    En el proceso consular la tarifa del departamento de estado y la de uscis se pagan al mismo tiempo. O se paga primero la tarifa del departamento de estado y luego piden la de uscis.

      I am doing PhD and working in medical University as a teacher and researcher. (Assistant Professor). I am self petitioner and filing EB2 NIW COMPLETELY AND INDIVIDUALLY BY MY SELF. IN THIS SCENARIO SHOULD I PAY 300USD ASYLUM FEE OR IT WILL BE EXEMPTED. BECAUSE I DONT HAVE ANY FIRM. I am from Pakistan

      in some ways it could, mostly related to change in national priorities, not on removing the program itself. I have a couple of videos about that topic and will probably touch on that again in the coming weeks

    It seems the asylum fee is $600 for regular applicants/petitioners. The $300 is for small employers.

      No, it's $300 for EB2 NIW and EB1A self petitioners. It's been clarified by USCIS

    Hi Oscar, I am filing EB2 NIW and I had a money order $1440 and $715 and the $300 for the asylum fee but they keep returning my application saying I need to pay the correct fees, please help me what I'm I missing? Initially, I didn't add the $300 asylum fee and they returned it and I added $300 and re sent the application back and they sent it back for incorrect fees? Please, what I'm I missing please. Thank you for your help

      You're probably filling out the form wrong . Also not sure what the $1440 is for. We explain all of this in the course

      So when they return it, they give the reason why and the reason they said was incorrect fees. The $1440 is for the form I-485.

    I took a lawyer and it was the best decision for my situation. He helped me understand the documents and he helped me through the process. At the moment I´m waiting for my Visa Interview (EB2 NIW)

    Hi Oscar, Excellent video. The total cost of the process, regardless of whether it is done via AOS or consular, is a factor to consider when deciding to apply. I do not doubt that many have sufficient academic and professional merits to obtain EB2-NIW approval, but not all have the financial resources required to carry it out.

    Can one who is approved do the consular processing later even if his priority date is current? I mean, if my priority date is current, but i don't have the finances to do it, can it be done later because of the financial cost? Is there any implication if someone doesn't do it immediately?

      even after the PD is current it will take a few months for the appointment to be provided. More or less time depending on location

      You can see if the doctor is open to sign two forms, because you would need a duplicate . It's a matter of their willingness to do that for the same price or not

      No, you can't submit now. Your application will get rejected and you'll need to submit it again

      It's not a must, there's other ways to qualify, watch any of the videos where I go over requirements

      you should first get a receipt number so you can check online. It can take up to a year depending on the case
