So light could get away with it with luck on his side He would have to be very lucky tho and probably requiring this to happen at a specific time tho 😅
I mean that's also kinda what happens in the show. Even if it was a little bit more convoluted, Light turning himself in, forgetting everything and befriending L was the action that eventually brought L off tracks and to his death
I mean the things is L is correct. Nobody would believe it because it is too perfect and convenient. Light says he did it. Says it happened in a way he can’t replicate or prove and that there’s no way to show where it came from. It’s one giant ‘trust me, bro’
To be clear, compulsive confessions, specifically those involving completely insane methodologies, are incredibly common and almost never lead to convictions
I like how the music gets more distorted as L realizes that he wasted potentially thousands of taxpayer dollars stalking a high schooler. It's a great addition.
I remember once seeing a comment thread that said something like "Enough with asking which character could solve the Kira case; which character could away with the Kira killings " And the prevailing answer was "literally anybody without a God complex and an ounce of restraint to not leave a signature"
Epilogue: After accidentally defeating L, Light decides to give up on the Kira business and become a regular person. That is until he is struck by a truck and teleported to a fantasy world. Coming next summer with a new Isekai: I was a serial killer with a magic book and then transported to another world.
Every franchise Seals are Good makes videos about reveals both a deep understanding of the franchise and also a perfect sense for everything ridiculous about it.
Here he was, being so full of guilt and straight up confessing directly to the detective, only for the latter to think he had completely lost it and need therapy and think the real Kira is still out there somewhere. Imagine L going on a wild goosechase all around the world and investigate every strange death only to turn up nothing on Kira
Of course L wouldn’t believe him, in reality, people use facts, evidence, and logic to know how something works or happens. If someone acts like Light and says “I used a magic notebook to kill people”, the person they’re trying to communicate that to would not believe that for a second due to the fact that there has never been true proof of supernatural activity, even if someone were to witness something like that, they would not be able to fathom what they saw, making themselves question everything they knew as well as turn insane trying to make sense of what they have seen. If you want a short answer, magic doesn’t exist. Children of the future, Disney has been feeding lies for over a hundred years, live with it.
L: "This makes no sense. Light's the only person smart enough to be Kira-" Matsuda: "Kind of a bold assumption when there are six billion people in the world-" L: "-The only person smart enough to be Kira. No, there is one other, but... if Light isn't Kira then, that must mean I'm Kira. That makes sense, actually; the only person who could outsmart L is L himself, so if L is Kira and Kira is L, then it makes sense that L has been taking all these Ls." Misa: "But wait! Misa is in love with Kira, and since I've been dating Light, that must mean Light is Kira!" L: "Oh my, it's worse than I thought. If I truly am Kira, then that must mean I've secretly been dating Misa behind Light's back, which means I'm not only a mass murderer, I'm also a terrible friend. Watari, please arrest me right away. I can't even stand to look at myself right now."
Since Matsuda is probably still unemployed since he was fired from both the Task Force and the SPK, how about him going all in on his whole "being Manager of Misa-Misa"-thing and Misa being too nice to tell him Mogi already took up the role of her manager in the meantime?
L’s thoughts: Hm. On the one hand he sounds absolutely insane, but on the other it’s well established that Kira has the means to eliminate his targets without being present and while leaving no evidence beyond a pattern to his chosen methods. The heart attacks serving as a default method would explain much, for if he was in a hurry and didn’t have time to think of a more detailed or obscure demise…like my double. Regardless of his claims being true, that had to have been an impulsive act- it was what the entire scenario had been built towards to flush Kira out. If he is telling the truth, but is simply refusing to elaborate on that one instance for some reason, perhaps I could stage another elaborate setup to- Light: Hold on a second. Proceeds to bait Ryu into eating an apple in front of L. L:……I think I just found religion. Get thee behind me, foul apple demon!
The AI sounds amazing in this. I was convinced it was 2 really good voice actors doing impressions of the characters. I understand you heavily edited the voices to sound better, but it's still absolutely amazing how perfect they sound. Very impressive. Good job!
Alternate ending: Light: (did I win?… NO… this doesn’t end until one of us DIES…) “By the way, since we might not see each other anytime soon, can I know your real name? You know, as a parting gift between friends?” L: “You’re arrested.”
