I watched this show I noticed so many cultural and family practices come into play with this show. The couples don’t really show physical affection in public, they did not live together like they do in the US version. I also found that the people coming from different countries and backgrounds made it a little more difficult.

Totally agree! The complexity of pursuing marriage in the Middle-East as opposed to the West was definitely highlighted in a way that other international LIB seasons did not. I think they'd have to make quite a few differences to the show to make it work with the culture, but that may require a rebrand haha

I kind of like the limited physical affection though, sometimes I watch love is blind UK, USA and it feels like im watching soft pornography, they hate each other, the dont have values aligned, but theyre sleeping together, and kissing at first sight, im confused even though im from the UK

@@englishblade I agree. Although, I am American I think we go overboard at times. Just like they are not leading with looks, I also think the physical should wait too.

I‘ve watched several Love is blind Shows from all over the world now. I must admit that I enjoyed the Habibi version the most. In a world where I am born and raised without cultural boundaries and expectations, I feel that it’s more classy and thoughtful not to sleep and make out with my chosen partner and drink alcohol like it was my job. I like oriental men like Amar. I think I could teach him a lesson or two on how to treat a woman by wrapping him around my pinkie. I‘m a cold-blooded Northern woman. 😅 Xx from Germany, take care y‘all ❤

Thanks for sharing your thoughts Ella 🙏 glad to have our first comment from Germany 🇩🇪 !
It's interesting to hear that the 'Habibi' version brought a fresh perspective-sounds like the cultural differences resonated with you! Ammar definitely seems to have made an impression, huh? 😄 Your ‘cold-blooded Northern’ charm might just be what he needs to stay on his toes!
      Thanks for watching! ❤️
