Piper Meridian (4K), Takeoff from Saint-Tropez (LFTZ)

  • La Môle is very special due to its topographical and meteorological characteristics. Every pilot in command needs to perform a local training in La Môle with an authorized instructor. Markus completed the training five years ago and came here several times before with different types of aircraft. This time is the first departure with his Meridian. OAT 34°C and maximum takeoff weight. This flight from Saint-Tropez across the Alps to Augsburg (EDMA) took 1 hour 48 minutes.

    Man sieht halt auf dem PFD leider weder climb rate noch Höhe, noch IAS… besser mal richtig ran zoomen.

      Mit 4K-Auflösung funktioniert das bestimmt alles - sprich auf einem großen Bildschirm. Auf dem Handy wird ja meistens die Auflösung auf 480p oder 720p reduziert - dann sieht man leider nix ...

    Hi Wolfgang! The plane "filled up" pretty quickly with your wife, daughter and grandchildren in the back! 😁 If you are blessed with more grandchildren, what is the next step? PC-12 or jet?

      Hi Ibrahim!!! You got he point ;-) .... The main issue is of course payload. We are pretty much at the limit with this configuration. Luggage for longer trips does not work. That's why there is now more talk of a PC12. But a jet is quite unrealistic and unreasonable because of the horrendous fuel consumption values. Let's see what the future brings ... ;-)
      ... I checked out your brothers flight training. What a great area to fly in. It reminded me of lots of hours of simulator flying in my old Microsoft Flightsimulator many years ago ... very coool ;-)

      @@berndl The TBM is a nice plane, but only one more seat than the Piper. The PC-12 has room to grow and has a proper lavatory.
