This is why Batmans rogues gallery is unique, they're relatable and any real person can have the same reason as they have on why they do the things they did. They aren't vengeful gods, stereotype mad scientist, they're people who were fucked up by life, and life fucks up a lot of people.

The Penguin in his original comic version has so much potential as a future villain in a film. I'd love to see the iceberg lounge brought to life too.
They already had the penguin with tim Burton batman returns same back story etc .well at least with his father not wanting him etc. Danny devito played him ,I wish they revamp him and make him a main villain though with the tragic back story etc

wow i never knew penguin had such a rough life. his mother was the only one to love him, why couldn't we see that in the batman returns movie. it would have made it a bit better. he truly is a force to be reckoned with
Man, I am so glad his mother loved him that much- just how much more dangerous would have he been then? I really enjoyed watching this video, it painted a icy clear image of why he is the way he is- besides just choosing to be evil. He was always a unique character and I see why he's lasted in the Batman franchises despite his appearance. I notice not many comic creators highlight just how smart the Penguin is- I mean, didn't that strike anyone as unusually gifted that he created working mechanical from a young age? I'll be a-waiting for the next video. :)

So much tormentation he got from society since childhood just because of his appearance. I see no problem in the fact that he became a terrifying mob boss later on. People got what they deserved. As simple as that.

Tbh, you kinda have to feel bad for Oswald, because the main reason he became a villain was because he was basically disowned by his father from birth and bullied by classmates due to being born with ... an unusual appearance. Kids & the world can be cruel.

If you ever do a orgin of Darkseid. Start from the beginning. I mean with Uxas being his real name beginning. His brother Drax who was favored by all. He inherited his father’s abilities. While Uxas inherited his mothers looks and ability. Infinity man was their mentor from a distant planet. Uxas was looked at as weak by others. The Old Gods ruled then. Uxas & Drax both were trained by Infinity man before he died. Drax was protective of Uxas. Kronos was his father’s right hand. Kronos was gifted from Uxas father Khan, King of New Genesis at the time, with a sector & planets (where his future children Zeus etc raised against him). Arzaz, S’ivaa, and other Old Gods were also at Khan’s side from the old days when they took over Genesis and Apokolips from the Gods before them. After the creation of the Father box by Himon, Uxas saw the power to transmute himself into a stronger being. He was only super strong with great durability before. He fought with an Ax. Using the Father box the ax gained the ability to create an army of parademons from victims (In the future he gives it to his uncle Stephenwolf). Their father despised the Father boxes & felt his children would rise up against him. Hearing about Kronos, he knew it was a matter of time before they came for the thrown. He ordered the boxes be destroyed along side his children. Uxas & Drax built an army to fight their father & mother. Infinity man also joined them. Uxas had a wife and son. Tho he was able to save his baby boy “Kalibak.” His mother murdered his wife, fleeing to Apokolips in the mist of the war. This was painful especially bc he was committing infidelity with one of his warriors “Tigra.” Tigra was pregnant with his second which he refused to claim. Uxas became filled with anger, revenge, grief, & despair. The war was epic tho tragic. The plan ultimately was to trap the strongest of the warriors in the source wall. Primarily S’ivaa & their father Khan (the big dogs). After being successful trapping S’ivaa. Uxas & Drax struggled to defeat Khan. Uxas using a father box transformed himself into the stone hulk we know now as Darkseid. He and Drax were able to defeat & trap Khan. Darkseid felt it was time to take down their mother. Drax was against her death. Being now stronger than Drax who mainly could manipulate weather, fly, & was super fast could not evade the Omega beams. Darkseid murdered his brother to claim Genesis & Apokolips. Infinity man at the last minute used the Father box to transfer all the abilities of his infinity man persona & the Forever people of Genesis into him. Drax then became High father. By the time High Father came to. Their mother was already gone (murdered by Darkseid). High Father battled and won against Darkseid. Drax still loving his brother did not want to kill him. Instead he granted a deal. Apokolips being Darkseid’s and now New Genesis being Highfather’s. To insure no war they swapped children. “Orion” Uxas 2nd son whom he refused to claim due to his betrayal to his late wife, for Mr. Miracle ( Scott Free) Highfather’s 1st son. Darkseid imprisoned Orion’s mother for centuries so Orion would never learn the truth. Darkseid’s plot is to use the remaining Father boxes to create a universal Apokolips army, find the anti life equation to release the old Gods, and use the Mother Boxes to control the Old Gods and take the universe from his brother. He took his mother’s Apokolips Army making his uncle bow to him. It is still his motive to take the universe & take down his brother Highfather... Js...

