    Hi Logan! Your early season crops look great. Ain't it always the way. If your Dad had intended to plant that corn, he probably wouldn't have has a good a stand. Great job cultivating. O and those straw berries are some of the best I've seen!

    We paint rocks that we find shaped like strawberries red and place them amongst the plants early on, the birds get trained that the Berrys are rocks and won’t peck them. Works good for us and is a cheap fox.

      That is a great idea! I don’t think it’ll work for me though, the birds around my house would eat rocks after they finish meals of my veggies. 😖

      I think this is a wonderful idea however we will be painting a ton of rocks!! But maybe we will try it in some parts! Thanks you 😃

      The birds eating the whole berry, they must be pretty hungry.

    So glad your air quality is better for you, Logan. Last Wednesday, the worst day to be out, I was in the garden most of the day, and have symptoms of smoke inhalation. It’s a bit better here after the off and on drizzle but, until the fires are out we’re limiting outdoors. Btw, “It is a lot of honest work”❣️😉👋🏻👋🏻👋🏻

    Was watching my weather guy on TH-cam. He says the weather patterns are going to be changing. It sounds like your part of US is going to start getting some rain. We've had a small amount of rain in Southeast Nebraska. I sure understand about not getting rain. Hope you get rain so you have a good Crop harvest. Take Care

    Hello, My wife and me have enjoyed watching your family work on the farm . For manyu years we did Farmers Markets now we sell from our home in the Hudson valley. While it's smaller scale the proscess is the same. Are all your berries June ? What varieties do you grow? In Italian there is a saying " Farmers big shoes and a sharp mind " Not much, no it's alot. Bravi

    • @BroyansFarm
      @BroyansFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      All our berries are june I can’t think of all the varieties right now but I know one of them is AC VALLEY. We just grow multiple varieties that I can’t remember right off the bat, sorry! Thanks for watching!! 😃

    I would gladly give you some of my rainy weather, been raining and drizzly for about 2 weeks. I might get a little sun tomorrow then back to rain again. It's also been in the 40's and 50's.

    Why did all the strawberries plants die?

    • @BroyansFarm
      @BroyansFarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      They did not die the deer have gotten them before they rooted sadly.

    • @BroyansFarm
      @BroyansFarm  ปีที่แล้ว

      In our other field they died, we are thinking when we planted them it was due to the heat. A 95-100 degree day is not the best planting day

    Strawberries do not ripen after picking. Most of the berries you picked were not fully ready.
    If I was buying strawberries after looking at yours I would walk away.

    • @BroyansFarm
      @BroyansFarm  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      False

    • @dugel3
      @dugel3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chad Moore you are totally correct, even though Logan says it's false. Those white tips on the berries will never ripen. I was a produce farmer for over 40 years. And I know several farmers who ran large scale strawberry operations that would have given him a very stern talking to, at the very least, about many of the berries he was picking
