Just a question. If they had FF7 for $49.99 new, wouldn't it have made sense to buy that for $49.99, got the Pro-Trade since it's new and got that 30%, and then bought Dragon's Dogma 2 pre-owned? I know there is a discount for pre-owned games, but I wasn't sure how their trade-in process works.

When I was selling my ps5, a trade in program gave me just about the full new value back in store credit. could only get half at best on craigslist.

I always think it’s a mistake to take too many games to any one store - that gives them the leverage to be overly choosy in what they do take.

Eh, I would've kept the DS games you wanted and bought the cases/manuals on eBay. Any time I sell something thinking I'll find a better condition or complete copy later I end up paying way more. Just my two cents 😊

They didn't take the switch because it's missing the serial number and all that's on the back of the switch

I enjoyed Rebirth a lot more than dragon's dogma 2. The latter had flashy beginning that just kinda fizzled out. However Rebirth had me hooked the whole time.

Calling remakes "remasters" is painful for me to hear. They didn't take the old SNES version of Super Mario RPG and upscale the graphics. It's the same for TTYD... there is a big difference.

Yikes only $110 trade in for the Switch. 2 weeks ago they were offering $186 for it. But like always when GameStop has a percentage trade in they reduce the trade in credit for what the special offer is for.

You can get a joy stick repair kit for the joy con's dude, super easy fix and cheap to do it yourself, I did mine.

Dude Gamestop's website is a mess. I'm glad you at least got the games you wanted. You *maybe* could have played the long game by taking the Switch to an independent store and just saved the credit until Rebirth popped up. Oh GameStop… will you ever learn?? Yeah, I hardly ever go into GS anymore. Here in Canada their prices are consistently higher than any local shops, or even eBay for that matter. And the amount of credit you get for trade-ins is complete garbage. So no reason for me to step foot in there. But on a different note, Valfaris is an awesome game! It’s very reminiscent of old school Contra but with a heavy metal overlay. I had a great time with it.

First Comment!! Just recently found your videos when I fell asleep watching youtube and woke up to see Von Trier was on the screen?!?! I'm from Milwaukee and used to live on Murray just down the street from there. I've moved away in the last year so seeing the Milwaukee haunts like Make Cents and the east side Mega Media Exchange (gg) is very comforting. I really enjoy your videos and your approach to collecting in general, specifically that you play your games. Its encouraged me to play through some of the gamecube stuff I have been collecting. Keep up the great work!! PS: have you ever game hunted at record head in West Allis I've gotten some good stuff there, also there is a shop in Menomonee Falls called Universal Collectibles that is small but stuffed with games and other stuff.

to everyone who has a rather huge backlog as me i also dont buy any ganes anymore too but i can give out the suggestion to play multiple games at once so you play game a, b and c interchangeably i can also recommend to not buy that many games even if you do concentrate on single player only stuff so you have freedom over it when to play it and that the game doesnt become unusable once its online servers shut down

Cool video. Here in the UK I stop off at a few charity shops (same thing as goodwill) once or twice a week on my walk home and 90% of the time it is old sports titles but I do find the occasional fun game. Found a copy of Guitar Hero world tour on xbox 360 and guitar bundled for £9 a few days back and last night me and my brother got it working and spent a good two hours taking turns rocking to some songs. Since covid a lot of stores stick a lot of electronics (Not just games) online but I still pop in and have a look around and find a fun game.
