- Hello, I recently picked up this blade on a recent SOG sale. I take a first look and provide my thoughts on how I might use this. The knife is a blend of filed and soldier knife with a sheath optimized for LBE. Cheers
I have a few cheap SOG fixed blades, and theyre tough as hell; way tougher than they have any right to be especially for the prices i paid.
I have one that i use solely for batonning through knot filled wood, and its been twisted and bent in every way possible but its still kicking!
Although I have a few collector knives, it is getting much harder to justify them when they just go in a drawer. I guess, that is what has attracted me to SOG since they not only have good designs, but also above average quality and features for their class. Thanks for watching.
COOL knife. I have it too and it's great.
I like the knife a lot. Lite, agile, lays flat against body so carries nicely. Still working on a good belt clip but making progress.
I’m liking it so far. Needs some work to make it a good belt knife though
nice!
Thank you! Cheers!
Both these knives are made in Taiwan ?
Hi, the Trident is made in Taiwan and the Tellus is China. The Trident is definitely a step above the Tellus in terms of the blade material, blade geometry, coating and overall fit and finish. Not a huge difference, but falls in line with SOGs other mid range knives that are Taiwanese in origin. Watching the video again, I discuss the differences I'm seeing in manufactering locations.
