If the water is too high and covers too much of the green stalk, then there's a chance the stalk could rot. If the water in the container is sitting for weeks, this could also hurt the plant.
Change the water if the leaves are turning yellow. It is best to change the lucky bamboos water
once a week at least 2 weeks maximum to prevent the prevalence of fungal pathogens, bacteria and algae in the water which can contribute or cause the leaves and stalks to turn yellow. Lucky bamboo leaves and the stalk are sensitive to direct sunlight, so it is important to find a bright area that does not have full sun. If the leaves and stalk are slightly scorched yellow, the bamboo should survive once it is moved to more preferable light conditions.
It is highly recommended that you only fertilize the plant just once or twice in a year. The most common reason your stalks are turning yellow could be quality of your water.

You can grow them in Aquarium. A lot of people tried and succeeded.

I don't kniw what to do anymore. My lucky bamboo was getting too dry in soil. I moved it in water and now the top of the stalk is yellow. What should i do

You have to trim the yellow part, check for rotting. if it feels mushy or not. moving in water is not goona help, keep in fresh potting soil separately. can't say whats happening exactly. it usually happens with lucky bamboo plants. make sure its's not spreading any disease into other healthy stalks.

@@GreenBackyard thank you for your quick reply! I thought about cutting it but it s half of the stalk that is yellow.. Also it s pretty old and I don't know if it will grow again or recover