I honestly believe if Light heard that, he would immediately double down to say that was him as it would be the same hubris in the anime which would make him hell bent in proving to L that he is Kira, but L for some god damn reason refuses to.
Playing the new Death Note game and admitting you're Kira in a voting period be like Seriously, they'll either all instantly vote for you or think you passed it off and split the vote so they can't arrest you or they arrest someone else and you can then kill L without issue.
I believe there are people who have admitted to murder but were basically only charged for obstruction of justice and perjury Because despite their claims there was undeniable proof they couldn't and were just proven attention seekers with minimal investigation

I mean the things is L is correct.
Nobody would believe it because it is too perfect and convenient. Light says he did it. Says it happened in a way he can’t replicate or prove and that there’s no way to show where it came from.
It’s one giant ‘trust me, bro’
I love how Light is willing to confess absolutely everything except the potato chip trick. Also the music getting distorted is a nice touch.
"Uhhhh... All exactly as planned?"
*Seinfeld theme plays*
When people ask about the plot of your favorite anime and you tell them 1:47
When light just comes out and admits it it really does sound like he has gone crazy
To be clear, compulsive confessions, specifically those involving completely insane methodologies, are incredibly common and almost never lead to convictions
Honestly the off beat music makes this better 😭
Him explaining out the entire way he got the notebook actually sounded really stupid when you think about it lol
I like how the music gets more distorted as L realizes that he wasted potentially thousands of taxpayer dollars stalking a high schooler. It's a great addition.
I remember once seeing a comment thread that said something like "Enough with asking which character could solve the Kira case; which character could away with the Kira killings "
And the prevailing answer was "literally anybody without a God complex and an ounce of restraint to not leave a signature"
A magic death notebook with rules so convoluted and bizarre it broke the mind of a detective.
Epilogue: After accidentally defeating L, Light decides to give up on the Kira business and become a regular person. That is until he is struck by a truck and teleported to a fantasy world. Coming next summer with a new Isekai: I was a serial killer with a magic book and then transported to another world.
THE MUSIC HAS ME DYING
I watched the original months ago. The remaster brought me back :)
“Well we wouldn’t want that.” “Indeed.” “Undoubtedly” “But it’s safe underground?” “Ah so this ‘shinigami’ respects the rules of finders keepers.”
3:03 the delivery of this line is incredible.
3 months later L: (deep inhale) no nonono noooo
Watari: there hasn’t been any murders in months perhaps-
L: nooooooooooo
that "omg i've wasted months of my time" to the distorted music was *cheffs kiss*
The music going off-key makes the video ultra perfect
This makes me want to see a timeline where Light is actually innocent, but is driven to insanity by L and the police force.
There was a fic on AO3 with that premise I swear. Can't remember what the tags were or the name for the life of me though
I may or may not have used "ring ring" as an excuse to grab my phone and fake a conversation. Anyway thanks for re-uploading this it's great. ʕ•ᴥ•ʔ
why not pretend your phone is on vibration instead
"He could sprout wings and fly away" "......Well we wouldnt want that" That about took me out for some reason.
I love L's little comments at 2:18
"Well, we wouldn't want that :("
“Indeed”
"Undoubtedly"
Same energy as “I don’t want to live in a world without Light!” “Yes, that would be very dark.”
The copyright-free edit of L's theme makes it seems like he's losing his mind
rip old version, but this is a great adaptation lol
2:39 the piano is killing me
Every franchise Seals are Good makes videos about reveals both a deep understanding of the franchise and also a perfect sense for everything ridiculous about it.
Here he was, being so full of guilt and straight up confessing directly to the detective, only for the latter to think he had completely lost it and need therapy and think the real Kira is still out there somewhere. Imagine L going on a wild goosechase all around the world and investigate every strange death only to turn up nothing on Kira
I guess all the memory wiping rules would complicate coming clean for a guilty feeling Kira
Either I've seen this before or this is the most fucked up deja vu ever
Reupload, I was tweaking about it too
Of course L wouldn’t believe him, in reality, people use facts, evidence, and logic to know how something works or happens.
The music descending into madness is the icing on the cake. I’m happy this got reuploaded.
L: "This makes no sense. Light's the only person smart enough to be Kira-"
Matsuda: "Kind of a bold assumption when there are six billion people in the world-"
L: "-The only person smart enough to be Kira. No, there is one other, but... if Light isn't Kira then, that must mean I'm Kira. That makes sense, actually; the only person who could outsmart L is L himself, so if L is Kira and Kira is L, then it makes sense that L has been taking all these Ls."
