One of my favourite parts about the Thorald mission is how one of the other options involves Olfrid's son, Idolaf, instead telling you what happened and giving you a missive after apparently looking into the matter himself due to his old friendship with Thorald. This implies that Olfrid has been going behind everyone's back, and we constantly see the various members of the clans outside of the heads trying their best to avoid or overcome the feuds between them. Honestly, it seems the only ones that are keeping the feud going are Olfrid and Vignar, as the rest of their clans just seem to want the split between them to end. Honestly, it'd be cool if there was a mod that could allow you to convince Idolaf to help you free Thorald, and to recruit both of them as followers and perhaps even Blade members
12:11 if you attack someone in solitude, there is a small chance you will get a letter from Advar asking you to attack that lady, but not kill her. It’s probably a glitch where the game thought you already started the mission.
If you're going to make a series out of this, please include the meat trader in Markarth. During a side questline, you actually realise he is in a cannibalistic cult and he might be selling human meat.

Sabjorn is exploiting a bad deal the guy did with him, so is easy to understand his reasons... He never talks about kill the guy just put him in prison
Did you know in the beginning of the game when your escaping if you pay real close attention to the number of people in the hallway that collapses after your first fight, depending on who you went with the number of people changes, if you went with Hadvar there's only two people but if you go with the other there's five

For the Grey Mane one, i really think the Battle Borns didnt know at first. Then they inquired after he went missing and got an answer... they just dont want to tell the Grey Manes because it involves the Thalmor.
i think you're not giving olfrid enough credit - the guy made enough enquiries to catch general tullius' attention to try and FIND the guy, after all. he wanted to know where he was, presumably so they could go get him back if they could, but pretty reasonably backed off on learning that the thalmor are involved. true, it doesn't excuse him taunting fralia the way he does or his general arrogance, but he was still ultimately trying to help.

Next on our list, is the player himself, the Dragonborn. On the surface, the Dragonborn is the hero who've slain the evil dragon, Alduin, and saved all of Tamriel, but little do the citizens of Skyrim know that the Dragonborn is actually the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, he murdered the Emperor, and destroyed the Penitus Oculatus. Not to mention that he single-handedly bought back the Thieves Guild to its former glory. On the surface, the Dragonborn is a well decorated veteran, but there's more to him than meets the eye.
Fun Fact: If you spawn durnehviir while at skuldafn, his AI will copy the dragon dialogue from the vanilla beast and he will also repeat the line, "Skuldafn fen dos kinok"
Idk if you know this, probably do but I just found out about it the other day, after you complete the dark brotherhood quest line and go buy all the upgrades for the new shrine there will be " torture victims" in the new torture room you add on, after clicking on them a few times and a few rounds of random dialog they will give you areas that they hid treasure and gold, not sure if it resets but all 4 victims give a location and I got from 1000-2000 per location easy way to make some coin! I'm hoping they reset after some in game time lol, love the channel btw! Huge fan!
So personal theory about Addvar and the cut misc quest for the Dark Brother hood: As we all know Addvar is the brother in law of Roggvir and we know that Roggvir’s execution had put some strain in the family And we also know that Jala, the target of said cut Misc Dark Brotherhood quest is the girlfriend of the Headsman Ahtar So I think the possible motive for Addvar preforming the night-mother ritual is that he wanted revenge on Athar for executing Roggvir and putting strain in his family, so he sent a Dark Brotherhood assassin to murder Jala as payback But that’s just my theory, it also could explain why Addvar had the human skull as it could he some leftover from the ritual

