If you’re into danglers, fashion a paracord belt loop per PREPAREDMIND101’s “TOPS BOB: G10 vs Micarta/Kydex vs Leather Sheath/Thoughts in General” video. Agree about the clips but they can be bent back to allow the cord to pass.

Factory Box and this review clearly state 440A steel, but SOG site and various vendors erroneously list it as 440C. Thank you for your truth in advertising.

just take the metal attachment off the sheath and use the drop sheath attachment. Works great.

5-star review especially regarding the sheath. Bought one to team with my Gerber StrongArm. Full tang and light as you mentioned. Nothing substandard but returned due to lack of value.

By the way, Sog's website states Cyro 440c. So you were right in the video.

Great review Eric. Appreciate the in depth on the sheath. I have the Seal Pup by SOG and love the knife yet the sheath, while it works, has its bugs too.

I'm so glad I found your video. I also bought this knife and the sheath clip system is pretty disappointing for me as well. I also saw on the other adaptors shown on the card that the sheath came with, however there is no information on where or how one could order those adaptors. There is even one labeled "belt clip". But I have scoured the SOG website and I can't find anyway to purchase or order the item? Any thoughts on how you could order the belt clip?

SOG needs to stop trying to reinvent the wheel with their sheaths. Gives me flashbacks to that horrible " Deluxe sheath" that came with the Seal strike. Just do a taco style(!) molded plastic or kydex sheath that's tec-lock compatible and has enough room around the upper ring to mount a j-hook

Jared I believe this blade is cryo 440c which can be pretty good. Maybe not your preference though, as 440a isn't.

It IS 440 C . When SOG was bought out there were problem and mislabeling on boxes on a few models . It’s 440 cryo 100%