Misa: "But wait! Misa is in love with Kira, and since I've been dating Light, that must mean Light is Kira!"
L: "Oh my, it's worse than I thought. If I truly am Kira, then that must mean I've secretly been dating Misa behind Light's back, which means I'm not only a mass murderer, I'm also a terrible friend. Watari, please arrest me right away. I can't even stand to look at myself right now."
One again leaps in logic worthy of deathnote.
I love the idea of L concidering having Multiple Personality Disorder during the entire Yotsuba arc
Since Matsuda is probably still unemployed since he was fired from both the Task Force and the SPK, how about him going all in on his whole "being Manager of Misa-Misa"-thing and Misa being too nice to tell him Mogi already took up the role of her manager in the meantime?
1:10 WHAT IS THE EMPHASIS ON THE LONG HARD HERE LIKE WHAT IS THE PURPOSE
I love how L's theme gets more distorted as the video goes on
L’s thoughts: Hm. If he is telling the truth, but is simply refusing to elaborate on that one instance for some reason, perhaps I could stage another elaborate setup to-
Light: Hold on a second.
Proceeds to bait Ryu into eating an apple in front of L.
L:……I think I just found religion. Get thee behind me, foul apple demon!
That piano playing at the very end was the best.
That was exactly the moment Light Yagami became a moron with delusions of grandeur.
This is one of the best Death Note parody videos I've seen.
The AI sounds amazing in this. I was convinced it was 2 really good voice actors doing impressions of the characters. I understand you heavily edited the voices to sound better, but it's still absolutely amazing how perfect they sound. Very impressive. Good job!
autism vs autism super battle
That's it that's the plot, well that and the magical notebook and half assed god who dropped it.
Alternate ending: Light: (did I win?… NO… this doesn’t end until one of us DIES…)
“By the way, since we might not see each other anytime soon, can I know your real name? You know, as a parting gift between friends?”
L: “You’re arrested.”
the best way to prove it would be imo: “this is a piece of paper from that notebook, give me a name and face of a criminal right now.”
I honestly believe if Light heard that, he would immediately double down to say that was him as it would be the same hubris in the anime which would make him hell bent in proving to L that he is Kira, but L for some god damn reason refuses to.
Playing the new Death Note game and admitting you're Kira in a voting period be like
Seriously, they'll either all instantly vote for you or think you passed it off and split the vote so they can't arrest you or they arrest someone else and you can then kill L without issue.
Even if ur an investigator and not actually Kira or a follower?
he broke bad.i want to replace my ringtone with just ring ring.
This copyright free music goes hard
"Light Turns Himself On"
Wait-
bro got forgiveness from the divine comedy by realizing his error in conduct.
All according to the cake.
OGs will remember this isn't the original upload
Yeah I was confused but I remember he was copyright strike and had to delete the video and uploaded again
Glad your best video is back up.
this is just beautiful
I'll happy accept this as a canon ending rather what we got on season 2
Probably better, but I would like to see light win
Light: Come on! Not my Potato Chip!
Light is so proud that he took a potato chip and ate it.
Light playing the oposite and confessed his guilty turned L into his defense lawyer
I love how the piano gets more and more just started as he just starts explaining it's too funny
@sealsaregood5146
You completely lost me when you didn't end the video with the words:
"Just according to keikaku"
😎
@@radimklimek458 damn, genuine lost opportunity
But what does keikaku mean?
@@PaulNgoXIII it means plan
@@PaulNgoXIII
If you don't know this, you can't consider yourself a Death Note fan.
Maybe it's better if the TFS jokes stay with TFS.
This is so good it should be illegal, just like installing cameras into people's rooms.
L for no reason: you are Kira and you also aren't Kira
I love the music getting progressively more legally distinct
Ah, all in preparation for the sequel where Light survives his wounds, tracks down L and confess again in a bid to not have sex with Misa, I assume?
I believe there are people who have admitted to murder but were basically only charged for obstruction of justice and perjury
Because despite their claims there was undeniable proof they couldn't and were just proven attention seekers with minimal investigation
The music slowly becoming more and more ridiculous is amazing.
