Dude thanks for you effort in getting the Xbox community up to speed! The Xbox controls can be daunting for new players including myself and some of the tutorials are vague (not too bad). Really hope you continue these videos at the pace that you are since I find these to be the most thorough so far. Cheers again m8!
truth in that statment the controls are quite diffcult thinking that will change over time
i have PC version and have been playing with the XBX pad. i can definitely say that m&k is way better BUT!! after a month of playing it with controller it does get easier/faster to remember what to press and what not to press

Incase anyone doesn’t know, I figured out after playing the game for a long time that you can make block groups by holding LB and going down the list then name it and save it. If you have different blocks you want to group or they aren’t by each other change their names so they are side by side. 👌

As soon as he walked over to the pod and started grinding the thruster, I immediately menacingly took out my grinder and ran right over to the pod.
he forgot to mention how to get things out of the storage conaner if you havent changed the filter right click the stick in to change diffrent filters and move it to all invintories, as mine was auto set to storage invintory and i was stuck trying to get components out for a good hour trying to build stuff

I probably got the best drop pod spawn ever. Right beside the mountains on about as much ice as youd ever need. With hard rock right at the surface.
My pod has landed on the pole cap, that's why i'm in the unfortunate situation, that i can't use solar power, because the sun is always to low.
Idk if thus is dumb but I’m new to the game and the controls are super intricate could you do a video walking through controls maybe teach some tricks on them
One thing worth mentioning is that if you hold LB+A you will deposit everything but tools and bottles into the container.
How do I get the build items out automatically?

just got this game and I am having a hard time getting started. - You make it look so easy.
Do you have issues taking components out of your assembler once the assembler, basic refinery, and small storage are all connected? I am unable to remove items and they do not show up in my inventory.
I can get the materials out if they're on my build planner, but I still don't know how to get items like tools out
I've found a solution. I have 2 conveyors sorters in between my cargo container and my assembler and refinery. You can set the sorters to drain all on the whitelist of items. The one pulling resources from the cargo container has "ore" whitelisted, and the sorter going into the container has "components" whitelisted. Here's the picture imgur.com/gallery/wucJhBC

Hey man I really loved the tutorial but whenever I go into the cargo container, refinery, etc I cannot see and interact with the inventory of the other blocks. Their inventories just don’t come up below the one I’m accessing.
The same thing is happening to me with the assembler
@@painxz1 I figured it out but I haven’t played this game in a while. I think it’s pushing in the right joystick or rt or something.

Maybe in next video you can show them grinding down conveyor and wield it up, to unlock conveyor sorter and same with the basic light on the ship that will unlock other lights. Works for the seat too. Keep up the good work, will share this with others that are struggling with basics of controller. Like left bumper and pressing A auto dumps your inventory into cargo box if it is highlighted for interaction or other devices that can be interacted with be it refinery, assembler, o2/h2, reactors and more

not sure if you covered it before but grind and weld the lights aswell for tech tree
Nice tutorial. The only thing I disagree on is grinding the escape pod down. I slavage it and made a mining ship out of it which made resource gathering at the start much easier. Regarding the metal grids, having that ship with the ore detector made it much easier to find a colbat deposit early game. The battery in the ship also has a lot more power to start you off than building a battery from new.

when i go into my refinery that is set up exactly like yours is i dont have access to the basic assembler so i cant pull anything but i can still make things, how do i fix this?
I have the same the problem, I can make components but can't remove them from the assembler

Hold the RB then hit the button on the controller that looks like 2 boxes, 1 behind the other. If that does not help, bring out your torch. Point it at the item you are trying to finish. Then pull the left trigger to tell the torch that you need those parts. Then repeat the first sentence.
@@edwardwhite8861 figured that out 4 days ago, lol. Pretty much an expert at doing that now. But the first few hours of learning controls was hard AF.
@@CrazyBeardedGamer Well, I have had it for about 4 days and it's driving me crazier. As I watch the videos, they never tell you how they "just bring this over here". Having to figure out the rest is a pain. To make maters worse I demolished my pod w/o "repairing" some things before destroying them again. Ugh
You could have used the pod as a atmospheric miner and also grab the light on the side with the battery to unlock more stuff

I built the same way as yourself assembly refinery but I cant pull items from my refinery so or e.g. I made interior plate but I cant take it out of the refinery ant put it into my inventory? any ideas?

I just got this game on xbox and have been following these very helpful tutorials (Thanks) However, I've got stuck on the part where I need to remove my manufactured items from the fabricator. They show up on the fabricator inventory page but I can't move them to my inventory. Can someone please explain how I do that?

@@Death-hi3gu Depends, you stuck on ground or can't escape atmosphere ? Need more thrusters to raise the ship at first, but once you reach certain heights in atmosphere your atmospheric thrusters won't work anymore you then need hydrogen ones.
You need to also have enough power to handle the load of your ship, if you see the energy bar going RED when you push your thrusters, that means you don't have enough buffer energy (batteries) on your ship to sustain the thrusters.
First do a simple atmospheric ship to move around, keep in mind if it has cargo that the more weight == the more strain on the thrusters (they may not support the ship if too heavy, and will consumme more energy too).
It has enough power the trusters aren’t work it’s like it’s stuck in the ground but when I turn the ship off it slides down the hill
@@Death-hi3gu That means it does not have enough lifting thrust. Keep in mind that if you are sliding downhill, it is not only the lifting thrusters that do the work, but also the ones thrusting uphill. If it is steep enough, they even might need to do most of the work. Alternatively, you could use gyros, to level out once you unlock, but then you must take extra caution to keep the ship level, or it will crash due to the insufficent side thrust. Unless you are automating the ship, you don't need to build downthrust, as gravity will do the job for you, just don't flip it upside down.

Carlton Baker I actually figured it out, you have to use right toggle down to filter out the right side inventory screen to see all the inventories
When your in the inventory screen you click the right stick and it will show all connected inventories. If you are piloting a ship and connect to a station u can click left stick to show all inventories on the ship.
You can plug a keyboard and mouse into the Xbox
