I do not doubt that many have sufficient academic and professional merits to obtain EB2-NIW approval, but not all have the financial resources required to carry it out.
I took a lawyer and it was the best decision for my situation. He helped me understand the documents and he helped me through the process. At the moment I´m waiting for my Visa Interview (EB2 NIW)

even after the PD is current it will take a few months for the appointment to be provided. More or less time depending on location
