    Just had a thought. Will you be changing the channel name to Green Acres Homestead?

    • @GreenAcreHomestead
      @GreenAcreHomestead  2 ปีที่แล้ว +39

      We've considered it greatly over the last 6 months since getting the new land. We're sticking to green acre homestead. It's too ingrained in the internet for search results and us. Plus our business is the same name and the websites for 'green acres' are all taken... We've thought about it a lot, wish we could do green acres but it's not in the cards for us. A positive way to look at it (that we've thought of for such questions) is that leaving it 'acre' will allow us to remember where we came from and pay homage to our roots in homesteading -- that it all started on one little acre. :)

    I wouldn’t be so quick to off load the slide. It would make a neat exit from a treehouse. Whatever you decide to make for the boys they are sure lucky to have such creative parents. I get a kick watching them “working” with you. You’re both very patient with them

    • @lindajc123
      @lindajc123 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I didn't think about re-using the slide (good idea by the way), but I did think about all the lumber that they were going to give away that they didn't use. You NEVER know when some project will come into your head that Sam would have used that given away lumber for - especially in this skyrocketing prices arena we are living in now.

    From the comfort of my chair and watching fast motion video - it all looks pretty easy. With the cost of materials today, it sure makes sense to disassemble and take as much as possible with you. I cringe when I see some of the utube, wood scrap piles being burned or carted off to the landfill to keep things looking tidy rather than stacked on pallets and tarped for future consideration; even summer bon fires would be better than slag pile fires.

    What a ton of work.........but you are hammering it out. Great job and best of luck.
    Many hands make light work.

    You All are Hittin and Gettin it !!❤ Does it Seem Bittersweet?? I feel like it is to Me and it's your place..but I remember so many of the things you did there. I 'll probably really cry when you get the mobile home ready to go...😅😢😢😭😭😭

      It does feel that way a little bit, but it's also nice to see things getting knocked off our to do list for moving. :) We're not sad to leave this property at all, we love our new place in Tennessee for so many reasons. The actual home move will be very stressful for us -- praying nothing bad happens to it and it leaves here and arrives there in perfect order.

    OK Sam, I missed where you put the screws with the 'Play thing' takedown? Great teardown video!

    So pleased you got help, it thought is was lonely that you were doing this yourself- knowing you had family around you - I know how that feels thought, unfortunately 🙁

    If you plan on having any goats keep the slide they love to play..the outdoor kitchen would make a great barn..

    Where are the sheep?? Are they wandering aimlessly looking for the greener pastures that were promised?
    Love that Jeep Truck. My dad has a '49 Jeep Willys Truck that my Grandpa bought many many years ago.

      No more sheep... for a while at least. It was going to be too much strain on us to handle with everything else so we arranged for them to go back to the farm they were born at. It's best all around -- they're with many other sheep and we don't have the stress on us. :)
