Look through the list of inventors of many of the important products we use today and you'll find a lot of were Scottish too. Scotland has a lot to be proud of. P.S. That is not including the amazing scenery, history, people and culture. FREEDOM! ha!
Oh wow Robert Carlyle's accent is very tame (for a lack of a better word) in OUAT. I love his Scottish accent though and he looks very good for a 55 years old.
Lewis Taylor I'm not saying it isn't Scottish by calling it British then am I? It is the most important film of the 90's from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Good enough?
Went to Europe in 98 at the age of 21. Saw the World Cup. Paris Dublin Tralee and London. Trainspotting was in my blood. Fell in love with Europe because of Trainspotting. Randomly ran into my brother walking around the street of Paris at night. MAGIC!!!! - Ray Hudson
... You see what a great editor can do for your movie? Seriously, a great cinematographer and a great editor are way more important, for a film, then a director or any actor, in my book.
Years ago I knew Liam’s father, he stayed in a multi story flat in Wyndford Maryhill Glasgow. His father in law was James Bond Q. You would think his son would buy a house somewhere nice in the suburbs for his father. Bobby Carlisle’s daughter attended the Steiner school in Yorkhill near me, in the summer her friends and their families would fly for a holiday to Carlisle’s house in Vancouver Island Canada. It’s likely Carlisle was away most of the times filming somewhere.
As a Spaniard with presumed proficient skills in English language, I must say I hardly understood a bunch of words in this clip. These guys make me believe I still have a long way to go as for English language goes
I had no idea the film had been a stage production prior to becoming a film. Interesting. I used to check out VHS tapes from my local library when I was younger and the baby scene really stuck with me but the Full Monty, I loved that film. I absolutely loved that film.
Why are Americans so bad with accents??....I don't mean that as an insult, I'm genuinely curious. I'm a 28 year old Brit and not once in my life have I struggled to understand somebody speaking English, regardless of where they're from.
Hittingitstiff I'm technically American(even though I came here from the Philippines), and I can understand them almost perfectly. I don't understand how they can't either, although it is amusing.😁
Nah, it's an exposure thing. When a Brit turns on their television or go to the movies, you hear English in tons of different accents, but in the States, the solid majority of English that people hear is in American accents. And depending on where you are from in the States, you are exposed to certain accents. Like if you're from southern Florida, you'd be pretty good with different Latin and Caribbean accents, or if you're from northern California, you'd be better with a few East Asian accents, etc. But they still might not have heard enough Scottish accents to get what they're saying.
Sarah Joyce There's fast American accents as well. And half the guys on this couch are speaking slowly. It's just that Americans have similar accents besides the Boston and Southern accent
I have never been so proud to be half Scottish watching these movies. I was born in Canada, but both my Mother's parents were born in Scotland. They had only lived in Canada for a couple a years before she was born so I consider her 100% Scottish. Yeah technically she is Canadian but not by blood.
We went to the Shish in Park Street for a Curry then the Odeon on Renfield Street to watch it.. a perfect Glaswegian night out.. it sits easily in the top 10 of my favourite movies of all time.. what a movie, what a cast !
OMG. I'm on day 3 of Suboxone. Don't feel so good. It's better than cold turkey. Anyway... It's been a while since a laugh like that! It's sooooo funny! Thanks for the laugh!
Well, McGregor seems to have full hair, just shaved. Either way, I think nobody on this couch has a hair transplant, which I find great. Keeping it real.
So weird to see that Begbie is not insulting, menacing or straight up killing somebody.
I'm thinking the same thing... It's weird!
he was insulting & brutally killing the full monty.....
And to hear spud using big intelligent words
Especially without a mustache
the night was still young
Being Scottish teen, seeing a couch-full of successful people coming from this tiny country is amazing!
and who said nothing good comes from smack

Hedylogos you watched the lockness gand tour episode, didnt you?
Doesn't it make you proud to be Scottish?
Sean Connery and Shrek are national treasures
Alright these accents are just awesome
Seeing they all seat n chat together make me smiling all day.
congratulations to my boy Graham for winning the special recognition award at the ntas on wednesday!
Oh wow Robert Carlyle's accent is very tame (for a lack of a better word) in OUAT. I love his Scottish accent though and he looks very good for a 55 years old.
Yeah, I didn't even realise until I looked him up.
Glaswegian accent. Different from other Scottish accents. Scotland has many accents not just one. Just like England ot any other country
On amazon one review gave _Trainspotting_ a 3/5. Explaining "Good, but no actual trains."
Darth Shredrax That was me.
Darth Shredrax there was a train tho
He's got a point..
@manishsirmour3599 but there was trains. at leastv2 train shots.
*Fortnite nodding emote*
Love it or not, Trainspotting is the most important British film of the 1990's.
