The other thing pitting mains vs White Walkers does is pay off on all the foreshadowing of Valerian steel we've seen for the past seven seasons. As the battle went down, it made not one whit of difference that Jaime and Briane and Jorah had Valerian steel. Even Jon's didn't matter.

Have you watched all 4 of these videos? He has stated that everyone who dies in the actual episode will still die in his edits. That means Edd and Beric won't survive the White Walker brawl. Also, if you were paying attention to this video, Rhaegal had just set a bunch of them on fire. Killing some, scattering some.

It's safe to assume that he is stronger than the rest of the WW. It's also safe to assume that his immunity to it was another intentional subversion of expectations. D. Wights are easily destroyed by even regular fire, never mind dragon fire. E. Dragon glass and dragon steel kill them, but not dragon fire? Come on.

Eyes roll back. * Dany is interrupted by dragon screams. * She looks up confused * Drogon and Rhaegal comes down from high up and lands on each side of Sansa. * "What are you doing. I am in charge" * Sansa walks up and puts a hand on her shoulder. * With a soft voice: "do you *feel* in charge"
Jaimie should have died this episode, knighting Brienne was the perfect conclusion to his characters arc. Instead of just completly undoing everything one episode later by having him go running back to Cercei and just dying. What a fucking cop out.

I would have liked to see Sam try to save books from the library as fire would spread to it, to focus on how remembering the past is our responsibility, we can't rely on miracles, and how our own attempts to save ourselves can lead to the destruction of what we prize. But the whole episode was written to just make us think everyone might actually die, so nothing could actually happen.
Or instead of a personal vendetta to want to kill bran maybe there is a magical reason. Either he's the only one capable of doing it, or he wants to ensure it gets done, or by killing bran himself he can absorb his power or something
Although this version gives the major players 'something to do' in fighting the white walkers, this is probably the biggest issue I'd take with your proposal. These characters all but vanish from the first 2/3 of your 'edit'. I think a lot of why they seemed to apparently die only to resurface so much during the actual episode was that they wanted to keep all the characters present throughout, not have some of them seemingly go off for large chunks of the running time. Similarly, in this version as you're describing it, I'm wondering what Danny's been doing for the past 10 minutes. Just hovering above the clouds? There needs to be more back-and-forth so the audience can match the locations/timing of these events. On the whole though, I think your ideas allow for a lot of what was obviously missing in the episode, and you've done as good a job as anyone could without simply re-doing the whole thing.
Why is the Godswood tree important in the story of Arya and the Night King. The weirwood trees are the many faced God and they require a blood sacrifice. Every one dies, everyone servers. The Godwood tree Has been waiting for all of the pieces to come together the most Powerfull warg and someone like Arya. The Dragons in GOT were said to be magical/tied to magic and Drogon seemed to understand the symbolism of the Iron Throne, therefore GOT portrays them as intelligent. I think Warging is meant to get more difficult the more intelligent/powerful the "target" is, IMO Bran wouldn't be able to warg into Rhaegal. (A dragon is not a slave) Hodor felt like Bran was brute force taking control of his mind and disliked it, even if we ignore the morality of it you do not want to piss off Rhaegal if you're not sure it will work. Anyway, Rhaegal would probably bring the fighters (with 1 handed Jamie?) if asked. Also Rhaegal would be MUCH better at micromanaging (him?)self in battle than Bran would be, he is a Dragon!. Bran (probably) has no experience of Piloting a dragon in battle. Having Bran warg Rhaegal would just cater to fans who have bias for bran/humans over Rhaegal/Dragons, no? (nvm seeming greedy and being a stretch to believe) imo GOT rly should stop catering to fans. (This is also why I would oppose dead stark kings rising up to protect sansa etc, im all for them rising up to kill and actually killing a few named characters though). I dislike the audacity to suggest warging Rhaegal but maybe we have different interpretations of warging (How the target is effected is covered more in the books with the Varamyr sixskins chapter) I really like your channel, thank you for so much well done content.

Oh man you had me until you put Jon against the night king. Even if we put aside the fact that book Jon has no unique or excelled fighting skills or this personal beef with death that he does in the show, it still doesn’t work. The night king is death. He represents the erasure of mankind both literally and figuratively, THATS why he has a vendetta against bran. Bran is the world’s memory. He is life. He knows and sees all and so all live on through him. It was never Jon against death, it was death against life. So as bran is now doing more in this edit than he did in the original (which I appreciate), Jon (who has shown time and again that death is not really his personal enemy) facing the night king takes away this mirrored struggle between bran and NK. It puts Jon on a realm that I don’t think he was meant to be on. Jon’s struggle has always been identity and so that is his big face off. Being who he is. Not death. Just some conversation points. I appreciate the time you put into this and love the other changes!
More simple: after the arrows are used up on wights (only a small number actually get thru to this location), the white walkers engage the remaining protectors of Bran, the battle ends with only Theon and the Knight King remaining and the rest is as shown in the show. I don't have a problem with Arya doing the deed. This way, no mystery as how Jon got behind the tree, no trying to figure how they all got on the dragon in the middle of heavy battle, and so on. I would also have ended E2 with the Dothraki lights going out (imagine the suspense for E3 when the credits role at this point), this way you have more time in E3 for better story telling and can show how there seems to be so many remaining in E5&6. They could even regroup and be responsible for saving those who survived, instead of the lame way actually portrayed. Jorah could even return with them (instead of earlier, essentially alone) and better explain why he was beside Dany when he died. Maybe we even see some wolf battle action (like he helps Jon in battle with raised wights, taking the edge off Arya killing NK). This whole battle was a joke - wasn't it Jon's strategy to lure Bolton out of the castle to have a chance to win in the open field, and here we have Jon making the same mistake with no plan for a cavalry rescue.
You are rewriting but not understand what was happening. Why was brand meeting the Night King Under the Godswood tree? Why does night king not just hitting brand with dragon fire? It goes back to the first time Brand Meets the Night King, how did brand get away from certain death? Brand should have died when the Night King grabbed him. The only reasonable explanation That explains every thing about brand and the Night King is that brand got away by warging the Night King something that was probably instinctive it probably got the Night King by surprise. That's the only thing that explains the night King's interest in brand and his sudden decision to do nothing but destroy brand. Why does brand want to meet Next to the same godswood tree that created the Night King. Brand plan is recreating the ritual That creates the Night King. The night King and impervious to Valerian Steel, Dragon glass and dragon fire all of which man had the last time they faught the Night King. After man won why not just kill the Night King even if all you had to do is forge a new blade. No they thought it easier to send the Night King north create 700 foot ice wall and Winterfell Castle To contain the Night King. Rather than stab him with a Valerian Blade.
He didn't die when the Night King grabbed him because he wasn't there physically. He doesn't meet the Night King, he was projecting himself to see the army of the dead. You need to work on your English.
