That entire trope belongs to what Cheetah was doing in her '87 iteration, but instead of being a hero she was called out for her blatant exploitation of other cultures and WW went on to stop her. In a way, Cheetah anticipates Tomb Raider.
The reaaon why I like Cheetah so much is her animalistic instinct. She is very similar to Wolverine going berserk. She is savage and aggresive and those claws are epic which are magic powered. Her fight outro in Injustice 2 shows how beast she is. No one else does berserker like her only Wolverine comes close.

I’m not a professional writer, but to me it makes way more sense to associate Cheetah with Sekhmet, the ancient Egyptian goddess of magic, war and vengeance. The statues of Sekhmet show a woman with the head of a lion!!! She was pretty scary. In one Egyptian story, Sekhmet or Sachmet became so enraged with mankind’s evil that she almost destroyed the entire human race. Sachem is an Egyptian word meaning POWER or POWERFUL. Sekhmet means THE POWERFUL ONE or THE POWERFUL LADY. And goddess of wild cats, especially the lion. The perfect source of Cheetah’s power and personality in the story of Wonder Woman!!!

Meh. Barbara Anne Minerva has three origins if I remember correctly. This is the newest one. I still prefer the first one. It was the same, she became a bride of the Plant God... but willingly. Like it was her plan to be Urzkartaga's bride. I like that origin better because it shows that WW's real enemy is not the Cheetah, but Barbara, and that makes her a bigger threat. She's not just muscle, nit just a feral beast. Even without the cheetah powers, her intelligence, schemes and experience in magical artifacts and myths are the real weapons agsinst Diana. That puts her in the same level with Luthor and Joker instead of just another physical fighter.

WB has since removed that synopsis lol.

As a diehard cheetah fan I'd recommend googling her origins and I say origins cuz thier were three different women and a man who took the role as cheetah. And on Ebay you can find the comic mentioned for cheap. However I am attempting to collect all books on all three cheetahs. Hopefully that helps.

I remember watching the challenge of the super friends back in 1978 because they had a woman going by the name cheetah who worked with the Legion of doom when she was in an episode called origins of the super friends because I remembered when she wanted to compete in the games along side of Diana and take the title of wonder woman, I remember seeing cheetah remove the costume revealing all of his beautiful blonde hair and she had a face to but back then I did not know what her name was until I played injustice part two for PlayStation 4 because I remembered wonder woman called out her real name which was then Barbara Ann Minerva and so this is how I knew who the cheetahs identity really was.
