So, half-Turk lady here. The film is not named after anyone. The word “baskin” means “raid” or “a raid.” There is a lot of imagery in this film that gets lost if you don’t have an understanding of the Muslim view of “hell” and general (Turkish) folklore and mythology. Also, just in case it come up, the police dudes were just talking shit. I seriously, seriously doubt any of them have ever slept with an animal. He’s just macho talking which is a common trope in Turkish stories. Guys, sorry for all the confusion my comment created. Here in Turkey, it was subjected to such ridiculation like you'll never believe. I'm glad you liked it
@Corvidae usual z generation shit. you know them, just for the sake of being controversial AND some religion related dialogues, it was discredited. I think the movie is solid too.
@@Raccon_Detective. have you ever been to Istanbul? Whats your point?
Because most of us have no taste, i feel bad for director.
@@nesrinoz3926 his point is that Florida is the same way you described Turkey's close-minded people
@@sabot4ge close minded? Nah. We that "oh no this is religiously inappropiate" folk is a loud minority and we are used to them so they just say their thing and we move on.
The movie is not that good tho. It solely relies on gore and doesn't even feel like an unescapable hell.
Me: Well, time for bed 🛌.
Found Flix: What's up, guys?
Me: I don't need to sleep yet.
Oh baby, middle of a close and I get this gem to serenade me as I mop floors, thank you for producing such quality content
“Why go into a shithole when you have a rose garden instead.”
Well sometimes roses don't grow where I'm going. Only mudpits.
I didn't get that line
I feel bad for the people who accidentally misclicked the dislike button.

Can’t wait for the prequel “Carol”
"Hey there all you cool cats and kittens" *runs for my life*
I am from Turkey and I haven't heard about this movie until now. The title seemed Turkish and I thought "Do we have a film named Baskın?" I'll watch it for sure. Thanks for shining light on Turkish cinema. We have a couple of good horror movies one of them called "Büyü" it's an old one but everyone knows it.
Loved this, still would LOVE for you to cover the butterfly effect-
but the butterfly effect is pretty straightforward if you watch for second time, no?
Congrats on the 2 million brother! nice to see your channel grow.
*me about to go to bed and get 8 hours of sleep*
foundflix: hello there
I would love for you to take on “Kill List” from 2011 by Ben Wheatey.
The movie is a) a really solid film that deserves more exposure, b) has some freaky and gruesome events, and c) could potentially throw some for a loop. I was when I first watched.
Would definitely appreciate it!
"Stop worshipping the power and become one with the cosmos" O__O
yo I'm Turkish born n raised and even I didn't know this movie existed until today lol, shame on me I guess. Saw the movie right after I heard that it was a Turkish production and must say that it has been one of the freshest experiences of horror I've seen in a while. Most Turkish horror movies take the Conjuring-esque Djinn route, which is understandable since it's the safest option when it comes to making the money back. I hope more brave and experimental stuff like this comes out. Props to FoundFlix for introducing me to my local cinema lmao much love
This movie spooked me pretty good! I'm glad you're covering it because I'm pretty positive I missed important stuff from watching from between my fingers! 😂
Watched this a like 2 years ago and I was like WTF. Glad we got your interpretation of this film. As always, Godspeed.
If you’re reading this I hope you have a nice night
Thanks you too
Thanks Dillon just moved condos I needed this video and my scotch. Gonna be a great night. Enjoy M8
Thanks
Thank you, you too
Strangely wholesome comment. Nice
This reminds me of The Keep! The way you described it definitely sounded like it. You should do an explained video on The Keep. Its a great film
The movie from the 80s?
Congrats in advance on 2 million subs, on behalf of us who are too chicken to watch horror films, but love your videos
You help me understand & appreciate horror movies that make no bloody crazy sense!🌵👻🌵Saludos desde Flagstaff AZ estados unidos
i think there's actually a condition that is very disorienting where a person dreams that they are waking up repeatedly even tough they are still dreaming, also they wake up very confused thinking they might still be asleep
The concept you are looking for in turkish is karabasan, look up for it. i thought the same btw
I do this a lot. I dream that I have woken up and cannot move but I haven’t, over and over again. It’s very unnerving.
Pure nightmare. The logic is just like a terrifying dream.
This is actually crazy bc I have memories like that we’re I can’t tell if there real or a dream, it started bc of a medication i used to take. Now that I changed meds I’ve been paranoid bc I don’t trust myself to know what’s real or a dream.
That’s got to be frustrating :( have you tried writing these memories you’re unsure about down? Maybe seeing them written might help with clarity? Are there some of these instances where others were around who can clarify things with you?
@@LoreleiCatherine no, but that’s a smart idea! I definitely will start doing that! Thank you for the help!! 🥰🥰
@@lunabear1113 of course :) I hope you find something that helps! I’ve only had a couple times where I remember things from dreams as being reality but only for a split second where I questioned my sanity and entire life in general and I can’t imagine feeling like that all the time! Big internet hugs to you and a sprinkling of luck!
@@LoreleiCatherine yah it definitely can get annoying but thankfully I have a wonderful friend that helps me out! Sending my thanks to you for the help!! 🥰

Alright alright I'm sold. I don't watch many of your entries all the way through because you sell them so good the first minute 15 seconds then I go watch myself. I'm already subscribed and always give a like.
"The Father" reminds me of that one wrinkly old man that drinks orange juice
I was trying to see if that was him on that meme lol
i recognised him too

Grats on 2 mil subs! Very well deserved. Thanks for all of the reviews/explanations!

Now do one for "Come True". I am hoping there's something I missed that explains the ending better than "It was all a dream"
It was coma dream, simple as that
HOLY CRAP I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS MOVIE EARLIER TODAY. I kept trying to remember this movie but couldn't remember the title then I saw this video. You're my hero foundflix
I've been hoping he'd explain this crazy ass movie. Cuz i saw it once on netflix and i didn't understand wtf was going on and in the back of my mind I was like "man i hope foundflix explains this movie one day."

Would love to see a video on The Terror, seems like something right up his alley
I literally was just looking up this movie yesterday to see if I should watch it and now here it is. IT’S A SIGN Y’ALL.
Why can’t normal american horror have this good story telling
This channel is the only way I can "watch" the super gory ones! I like horror, but I also like being able to sleep at night! I enjoy watching foundflix as much as I do watching the actual movie
I've never even heard of this one but I'll watch it eventually. Thanks for the recommendation, Mr. Flix!
The concept of dreams and reality blending makes me think of sharkboy and lava girl but foreign and r-rated
I look forward to watching these every weekend.