John Johnson *scottish
Lewis Taylor Scotland is in Britain mate. Check the Referendum result.
Brexit?
John Johnson it is a country within Britain yes, so Edinburgh isn't Scottish because it's in Britain?
Lewis Taylor I'm not saying it isn't Scottish by calling it British then am I? It is the most important film of the 90's from England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. Good enough?
Robert Carlye is hilarious!!
What did he say in the beginning?
Thanks @firelegend. They deleted your commented but I read it in my notifications. :p
I was about to comment this exact same thing! lol.
Carlyle !!! 😅
So What did he say? Cannot find out
Went to Europe in 98 at the age of 21. Saw the World Cup. Paris Dublin Tralee and London. Trainspotting was in my blood. Fell in love with Europe because of Trainspotting. Randomly ran into my brother walking around the street of Paris at night.
MAGIC!!!! - Ray Hudson
am I the only one who thinks Robert looks a bit like Liam Neeson
true
and richard hammond
Yes
CaptainGrumpy Yes...yes you are
lol I thought it was liam neeson on the thumbnail
The accents on this couch 😬
Ella Zahra What about them
imagine these guys in a room with John Bishop, Kevin Bridges and the O'Donovan brothers
_dear god_
You saw the one with Marion Cotillard?
French girl surrounded by Irish accents.
Dineen Serpa Clearly
Connor McCartney I love the Scottish accent so when there's a whole couch of them it's great 😍
I love all these guys for different reasons.
This is one of the most important pieces of culture in my life. I owe these strangers so very much.
Robert Carlyle is my acting hero, what a guy.
It was certainly worth the 20 year wait. Absolutely loved it!
Ewen Bremner's accent/voice is like butter. Peat-smoked, heather-flavoured butter. Gah. So lovely.
Ewan's role in Our Flag Means Death is just the best!
It's about time Jonny Lee Miller was on the Graham Norton Show!
You mean zero cool
I lovee the whole cast of TRAINSPOTTING 1&2 ..THEY R ALL SO GREAT...BUT TRAINSPOTTING 1 WILL ALWAYS HAVE A SPECIAL PLACE IN MY HEART..
I never realized that Jonny was in Trainspotting! They've all aged really well.
Love how Robert kept his native accept
Rumpelstiltskin what are you doing?
Taking some well-deserved time off.
Rumple sounds so weird..all I'm waiting for is when he breaks the Robert character and laughs 'hahha dearie'
Cocaine.
Nuno Costa
...getting a facelift by the looks of it.
Lmaoo
It is not Graham Norton Show, It's A Graham Norton Connection, and Robert such a refreshment
... You see what a great editor can do for your movie?
Seriously, a great cinematographer and a great editor are way more important, for a film, then a director or any actor, in my book.
Ewen Bremner should be a huge star! Such an unassuming bloke.
God I could listen to Robert Carlyle's accent for hours
I didn't understand anything he said. It's like he's speaking German.
Or any Scottish 😊

Spud's still sitting the same way he did in the interview.. his feet!! 🤣🤣👏🏴
I had to come back to the same point during one part of the video to understand what Bobby was saying! hahaha his accent
RUMPELSTILTSKIN!!!!! I Love Robert Carlye
Im still recovering from the emotional trauma of the last scene of T2. Be warned you will cry.
IT'S RUMPLESTILTSKIN I'M SCREAMING I LOVE HIM
As a Spaniard with presumed proficient skills in English language, I must say I hardly understood a bunch of words in this clip. These guys make me believe I still have a long way to go as for English language goes
Personal favorite movie of all time.
"I thought it was a load a f*cking pish to be honest" 😂🤣😂
Spot on Bobby.
Ewan Bremner's accent is music to my ears ❤.
I had no idea the film had been a stage production prior to becoming a film. Interesting. I used to check out VHS tapes from my local library when I was younger and the baby scene really stuck with me but the Full Monty, I loved that film. I absolutely loved that film.
Did you know it started life as a book lol.
Hittingitstiff I think it's because Americans speak a bit slower than other countries so they aren't used to listening to something faster

It's all about familiarity. I am Canadian. Could you tell the difference between American accents and Canadian accents?
my boss and i snuck out of work early to see full monty. i didn't tell him what it was about. it was awesome! he loved it!
Well dearie...all magic comes with a price!! **doing the Rumplestiltskin hand gestures**
The Full Monty is one of my favorite movies
*turns CC on*
CC: Uhhhh... you're on your own.
spud is legit good guy in real life lol
I have never been so proud to be half Scottish watching these movies. I was born in Canada, but both my Mother's parents were born in Scotland. They had only lived in Canada for a couple a years before she was born so I consider her 100% Scottish. Yeah technically she is Canadian but not by blood.
saw the stage play in Manchester mid 90's - was brilliant.
