Incredible. Seriously Valve just impress me so much with their work to support the Linux platform. How's Arch treating you btw?
Frr It is amazing
Arch is treating me very well, learning some of the issues with flatpak but trying to use the official repos and aur fully for my apps which is pretty amazing as installing applications/software are way faster then other distros
YES!
Linux gaming never fails to amaze me!
What software do you use to show the performance in the top left corner ?
Mangohud and then goverlay for configuring it
I have a video for installing and configuring it aswell :)
Yo I have a question.Does EndeavourOS receives same AMD driver updates as Nobara?
Nobara has 2 mesa versions installed, one for gaming which is mesa git and then regular point release of mesa, endeavour just has regular point release but you can install mesa git if you want to from the aur.
So for regular mesa updates yes they update around the same time
Good see it working on proton. But it seems the game performance is low given your hardware, I have an RX 6600+ + i5 10400 and frame rate was hovering in the 90s in the open. I also had GPU-screen recorder working in the background for replays.
Yes my cpu is bottlenecking my gpu by about 20 to 30% so thats why
@@linuxnext You could try dx11 and see if there's any improvement
@@Abduiwahb you cant force dx11 on the finals, its dx12. Also dx12/vkd3d behaves a lot more better for cpu bottlenecked systems then dx11/dxvk atleast for me
@@linuxnext The game's page on PCGamingWiki says you could do that. But good to know dx12/vkd3d is better in this scenario
I see i see, well thats good, I'll give it a try to see if anything improves
Great that that the game is working but isn't the performance a bit low for just 1080p at medium settings?
I think i lost around 10fps, i could install mesa 24 to see if it improves more as recent patches from valve gave a huge boost in performance
Also I'm bottlenecked by my cpu so my gpu can only get around 70% util
the finals is crazily heavy though
this game is wild, can't wait to see how pro plays will be
btw, how is the performance compared to windows?
I lost about 10fps
@@linuxnextpretty good for a game that's just released.
how can you get 80fps avg using rx6700? pretty sure it can get higher than that. especially it has 10g vram
@@ayodyaenhanayoan3273 my 3700x is bottlenecking it
@@linuxnext ohh that's why. thankyou for the response. you're the best!
waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa yaasssssss
Bro I am getting white background in login page in nobara I don’t like it plz help
Ok, go to startup, and shutdown in your settings and change the wallpaper in login screen then hit apply when your done
will frame gen work fine on rtx 4050 graphic card?
I dont think nvidia has brought that over to linux yet, unsure tho
Bro I installed nobara from your video I installed it successfully but the display sometimes freezes only cursor works plz help me
Whats your hardware? And have you switched to x11 to see if that improves anything
@@linuxnext i installed nobara at my laptop gtx 1050ti intel i58300h can help me me installing x11 I think I didn’t install plz
@@linuxnext where to switch to x11😅
@@artistico3936 x11 is preinstalled, logout to the sign in window and should see a option to switch to x11 or wayland
@@artistico3936 logout of nobara, bottom left or right, switch to x11
Wait! What? Already in Linux? Last week i try with linux, The Finals cant play on any proton... :D
Yep, lots of people were asking so they silently updated it to work with only proton experimental for now, if you have avx 512 supported with your cpu then youll need to add a boot parameter to your grub but besides that there are no other big issues sept voice chat not working
EAC Enable?
Yes 👍, it seems it was done over server side as there was no update but specifically a protpn experimental update that got it working

@@user-ug6lu2sv5u are you from discord? Im pollux on discord lol
If not report it under protons github page
github.com/ValveSoftware/Proton/issues/7317
Did devs patch it or it was proton update?
@@BartekBroniszewski seems like both, a update got eac working, then proton experimental update got it working fully with some issues fixed, possibly a server side anticheat they use also got a update for proton/linux support
