    Thanks brother. I literally was going to rip it out and put in house type fridge this weekend. Watch another video and learned about the additional reset switch. Did that this morning and still nothing. Now I'm headed to check this other mystery fuse. Smh...I'm so beyond the manual. This should be in the manual because everybody can't afford to run it to dealership for issues. Thank you and headed for the fuse.

    Thank you so much for posting this! I’ve been delaying this repair as I didn’t want the down time without my trailer and this video helped me find the issue. Ordered the fuses on Amazon and they’ll be here tomorrow. I’ve probably spent at least 100 bucks on propane this year running my fridge all summer, fuses were 15 bucks. I should’ve checked TH-cam sooner!

    Thank you for the tip decided to go tiny house. And body older RV yeah it’s definitely a project just like buying a house going to move random and then work my day today job plus a night job office at Costco and hopefully get things back. Send decent shape, but the fridge is acting up. Along with the generator and the AC unit on the roof, probably something goofy I will work on. I also learned you can refill the little 1 pound grill cylinders or propane cylinders, TH-cam video with the Mr. Heater attachment. Enjoy your camping.🇺🇸

    I haven't tested any of the fixes yet since it's 112°F outside and I have a large Bodega portable refrigerator we normally use for drinks. But I still learned a lot from watching since I'm pretty sure one of these solutions will be the answer.
    Thanks in advance!

    Great find, and tip. Hasn't happened to me, but good to know. If the RV store doesn't have them (also known as "slow blow" fuses) I can get them from the local electronics store (kind of like what Tandy & Radio Shack used to be, where you can buy compo ents to build your own gadgets, not like the modern "electronics" store where you can only buy devices, not components)

    Any idea why a blown fuse on the controller board causes low resistance (a shirt to ground) and a blown 12volt supply fuse?

  • @jimmyhunt9081
    @jimmyhunt9081 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Ahh, I thought I picked up the right 5a fuse. Got the regular 5a fuse from auto parts store. Sceen this video now I'm gonna try and hunt down that time delay fuse cuz the regular one isn't working. Still see the correct voltage on both sides of it though.
    Hope it gets it cuz I was abouta start ordering boards and then possibly a fridge.

    Is this fuse also called the thermal fuse ?? Is it one and the same ? We just had ours at dealer and they said the thermal fuse was blown due to having fridge running while traveling down the road ??? Not sure of point of having home away from home if I can’t run fridge while traveling to keep our foods cold.

  • @rgruenhaus
    @rgruenhaus หลายเดือนก่อน

    So you say the inside fuse was blowing because that control board delayed blow fuse was doing what? Was that 160v gone? If the delay blow fuse was not doing it's job by delaying it from blowing and it blowed quicker then why would the other fuse be blowing inside?

    • @peterlecuyer6204

      The thin wire inside the glass is the fusible link. If it is broken, then the fuse is blown. The glass is just the case surrounding the wire.

      Simple answer is to unscrew the housing and look at the fuse. If it looks good, check it with a voltage meter. Cheap ones can be purchased at Walmart. (Be sure to look at TH-cam videos for the safe use of a voltage meter.)
