Although I don't particularly like a gruff-voiced man telling me to get on the roof (and, too be honest, I feel vaguely threatened), this song is both upbeat and dark, and utterly enjoyable and danceable, through and through 4.7/5
This is unadulterated madness. When I was living in a flat last year, my flatmates and I would party with Taxxon in the background, gradually enticing more and more of our flatmates to join the session by quoting Clockwork Orange, specifically the line "Try the Wine". This is some freaky, synchronicity voodoo
First time I listen to any Patricia Taxxon song: This is merely okay, some interesting points. I could take it or leave it. One month later: This is the greatest song I've ever heard and I'm obsessed with it.
Absolutely this. My partner asked, a strange look on her face, what I was listening to. I answered "The future". Very lovely song and the feature was dang neat. A bow wrapped around a lovely box 😍
I have to admit it's hard for me to get into everything you do, maybe its just not for me. I'm mostly subscribed for the essays, but if you make something I try to check it out and occasionally I get a new favorite song. I dont know why but your music is so polarizing for me. I think that proves your doing things genuinely different everytime and I appreciate that.
I know this is two years late but I have to agree I adore her unfettered creativity and go getter attitude towards creativity I am slowly working on being as gun ho with creativity as she is
I feel guilty for missing OG Contrapoints. Is it fucked up that I do? Anyway, absolutely love this, especially the sort of slurred quality of the lyrics. Some of your albums have been incredibly influential to me and I feel bad that you'll never know how much I listen to them because I downloaded them to listen to them on the way to work. Great stuff, I really admire you Patty!
I don't feel guilty. Those videos where some of the best this whole site has ever produced, and I'm sad that I can't watch them now. I understand why she feels the way she does about those videos still being here. But I also feel the way I do about them being gone. If she ever decides, further down the line, that she is comfortable with them being public again, I will be happy about that.
first time watching, almost didn't finish it. 2nd time, I wasn't sure why I suddenly wanted to listen to it again. Happened a couple times again. Now I've listened to it on repeat a bunch of times cus it scratches my brain **just** right in a place reserved for just this song that I didn't know existed.
Might be my favorite song from you now, I love the “get on the roof” parts. I love how I can’t tell what the voice is saying when just listening to it but when I read them I get it, when I listen later i can still miss them. It’s a weird feeling but a great effect
This is literally the best piece of music i have heard by an individual. and you know that has a _lot_ of competition. like seriously i don't think the comments have enough praise
Things I learned from this song: 1. aubergine is also known as eggplant 2. iodine is an element (symbol I, atomic number 53) and an essential nutrient that stimulates production of thyroid hormones 3. Alkaline wine is impossible because all wine is acidic to some degree 4. a cathode ray tube (CRT) is a vacuum tube containing one or more electron guns, which emit electron beams that are manipulated to display images on a phosphorescent screen, aka the screen of "boxy" computer and television sets manufactured from 1922-2000 5. The lyrics at 2:00 seem to hint at a sentimentality of some kind with a CRT device, possibly about nostalgia or a past experience, unless it's just nonsense lyrics idk
hey update on the cookies they were left out for like 2 hours bc i had to get another bag of chocolate chips and they didnt turn out normally but hey there were still pretty good

it's like the weirdest but also coolest thing to now hear Nineouh on two different Patricia Taxxon songs because i knew his anitube content way before i listened to patricia song is sick btw
This is an absolute audio delight, a perfect mess, a drunk concoction even! The very last Chorus part is a tad bit unnerving and sounds a bit out of place, but as a whole damn its good.
@@annaheritage931 well, it doesn't have the ethanol flavor, which for me kinda ruins beer and wine. i guess a first approximation would be grape juice without the overwhelming sweetness. but there is more to it, that i just don't know how to describe. and there is differences between the different wines… if you wanna start with something mild chardonnay would be a be a good start. i also like merlot. i like the ones from Carl Jung (no relation to the psychoanalyst, i think) but i also haven't tried much else.
This is interesting. I like the beat leading in, very groovy, same with the lead in tune. Unusual turn when the lyrics start, but pleasant. Strange reach of notes for the pre-chorus, but still very good. At this point I feel as though the song is missing a floor, or that it has a small cavity underneath the structure it has formed (I don't know how else to describe it really), like it's lacking some coherent sound among the miniature gaps. I think it's good to have those gaps, but like there shouldn't be complete silence in them. The chorus is very sharp, like a sawblade cutting into my ears. It's not ugly, but very unpleasant; I can't say I like that. The bridge is light and pleasant, reminding me of lightly stepping on some liquid with high surface tension. The rap(?) is a nice later addition to it. Overall, a little all over the place. I personally would have done something different with the chorus and one or two sounds, made the pieces fit together a bit better a little, and maybe one other thing, but overall, it's good (in my opinion)
don't make fun of chris, he's trying his best
Patricia Taxxon
ok i won’t

Ok, when is Chris getting his own Project Diva game?
ok I'll be nice

This sounds like a Vocaloid cover of a ARTPOP-era Lady Gaga song.

This song really freaking grew on me
Hard bop tbh
REALLY love the first half with the vocaloid. Second half is less my thing, but it does work as a coherent whole so I really like the song overall.
