How can you get evidence of private harrassment behind closed doors? Sneaking a video recording of the abuser? It seems like that is unreasonable. The only reasonable evidence can be testimony by the victim under oath in the court. Which, is pretty damning because either side can lie and nobody can do anything about it even if it is a crime to lie under oath. The only other reasonable evidence I can think of is providing proof of costs to replace destoryed personal property by printing out retail listings of equivalent items and tha fact that I don't have them anymore. The whole thing has to go on people's words, "they said they threw it away" for example. Then the other side can lie and say "no I didn't" and then what? It's a private matter behind closed doors... there has to be a reasonable person standard or something like it wherw it'd be unreasonable for an individual to go through the trouble of filling out all the paper work, driving to the court house and showing up for hearings without legitimate concerns...

Keep a good record with dates and times of everything done to harass you with photos or recordings if you can do so without putting yourself in danger. Also keep a list of witnesses. You may be able to file for CHRO on your own, but you need evidence. Good luck!
You didnt even scratch the surface. What happens if you lie in order to obtain an injunction against somebody and they appeal the order an win? What happens to the liar? Not a G- damn thing. They will even issue injunctions of harassment on the grounds of "could've, would've and might've". Its so unjust its sick

This was incredibly helpful, I’ve had a boy who’s been harassing my since my sophomore year of high school (I’m a freshman in college now) because I turned him down. He has continuously called and messaged me, even though I’ve blocked him. He’s continued to do it through other phone numbers I’m assuming are his friends, or creating Snapchat accounts with the names of people from our school and I would add, then he would harass me through those accounts. I’m also fairly sure he drives by my house often, bc the messages he is always sending or the calls he always mentions my neighborhood and address. I thought once I graduated it would stop but he is literally obsessed. Nothing had happened for awhile until late October and just yesterday when him and his friend added me on Snapchat through different accounts using classmates names, then put all three of us in a groupchat and started saying how “I cant stop them”, calling me a slut/making weird sexual references, and then saying “is it okay if we kaboom your house”. Which I felt was definitely kind of threatening. I have over 100 screenshots and screen recordings of his messages, but I’m afraid if I tried to get a civil harassment restraining order it wouldn’t be enough or him or one of his friends would try to do something worse.

I'm a 16 year old junior in high school filing for a restraining order against my mother who has no custody or any form of rights to mee. I have a video she sent to my sister of her following 2 boys and cursing at them because I had an argument with her over phone call just a moment before because she was threatening to sue my siblings, father and I for defamation and slander because we denied her request of lending her money. She cursed at my sister and I and called me "fucking pathetic" because I told her being badass doesn't mean it's good to constantly have police and other people investigating your whereabouts and actions.