Forget the age difference, I'd marry Robert Carlyle (Rumpelstiltskin as I know him) in a heartbeat ❤️
the accents here rival the McAvoy, Jackman, and Fassbender couch.
We went to the Shish in Park Street for a Curry then the Odeon on Renfield Street to watch it.. a perfect Glaswegian night out.. it sits easily in the top 10 of my favourite movies of all time.. what a movie, what a cast !
No way, sure The Full Monty isn't the BEST film but for a good few years now it has been my favourite! Haha
The Full Monty is one of the best comdey/drama ever made.
Guillermo Gaite yes, it's my favourite film haha, I mean although not the best typically, imo it's wicked! :)
The Full Monty was a cute movie. Trainspotting's better. But Bobby doesn't really like TFM, as you can see. ;)
Damn I love the Scottish accent.
I love Bobby😂
One of the best movies ever♥️
I'm sad Robert doesn't seem to dig the Full Monty, it's a class film
Trainspotting inspired and influenced loads of films that came after, such as Human Traffic and Twin Town.
Classic Begbie there 😂
the soundtrack album was amazing
Ewan Bremner is seriously underrated as an actor.
Begbie looks like Liam Neesons smaller but older son 😂
Sinéad O’Connor sent me here via the Craig Ferguson interview.
Really surprising.. psh please their intuition had to let them know this was going to be a huge huge huge phenomenal success
Why is the sick boy actor reminding me of cheese and onion crisps in a pub?
best movie ever made, no questions about it
I love Robert😄
Back when Obi Wan Kenobi shot Heroine lol Classic movie.
OMG. I'm on day 3 of Suboxone. Don't feel so good. It's better than cold turkey. Anyway... It's been a while since a laugh like that! It's sooooo funny! Thanks for the laugh!
Scottish and Irish accents are the best
Spent the whole episode hoping Robert would talk about Once Upon a Time...
Robert Carlyle was the most TOP NOTCH Actor amongst the other three 👍🏻‼️
Bring back Hamish Macbeth!!!
It's weird seeing Spud with facial hair, and Begbie without. It's like they switched.
I wish I were Scottish :-(
marty mitch it is wonderful m8 you're always welcome in our wee country
@Rabi Schlomo, TH-cam censors your Trainspotting quote, you know it?
I just really dont understand what is Begbie saying and what is everyone laughing at
Willis oh yeah, now that you have written it, i can heard it, thanks a lot
I can't see the comment, what did he say?
oh you are so nice, youtube people
Willis Thanks!
Yeah, he is missed...
So, what he said?
Just a saudi guy fond of trainspotting movie passing by !
"I thought it was a load of pish".
What does he say 1:11? I thought it was....
He says he thought it was "Pish" which is a Scottish slang word for terrible...
Yes, please can someone help and tell what does he say?!?! Pleaseeeee.... Thank You in advance ;)
Orlanda correia santos He said "I think everyone was pished about it" Which means that He though that everyone hated it. ☺
Thank you Omar!
Thank You Wolves!
ROBERT!!!
Funny that my first memory of Begbie is actually more of Daffy
It's weird to see Spud being well spoken lol
He's adorable 😍 aw
Johhny Lee Miller looks like Jason Statham here.
Trainspotting marked a lot of years of me and my friends when we go high of joints, cocaine, mushrooms, lsd..,
The, hey, this is trainspotting¡¡¡
Lol.. sounds familiar👍
just found this after watching ofmd and i fuckibg love ewan bremner
He thought The Full Monty was a load of pish?! lol so what does that make Eragon?
I don't think he'd ever mention it.
Whats he saying by 01:10 ? "I thought I..."
Donde ver este late subtitulado?
Robert Carlyle should play Putin in something, anything.
He'd basically be playing a Russian Begbie then. It'd be funny, but...
"Its shyte being scoiish"
My favourite Scottish word......
" pish "
Damn... Hair loss is unforgiving.
It s officially the less hairy video on youtube...
Well, McGregor seems to have full hair, just shaved. Either way, I think nobody on this couch has a hair transplant, which I find great. Keeping it real.
Yeah Sick Boy was quite the heart throb before
the full monty is a very unfluential film, controversial indeed but influential, today movies like Magic mike makes the cutbto theaters, sad.
nice one
Rumple are you lost?
Sophie Sands no, he's home
reindeer spotting
Just am i see robert face look like liam nesson..?
Nope. Not a word.
"it's so weird you mention the full monty" CC: "to the poor monkey" closed captioning really doesn't work on this show well :P

It was in English.
I didnt care for full Monty Trainspotting was interesting!Acting was good!Anyway trainspotting filmed my homeland! But I hate drug culture!
