- Chatuchak Plant Market located in Bangkok, Thailand is one of the biggest (if not THE biggest) wholesale plant market in Thailand. It occurs every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday and plant lovers from across the country flock here to look for bargains and rare items.

A great video! I love visiting this plant market every time I go to Thailand. They have a great variety of cacti and succulents. Last time I even saw an aztekium ritteri for Thb 8,000.

Oh this is excellent! Definitely a plant lovers paradise!! Look at the selection. There's nothing like this in the UK! I struggle to find rarer plants, anything a bit different over here, even in garden centres! Oh how I would love to go on a shopping spree around that market! Unfortunately though, I wouldn't be able to bring any of them back to the UK. Unless a certificate could be provided..

Incredible. Those astrophytum cacti are very expensive in the west. My eyes almost popped out at the 13:50 mark.

OMG. I wish I knew about this place when I visited Thailand. Do you ever plan on creating a online shop? I wonder how much and what hassle there is to ship to the US. Sending plants to the US requires a phytosanitary certificate. Even then it is a risk whether they survive the trip. What sorts of bulbs are you interested in?

I just realized TSA would toss these straight into the garbage because it’s illegal to bring plants into the United States (with the exception of Canada and northern Mexico) to prevent 1. Invasive bugs from getting in and 2. To keep plant diseases away from the farms 😂

Good luck with that. By the time you pay for USDA inspections and shopping you might as well buy the plants in the US
Yes it is all-year round. Some vendors might offer wholesale with import permits. Will ask around next time when I’m there.

How to get certificates if you want to bring plant home back to your country??
Avs Gunnoo Some shops will apply one for you. You have to ask them. If they can, you will need to tell them what the required tests or rules your country has.
Depends on which country you want to bring plant in, but for bring out from Thailand you no need certificates except Cites Plant(i did't see in this video)or big amounts for commercial that you need it
