This is so helpful! My sisters plant has tons of brown leafs and it looks so sick. I think it is because of under watering. My sister constantly neglects the poor thing and I often take care of him. I did notice when touching the drainage hole that it was really dry in the bottom but wet in the top. I think I’ll be more careful about watering to insure it gets enough water.
How's she doing now? You can try to aerate the soil. I learned that "by accident" when I first became a plant mom.
Generally, Life _loves_ oxygen❣
Each plant is an individual, and each owner/parent should learn it and foster it as such. Everyone is not meant to do so, and those who aren't should gift it to someone who is, can, and will.
This is true for _ALL Life,_ including pets and people. If you are able and willing, perhaps you can offer to foster or rehome your sister's.
Ecclesiastes 9:10 add lots of containers on book shelf full of water, you have, dry, dry air, use, Kiddie Litter Boxes, full of water in dry, dry, home air, a Poultry egg incubator room ? Add lots of open, water containers, at least 6 containers of water, dry dry air.
I love them but they don’t like to grow in my home Canada Edmonton I think too cold too dark 😢
Any advice on soil? I used a cactus soil for both my variegated snake plant and my aloe vera (both in terracotta pots), and BOTH surprisingly are showing signs of underwatering. I feel that the soil is too sandy in mine. I don't believe I would be able to pull it out to inspect the roots without the soil mix falling apart. It shouldn't be root bound. I repotted about 7 months ago with the same potting mix brand and bag as before (zone 7b cold winters). It was fine until spring started. Now all the leaves are soft and some of my tall new leaves are wrinkled. Same with my aloe, they are thin and curled in. I just watered both on April 11th and both are BONE dry like they've never heard of water.
My brand new moonshine edition is going crazy . Such a happy plant mommy my other snake sprouted a giant shoot with several new leafs inside :) ...... Back to home Depot I go
You’re obviously doing a great job. Keep it up 👏👏👏👏
Do I remove the browning leaves by cutting it? what should I do?

Ironically, they can also _scorch_ in direct light. Especially the babies.
🐍🪴 are equally touchy- constant balancing act- and _hands off._ It's a process, like with any life, but once you understand each baby's formula, you can essentially leave it alone.
Fun fact: Some actually _love_ to grow IN water, and they flourish!!!
Good vid❣
