After a tragic childhood and a strange mental condition, Arnold Wesker eventually came into contact with a supposedly haunted ventriloquist doll in prison. Together, they became one of Gotham city’s most bizarre villains of all time. Is Wesker truly insane or is this doll cursed?

∙ The Tallyman was once responsible for killing Wesker, and nearly destroying his puppet.

I always had a soft spot for Arnold. He always felt more like a victim than a villain. A slave to his own unstable mind

I liked how his condition makes it hard for him to be controlled. When Psycho Pirate tried to manipulate him, Scarface popped out as his right hand and knocked the Pirate out.

i always felt bad for the ventriloquist he seemed like a scared man, yet scarface did freak me out. i am glad in the animated series of batman the ventriloquist was able to break free of scarface and live a normal life.
Arnold wessler is a very tragic character his parents died when he was young he has like heartbreak as adult which killed someone and was sent to Arkham Asylum thought about committing suicide and instead became a slave to a puppet forced to do horrible crimes

When I first learned about Scarface I was always lead to believe that he was a manifestation of Wesker's split personality
That would make sense.
He kind of his, even though Scarface demands and forces Wesker to do things for him, a lot of the times Wesker itself makes evil stuff without Scarface ordering him to do so.
So Scarface is just an object, he itself not cursed but he easily makes Wesker change his personality from a shy and scadery man to a criminal mastermind.

You know now that I see it, the piece wood from the gallows Donnegan used to create the ventriloquist doll may be a cursed object possessed by one of the evil spirits who were hung from the same gallow that was used as a piece of wood fragment making the puppet the conduit for evil spirits and emotions.
When you're inner demons meet a cursed tree.....

What I find creepy about Arnold is that his glasses lenses are almost never clear. Giving him a almost menacing gaze as we never see his eyes. Like that trope were a character with glasses has them reflecting light when they get serious.

What would happen if Arnold and his puppet were used in children's birthdays instead of crime? Is he that psychotic to become a killer and become the sidekick of his own puppet?
The 2004 batman cartoon did that. Except Arthur was the host of a children's show with a new kid friendly puppets. But Hugo strange stopped his rehabilitation by sneaking scarface back into his life.

I liked the BTAS explanation the best, how he described it, Arnold and Scarface are two separate identities, two personalities, completely separate from one another. Wesker isn't pretending to be scarface, Scarface simply exists as another indivigual in weskers damaged mind.

TL:DR The puppet was constructed with wood from the gallows of Black-gate penitentiary Eventually finding an owner who was eventually killed by a man named Arnold who then went on a crime spree of drugs and money forming a gang. Then meeting with batman and becoming one of his main focuses

Hey ya, another lovely video. When I saw the prison crime show, my mind went to:'M'r. Comic Origns eventually became skilled enough to present videos for crowds and quickly became popular among DC fans as a professor of Comicbook Origins.' But that is just me. :P
Mr. Scarface is a living example of size doesn't matter at all! I just loved the clips you used to elaborate on this origin and how people reacted to him. It was a horrible fate Wesker met in becoming a human puppet. I'm just wondering how 'the quakemaster' caused the earthquake? Lovely music and I just loved the imagery, they matched really well. :)
