The Final Vegetable Harvest For 2021!

- In today's video my dad and I are doing a ton of harvesting. Some of that includes... - Tomatoes - Cabbage - Turnips - Broccoli - Collard Greens - Red Beets. This will basically be the final harvest of the season. BUT THAT DOES NOT MEAN THE END OF THE VIDEOS!!! We still have a ton to do here on the farm and I plan on bringing you guys and girls along with me year round to show you exactly what we do and how we do it.

Because of your videos I have a whole new appreciation for farmers who grow things for farmers' markets, I will never say something is a little expensive again, I will definitely set anyone straight who says the same. There is nothing more beautiful than fresh fruits and vegetables.

I know this video is 10 months old , and I'm just now watching it BUT...... To me it's a prime example of waste not, want not. Like with the cabbage, looked a little rough until you pulled a few leafs off and then wow, it's perfect again. I see so much good food go to waste because it doesn't have the eye appeal........... The store I work at does "red bag" some fruits and vegetables.
That's basically as long as it's good they put it in a red mesh bag, tie it off and sell the bag for .99 cents. Trust me I take advantage of those bags whenever possible. Many a good meals, canned veggies, jams.......... all from red bag specials.
Glad to see you guys doing your best to harvest everything possible, and with the safety of your customers in mind as well.............

It would be nice to see what your table looked like at the market. How much you sold and what was left over. Maybe next year the amount harvested from the high tunnel can be revealed at the end of the season. It is remarkable how much you and your dad harvested so late in the season. I love your videos and wish to have the life style you have.

Logan you and the parents work very hard keeping the farm going and I really hope all the subscribers can appreciate your every effort. I'm just asking for my information, and because there seems to be so much produce that will remain in the fields. Is there a possibility in these last minute pushes for getting all of your amazing work harvested, that much of what that's being left behind could be harvested and donated to food pantries for tax purposes. Maybe l just don't understand how much extra work time and efforts would be required to do something like that or if it would be of any benefits for the Farm. During this time of Thanksgiving I'm personally very happy and thankful for the hard working family farms that remain around the Country and the amount of food that you are able to bring to so many. Thank you! 👏👏👏
We try our absolute hardest to not leave anything even close to good in the fields. Then once it is picked through sometimes we will give the rest to my neighbors pigs. If not, that will just be more food for the deer and it will be good compost for the following year

Not gonna lie, there are some vegetables i did not even know they exist and some i know their names but didn't know what they look like but through this i learned somethings. I think im gonna be a vege PRO in a few more vids.

I will go there. And i will be the one to pick up those tomatoes you left. Coz here in PH we still use the riipest tomatoes, because all veges here are very expensive.

Daisy is so cute chomping on that corn! Great last harvest Logan, there’s still more to be harvested! Here in Asia we don’t waste anything, beet leaves are delicious stir fried with sliced beets, same goes for turnips etc. do the cows eat the left over cabbage leaves etc? Or you leave it all to compost? wishing you all a happy and blessed Thanksgiving 🙏🦃
We leave some to compost but we give a lot to our neighbors pigs

What low temp is the cabbage good to before it rots? The local farm market I go to closed sunday. Got some really nice tomatoes from his high tunnel. I;m looking forward to next years garden!
It’s good down to about 25 degrees. It will just start to burn the outer leaves. All you would need to do is just peel them off
When winter crops are done, what do you guys do with it?
