After Jonthan Crane's traumatizing childhood he would become one of Gotham City's most brilliant minds as a professor of psychology. Crane soon developed an unhealthy obsession with the power of phobias and created a powerful fear toxin that eventually led him down the path to becoming known as the "Master of Fear".

Interesting facts about Scarecrow:
∙ Jonathan Crane is actually one of the most brilliant minds in Gotham City with his highly regarded philosophy on psychology. This is of course before he became the villain we know him as now.
∙ In his very first appearance, the only weapon Scarecrow used was a gun and his own intimidation tactics, he wouldn't create his fear toxin until many years later.
∙ Crane suffers from a unique phobia known as corvidophobia (fear of crows) from his tragic childhood.
∙ Scarecrow was once offered a yellow lantern ring, but Hal Jordon and John Stewart intercepted the ring before it got to him. He would later get another chance to become a member of the Corp.

Just to let y'all know, crows do not do any of the things in this origin story. They're not attracted to blood, they do not live in chapels and do not attack living things they do not and cannot eat (child is too big). I think its a cool story and realize its a comic and not a national geographic.
There's another version of Scarecrow in Batman Unlimited where he shown to have green skin, long yellow hair, and muscular instead of being skinny like his previous incarnations! Someone's been working out in Arkham Asylum!!!

So Scarecrow wants to make everyone feel the fear and trauma he went through in his childhood. Sound like he basically blames everyone for his suffering and not coming to his rescue when he needed it. Scarecrow is one messed up psycho.
If you are taking requests, I'd like to hear the origins of Blue Beatle, Deathstroke, Black Manta, Red Hood, Black Lightning, Beast Boy, Starfire, Swamp Thing, Doomsday, Lex Luthor, Spoiler, The Creeper, Katana, Mr. Miracle, and Steel.
It’s often depicted as being a little more complicated than that. He started studying fear in an attempt to cure himself. From there, he often looks at his experiments as a kind of extreme exposure therapy. Some versions of Scarecrow honestly believe the toxin helps people face their fears so they can become stronger. Hence why he will sometimes say things like “let me help you” when he’s attacking someone.

And since then we have seen scarecrow get a taste of his own medicine from so many other heroes not just Batman Knightwing hell we’ve even seen Raven give him a taste of his own medicine
I like the Scarecrow Origins. When my sister told me about his other origins, his dad experimented on his son, I was curious yet excited. I was about to be disappointed because I thought it was the same origins as his amusement with his grandmother and people. Not that I mind because I always like how such twisted scenes had created a scarecrow. But! when it announced his origin bonus. I became excited by this bonus which I think was a great idea and I love it!
His origins is a perfect cocktail of a supervillain and horror story.

In the second origin that example the similarity Gotham tv series when the Crane's father experiment with his son fear gas, but excepted experiment and killing people with fear. Very tragic story.

I agree. A lot Green Lantern villains actually have very interesting origins, especially Atrocitus, Sinestro and Saint Walker.

So that’s how Scarecrow did it, he is afraid of being alone in the dark in the abandoned chapel and he use fear on anyone else like he was.
Apart from the comics, which movie or TV show do you think did a great job in portraying the Scarecrow? Do you think the live action version of him from Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy could have been done better?
I personally think Cillian Murphy did a amazing job as The Scarecrow. The only thing I will say is that I would've liked to see more of his Scarecrow in the trilogy and would've preferred his fear toxin visuals to be a lot more horrific and visually creative, something like Mysterio's illusions in Spiderman Far From Home (2019) mixed with Freddy Kruger and The Arkham Games Scarecrow, at least that is my opinion.
I do think one of my favourite Scarecrow performances was from the Gotham TV show, played by Charlie Tahan who really gave a more psychologically tormented Scarecrow based on this videos second origin for Scarecrow. I also think The design for that Scarecrow might be my favourite Scarecrow design especially Season 4 & 5.
