Just to let y'all know, crows do not do any of the things in this origin story. They're not attracted to blood, they do not live in chapels and do not attack living things they do not and cannot eat (child is too big). I think its a cool story and realize its a comic and not a national geographic.
There's another version of Scarecrow in Batman Unlimited where he shown to have green skin, long yellow hair, and muscular instead of being skinny like his previous incarnations! Someone's been working out in Arkham Asylum!!!
So Scarecrow wants to make everyone feel the fear and trauma he went through in his childhood. Sound like he basically blames everyone for his suffering and not coming to his rescue when he needed it. Scarecrow is one messed up psycho. If you are taking requests, I'd like to hear the origins of Blue Beatle, Deathstroke, Black Manta, Red Hood, Black Lightning, Beast Boy, Starfire, Swamp Thing, Doomsday, Lex Luthor, Spoiler, The Creeper, Katana, Mr. Miracle, and Steel.
It’s often depicted as being a little more complicated than that. He started studying fear in an attempt to cure himself. From there, he often looks at his experiments as a kind of extreme exposure therapy. Some versions of Scarecrow honestly believe the toxin helps people face their fears so they can become stronger. Hence why he will sometimes say things like “let me help you” when he’s attacking someone.
And since then we have seen scarecrow get a taste of his own medicine from so many other heroes not just Batman Knightwing hell we’ve even seen Raven give him a taste of his own medicine
I like the Scarecrow Origins. When my sister told me about his other origins, his dad experimented on his son, I was curious yet excited. I was about to be disappointed because I thought it was the same origins as his amusement with his grandmother and people. Not that I mind because I always like how such twisted scenes had created a scarecrow. But! when it announced his origin bonus. I became excited by this bonus which I think was a great idea and I love it!
Thanks so much Comic Origins! You told us you would have an origin coming at the end of the month. Thanks for the Origin story and being a man of your word.
Patients suffering delusional episodes often focus their paranoia on an external tormentor. Usually one conforming to Jungian archetypes. In this case, a scarecrow. Jonathan Crane Batman Begins (2005)

Freeze, Deathstroke, Batgirl, Nightwing, Red Hood, swamp thing, watchman, Naomi, Jim Gordon, Duke Thompson, Shazam, Black lightning,
Great work man Scarecrow is one of my favorite Batman Villains now do Swamp Thing, The Question, Deathstroke, Bane, Mr Freeze, Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), Green Arrow, Nightwing, Shazam and Black Adam Origins
Thank you guys!! You made the origins I've been waiting for a long time. I'm the happiest guy on Earth. I hope to see more origins of many Batman villains like Mr. Freeze, Bane, Ra's Al Ghul, Firefly, Clayface or The Joker. And many other characters like Black Adam, Blue Beetle, Atom Smasher, Red Hood, Hawkman and Flash (Barry Allen).
Excellent vid CO. I never knew about the messed up grandmother origin. Thanks for the new knowledge, and can't wait for the next origin you bring us. Great job to you and the guest presenter!
Thank you telling Scarecrow's origin story!!!! Please talk about Mazikeen, Lord Andrew Bennett, Black Lightning, Batman Beyond, Rocket, Hardware and Icon Static
Which origin of Jonathan Crane is the most gruesome between being tortured by his grandmother or his father which later he would later use their experiments to become the Scarecrow? Is his origin story similar to the Penguin along with being Psychotic like the Dollmaker? What would happen if he was a Green Lantern villain since he was a member of the Yellow Lantern Corps in the comics, Would it be awesome if we saw this taking place in the DCEU?
In the second origin that example the similarity Gotham tv series when the Crane's father experiment with his son fear gas, but excepted experiment and killing people with fear. Very tragic story.
"Fight it all you want, Batman, but even *you* must succumb to the fear... What hidden terrors keep the Batman awake at night?"- Jonathan "The Scarecrow" Crane (B:TAS)
Don’t know why, but I always like that character, whenever used in animated series and movies. The comics have him written a bit darker, depending on the writer, but still some fun stories.
Apart from the comics, which movie or TV show do you think did a great job in portraying the Scarecrow? Do you think the live action version of him from Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy could have been done better?
I personally think Cillian Murphy did a amazing job as The Scarecrow. The only thing I will say is that I would've liked to see more of his Scarecrow in the trilogy and would've preferred his fear toxin visuals to be a lot more horrific and visually creative, something like Mysterio's illusions in Spiderman Far From Home (2019) mixed with Freddy Kruger and The Arkham Games Scarecrow, at least that is my opinion. I do think one of my favourite Scarecrow performances was from the Gotham TV show, played by Charlie Tahan who really gave a more psychologically tormented Scarecrow based on this videos second origin for Scarecrow. I also think The design for that Scarecrow might be my favourite Scarecrow design especially Season 4 & 5.
Can you please do the comic book origin of DC Despero since he's one of the most powerful Justice League villains from the comics and he played a major role in the CW Flash Armageddon 5 episodes event?
Are you doing comic book origin of DC Orca in your next video? It's great to see you doing origin of forgotten Batman Villians. Is she similar to Killer Croc and King_Shark?
Ok. At the end of the video, you give as a recommendation the comic book "Absolute Terror". That comic portrays Scarecrow as a loser villain, which is stupid considering he is one of the top 5 villains of Batman (alongside Joker, Penguin, Riddler and Two-Face). To learn more about that comic, check out the following video: th-cam.com/video/A9cwNnmVHtU/w-d-xo.html