FJOfficial Stephenwolf is Darkseid’s uncle. His mother’s brother. He was in charge of his mother’s Army. That’s who Darkseid gave his Ax to After he took over Apokolips. He forced them to submit. When Darkseid killed his mother, and having his father & brother out the way, He thought he solidified himself as the sole ruler of New Genesis & Apokolips. The most powerful in the universe. Until Highfather “Drax” came. For a sec Darkseid thought he had it all.

I like how you can research the characters you mentioned & it adds up. Part 2 of that is the story of the children. Orion finds out his origin & goes to Apokolips to rescue his mother. Which is forbidden. Also Mr. Miracle escapes to earth from Apokolips with Big Barda. They go to earth. Kronos plays a big part in how he knew about earth. It’s like star wars meets Greek mythology. That causes Darkseid to come to earth tho.

In the Netflix tv show, he’s so endearing!! Actually my favorite character. He doesn’t really want to be very bad, & Gordon ought to learn to play the game & be a bit nicer, like his partner who flirted with Fish. But instead Gordon looks down on Penguin & is mean when it’s not necessary to be like that. Poor penguin 🐧

It isn’t completely clear but it is though he used his inheritance to get started and then made the rest of his fortune from his crimes

This guy tells the Rogues of Batman story like no other. I kept coming back to videos which I've already watch before. It got me to wonder if I was in Oswald shoes, would I turn to a life of crime and take revenge on the very same world that despise you, and I even feel sorry for him for the first time, and it's all because of the way the narrator tells the story. Eerie, yet so tragic, and that's what Gotham is all about.

It's not the powers or abilities that make you who you are.
It never is.
It's the people and environment that surround the person that determines who they are.
For batman, he was lucky.
He had friends and the only family at the time, Alfred. He nurtures and takes care of him. And as a parent, scolded and watched him from making mistakes.
For Oswald, He had the worst father and brothers, and a school filled with the worst children. The only person to ever love him without question was his mother, who was the only pillar that let him keep just a little bit of his humanity.
BTW I absolutely LOVE your edit skills. It's so well made and absolutely amazing. It's like a national geographic for comic characters. Most would just look into recent or incorrect info they find in the first search result.
But you take your time and put a careful plan and setting to understand the characters bio of their life.

I can relate, it happen to me, even I have a rough, tragic childhood and past, I went through mental health, I suffer from anxiety and depression, I have Autism and never told anybody that I have it and I don't understand some things and say things I'm not supposed to say, I had trouble controlling my emotions, I was really aggressive, got bullied and teased a lot, girls were mean to me when I was a little kid that cause me to hate myself, people, love and being afraid to give love a chance and I been single for a long time with no love experience cause I have reasons, I had trouble listening and don't listen sometimes, being ignored, mistreated, disrespected, have trust issues, became a jerk to everybody, did horrible things, have a messed up reputation, doesn't get along with society and act like nobody cares about me.
Middle School - I got bullied and teased a lot that caused me to be a bully and jerk to everybody, I once said I will shoot everyone in middle school, it did not go well, I almost got suspended, but did not, it's that moment that I realized I have autism.
High School - I also got bullied and teased a lot that caused me to be a bully and jerk to everybody, I got hospitalized for the first time and then twice in my final year in high school after I snapped and bite a student's arm and got arrested by the police in May 2018, then I said I want to commit suicide and got taken to the ambulance, away from my high school, that's the last they seen of me.
I'm so relatable and sympathetic when I act out because I have Autism, was depressed or sad because everyone seems to be doing better than me and nobody seems to care. I know what it's like to have pain, I wish I had my chance with that really smoking hot, Latina girl with black hair back in my final year in high school, but I didn't cause I did something horrible in the end and she doesn't even think about me or know I have Autism, that I don't understand love, or even experience it cause I been single for a long time with no love experience. I knew relationships don't work out since I was 9 years old because I watch a bunch of Novelas based on them and I have other reasons to remain single for a long time. Nowadays I don't care anymore and gave up on love, everything, and everybody, I will worry about myself and trust nobody, have nobody, and be forever isolated and alone in the dark.
