I liked how his condition makes it hard for him to be controlled. When Psycho Pirate tried to manipulate him, Scarface popped out as his right hand and knocked the Pirate out.
i always felt bad for the ventriloquist he seemed like a scared man, yet scarface did freak me out. i am glad in the animated series of batman the ventriloquist was able to break free of scarface and live a normal life.
Arnold wessler is a very tragic character his parents died when he was young he has like heartbreak as adult which killed someone and was sent to Arkham Asylum thought about committing suicide and instead became a slave to a puppet forced to do horrible crimes
@@pamelaisleypoisonivy9411 Dude he doesn’t know how to spell so don’t be mean to him it was I think What he wrote was true it is sad in Arkham asylum he was gonna Commit suicide but instead he had to be a slave to a puppet with a gash on his cheek or eye whatever it is that forced him to do crimes
He kind of his, even though Scarface demands and forces Wesker to do things for him, a lot of the times Wesker itself makes evil stuff without Scarface ordering him to do so. So Scarface is just an object, he itself not cursed but he easily makes Wesker change his personality from a shy and scadery man to a criminal mastermind.
You know now that I see it, the piece wood from the gallows Donnegan used to create the ventriloquist doll may be a cursed object possessed by one of the evil spirits who were hung from the same gallow that was used as a piece of wood fragment making the puppet the conduit for evil spirits and emotions.
I liked the BTAS explanation the best, how he described it, Arnold and Scarface are two separate identities, two personalities, completely separate from one another. Wesker isn't pretending to be scarface, Scarface simply exists as another indivigual in weskers damaged mind.
Also like how Arnold is so passive aggressive ("it was an accident .... ") that in the absence of a puppet, he might use everyone and anyone around him as one.
What I find creepy about Arnold is that his glasses lenses are almost never clear. Giving him a almost menacing gaze as we never see his eyes. Like that trope were a character with glasses has them reflecting light when they get serious.
What would happen if Arnold and his puppet were used in children's birthdays instead of crime? Is he that psychotic to become a killer and become the sidekick of his own puppet?
The 2004 batman cartoon did that. Except Arthur was the host of a children's show with a new kid friendly puppets. But Hugo strange stopped his rehabilitation by sneaking scarface back into his life.
@@pebblebrookbooks4852 the batman from 2004. I don't think Hugo strange or the ventriloquist appeared in brave and the bold. At least in anything more than a cameo.
TL:DR The puppet was constructed with wood from the gallows of Black-gate penitentiary Eventually finding an owner who was eventually killed by a man named Arnold who then went on a crime spree of drugs and money forming a gang. Then meeting with batman and becoming one of his main focuses
Your delivery of the DC comic stories are epic. Love the words at the bottom of the screen. The music. The illustrations, motion pictures. Reference to which comic. The year. Love the question at the beginning. Such skill you have. Thank you for taking the time to create these. ❤ Feel silly for saying or asking, for the questions if possible could you display it a little longer. I feel so slow reading it. Thank you for sharing your gift with us and the DC Universe! Legend mate!
You know there’s just one thing I don’t seem to figure out. How is the puppet really talking to Arnold? It’s creepy not being able to understand how the puppet is really talking.
Hey ya, another lovely video. When I saw the prison crime show, my mind went to:'M'r. Comic Origns eventually became skilled enough to present videos for crowds and quickly became popular among DC fans as a professor of Comicbook Origins.' But that is just me. :P Mr. Scarface is a living example of size doesn't matter at all! I just loved the clips you used to elaborate on this origin and how people reacted to him. It was a horrible fate Wesker met in becoming a human puppet. I'm just wondering how 'the quakemaster' caused the earthquake? Lovely music and I just loved the imagery, they matched really well. :)
Hey just wanna to say I love your channel. And I'm looking forward to when you start doing Marvel Comics. I like the shirts you have to. I'll pick one up in a week or 2. Great luck with the channel!
Zantanna seems to suffer from Automatonophobia, the fear of dolls and other inanimate humanoid figures. this is due to the uncanny valley of dolls they look human but at the same time they don't.
Nice video about Arnold Wesker and Scarface o o. Love this video. U just tell the character biography of this villian in a very vivid way based on that Showcase 94 comic how the dummy is created and how Arnold Wesker land himself behind bars and get to the dummy lol and I am hooked to the video 🤣🤣🤣. Thumb Up for u.
Do you think we will see the Ventriloquist/Scarface making his live action debut in the DCEU and the Arrow verse? Which actor do you think should play him?
i remember first seein him in batman the animated series trial episode where arnold wesker was slapped by posion ivy after ventriloquist was talkin shit n then laugh about it
I find it kinda anticlimactic that Arnold, the prisoner who didn't own Scarface, escapee with him, leaving his old owner dead, instead of the owner leaving with the puppet and show more of his insanity.
Sweet I can’t wait man, the ventriloquist is a rogue I have know since the arkham games and the comics. Would love to learn more about the guy. I’ll be there tomorrow
This is amazing, btw love the new style. The sorta like chapters where you introduce a part of the characters turning points. Love it I’ll be on the look out for the keys mentioned in the video keep it up!!

I think I know why that puppy was haunted from the old gallows from Gotham's black gate and when that lightning hit that wood all them spirits was in that wood and he used that wood to make Scarface that's why he's so hunted the spirits inside of him
Anold Wesker"ok we escape the prison....now where do we go"scarface"let head to gothem kid" alnold Wesker"what...you want us to head to gothem..would it not be better to go to another country where we out of the eye of the laws of this city" scarface"no we are going to gothem" alnold Wesker".........and people call me the crazy one....sigh...fine"
I always had a soft spot for Arnold. He always felt more like a victim than a villain. A slave to his own unstable mind
same here. it goes to show how someone can be so messed up in the mind
instablaster...
I think he’s always been a victim
Yeah he’s always been
Also Scarface didn’t usually kill random people.
The Ventriloquist, I love The Ventriloquist & Scarface! They're favorite underrated Batman villain.
Yeah. Im also haven't heard of them

The Ventriloquist is one of the creepiest Batman foes, in my opinion.
Victor Zsasz, Professor Pyg?
Professor pyg & mad hatter are a lot more disturbing because of their pure Homicidal intent
