I think the game cases with the Microsoft employee store sticker are cool, pieces of gaming history of a practice Microsoft held as a perk for their employees.
I think they are a cool idea. They are just way too big and obtrusive being right in the center of the game case
This was awesome, it's rare to see someone talk about OG Xbox game collecting, it doesn't get enough love! Though I suppose that also works in our favor, since games are often way cheaper than their Playstation and GameCube counterparts.
It's not that rare. I watch plenty of OG content because I only collect 6th and 7th gen xbox and psp.
Facts! its the best kept secret of 6th gen. The 3rd party games run better and look better than PS2 or Gamecube more often than not and are half the price usually.

First time here great video and interesting idea. I used to buy games off here a few years ago and got a saturn game and some master system games for good prices but this was a few years ago. Love the og xbox I have 299 games now.

Considering it’s Goodwill, I would say you did about as well as can be expected. I deliver for FedEx and go to various Goodwill‘s and often either the games are not even in the cases or the disks are totally scratched.

GREAT video, i love OG Xbox, i just started collecting for it in 2022, its pretty damn affordable still. Got about 200 game so far. Its become one of my all time fave consoles ever.

Cool video! I love bulk buys but it can be risky unless you’re getting them for a stupidly good price. I think you did half decent, can probably move the ones they didn’t take to a pawn shop or something to recoup a bit more cash.

Og Xbox is my favourite console with the Dreamcast! Your set is good start to build a collection but there are many valuable and rare titles hard to find….Manhunt, Obscure, Fatal Frame, Silent hills, stubbs the zombie, the Punisher…. Outrun, crash Team Racing, still Life,etc… i personnaly go for the full set of titles compatible on Xbox One and Series (around 62 titles….) keep on!

The PS2 always gets more love - but I like the Xbox OG more.

Having done the thrift store search for the last 2.5 yrs, I've seen everything from pristine to used as sand paper. Knowing that, I couldn't buy sight unseen. Not unless the value towered over the cost.

Id keep the extra inserts or xbox live inserts from the trade in pile. Maybe using some of the cases for condition upgrades on other games. I like that you collect og xbox. I do too.

Every time I've bought bulk lots I've ended up with some duds... I'm lucky that my store will take in everything since they have a really high end resurfacer. Goodwill is definitely a gamble.
Agreed same here I got a lot of hidden gems from them but at the same time i have got just as many duds as well gamble is pretty much the best way to describe how it feels buying from them thats for sure
I used to buy a lot of wholesale lots from Mercari and most of the time games from the photo would be missing 😂 got burned too many times
you know you can use a CD buffer on all your Xbox games will get all the scratches out

They're all pretty expensive, but most gameshops have one and will remove the scratches for a few bucks
Take the scratched disc to get the scrubbed. My local shop only charges $3 per game.

As a reseller, I'm real curious bout this site. Some looks like really good deals and others is ridiculous prices, kinda similar to a real life goodwill store. I have that VCR too, had it since my childhood.
Pricing is incredibly inconsistent, but underpriced stuff goes extremely quick. Definitely worth keeping up with though
Buffy is one of the game I like. Not a great game but any fan of the show would love to have it.

The way you're rough handling the discs and slamming the games down is driving me up the wall
I will say this about Burnout 3. The black label versions seem to have a crashing issue for Xbox. So I do recommend you keep the PH version.

Ive got the Black label XB version, put hundreds of hours into it, never had one crash. Maybe your disc is messed up?

Xbox is so fun to collect for because you can find deals like this. My lovely mom and pop store was closing down and no one was buying any Xbox games so he offered me $200 for all of them so I took it!
Check Tao Feng closely. That game was edited due to some prayer or chant that was in the original if I remember correctly.

Me neither... I mean I guess it's just people who had these games as kids and didn't take care of them? But I was not a neat or tidy kid, didn't even put my games back in the cases a lot of the time and I still never had any discs that looked that bad
@@collectorjohn9538 Yeah, it just baffles me. Sure I was the same as a kid, but I never scratched my discs. Sure, some of them had a single scratch, but the game worked fine. These days, I almost always buy my PS2/Wii/X-Box games from the same retro shop, as they resurface them before shipping them out.
I used to leave them out the case always until I was a teenager.
I bought from goodwill before and there pretty much a kinder egg as far as results I got a complete broken mess from them once and on the other side I also got a few rare special editions as well the problem I have with them is they dont upload photos on there store fronts and unless you go to a store directly you pretty much have no idea what your getting condition wise so there always a gamble 9/10 there the cheaper route so i always if your desperate enough or feel like its worth it go for it but if you feel like its to much of a gamble find something more concrete with what your looking for

I sell stuff on eBay and Mercari all the time, after shipping and fees for a lot like this I would have maybe made a bit more but I'm generally not that interested in selling items that cost a lot to ship and are in dubious condition. Selling a bunch of low value Xbox games individually was not something I was interested in doing either

My brother and I played a ton of ESPN NFL 2K5 back in the day and I think that's the only football game I would keep for the collection if I came across it. Still crazy that it was only $20 when it came out

Ah man, you should definitely keep Showdown Legends of Wrestling, its the better of the three Legends of Wrestling games, it still has its problems but the roster size of guys you can play as is massive. One of those you just turn your brain off and have fun.