Doubt Bolli hired an "investigator", considering you got the best people for such a job right here in Riften, the Thieves Guild
8:01 sad thing is Olfrids Son still cares about his former friend and if your persuasion is high enough he'll reveal hes been exhausting his resources with the Empire to find his former friend to potentially save him, and discovered what happened to Thorald but wouldn't dare move against the Thalmor. Its one of the alternate ways to learn of his fate.
Makes the GrayMane-Battleborn feud much more tragic and Olfrid that much more despicable.
Lydia is secretly a traitorous Follower,
She purposely blocks you in a narrow area so that you cannot finish the damn quest.
And she purposefully sets off traps and fails at stealth.
The way you edit has changed, and I really like the direction you’re going in. I usually listen to these while I’m doing misc quests, but the newer style of editing is much nicer to look at, keep them coming!
I listen to them while I play skyrim vr
Addvar is no vampire and no bandit. He secretly is goth.
Skulls are also very abundant in Skyrim. Walk past a cave, get attacked by a skeleton, kill it and take its skull.
@@Samzillah Well the problem isn't the idea that it might have been a person.. relatively recently. It's just, most people don't consider dead people decoration.
@@Samzillah Also, what's weird is the troll skull in every house in skyrim. What's with that?
To be fair I would decorate my house with skulls in fact I do it in real life because they look cool maybe he is like me and think that skulls look cool
Conspiracy theorist mage going around towns casting turn undead on everyone can confirm, not a vampire.
Saborn got what he deserved, he worked Mallus like a slave and even boasts of it, so I think his end was a fitting one.
Love the videos Nate, they inspired me to start Skyrim again. You always turn up things I had no idea about, even after how ever many play throughs
OLFRID! Patron of the clan Battle-Born... a name I'm sure you'll remember
Comments you hear 😳
Every time you reveal secrets in people's houses, it's usually news to me. I don't often break into random npcs houses, especially if there's no quest there. I'm sure I'm missing a lot of.. domestic secrets and such.
I really wish I could end Maven -_- she's so annoying and I hate that she's the Imperial Jarl
The chicken should be on this list
Natepai noticed moi lol
Hold on, it's not the Battleborn's fault that Thorald was imprisoned. They actually inquired about his wereabouts and were asked to remain silent.
Plus, the letter strongly implies Olfrid was actually trying to get Thorald released.
I came to the comments section literally to say this exact thing.
With that said, the sheer dickish attitude in that one scripted scene outside Belathor's is just uncalled for. Typical case of the Skyrim devs laying it on so thick it'd not be left for doubt, or him knowing and using that breadcrumb as an excuse to heap more abuse at the clan he's fueding with? YOU MAKE THE CALL!
I agree to some extent but the way he treats poor Fralia makes me want to throw hands
@@Jynx9921 Understandable. But remember that the clans were already at odds because of the war, and Fralia was accusing them of something they didn't do.
I've watched maybe 100 of your videos in the past 2 weeks at work... and now I'm playing skyrim again. Your videos keep me company while I work everyday💖 thank you for loving this game so much
I dunno nate, The dragonborne has alot of skulls in his house as decoration , it just seems to be a popular trend among the people of skyrim. Nothing suspicious about it
Oh sure there are some human skulls and black soul gems here and there but that’s just a new trend.
"Maven Black-Briar proves herself to be one of the games few villians that truly is untouchable"
Thankfully there is a mod to change that, said mod will leave a letter at Breezehome in which an anonymus writer asks the Dargonborn to get rid of her permamently and disables her immortality
whats the name of the mod?
And Jon Battleborn and Olfina Graymane are courting.
Already done.
@@HareDeLune Oh, okay. Might have missed it.
yo nate, i got something you could include in a vid. Did you know that as you kill dragon, while its on fire, if you look at your current location from your map you can see the fire from the map view.
jala in solitude lives with the city's executioner so he may be getting revenge or avenging rogvier
Nate, I will never get tired of your videos! Thanks for consistently keeping me entertained :)
Sabjorn is exploiting a bad deal the guy did with him, so is easy to understand his reasons...
He never talks about kill the guy just put him in prison
No matter how hard I try I'll never remember any of these characters names
Did you know in the beginning of the game when your escaping if you pay real close attention to the number of people in the hallway that collapses after your first fight, depending on who you went with the number of people changes, if you went with Hadvar there's only two people but if you go with the other there's five
Thank you for still being one the only active skyrim youtubers
Damn it Nate, I wanted to watch your video and go to sleep but that ending was way too spooky.
Nazeem should be on this list. He deviously doesn't actually go to the Cloud District!
he's actually in there on occasion.
It doesn't matter how you rephrase your intro, it's still got that "Skyrim is a huge game" vibe to it. :D
These videos get me in the Skyrim mood. Anyone else ever delay returning the dragon stone to dragon reach? I was at level forty before deciding to resume the quest line. You must save the word, but why don’t you spend time on some miscellaneous or minor side quests? Now I gotta meet up with Delphine at Kynesgrove, but I’m really kinda busy doing stuff for some factions. Thieves. Dark Brotherhood. Imperials. Fetching things for NPS to get in their will. Playing tag or hide and seek with kids 🤣
Last time I was this early Weylin killed Margaret
So you clearly weren't early enough because you couldn't stop him in time
@@eemelikorteniemi3966 yep
I really appreciate how well this video has been edited :)
Really adds to and enhances the video.
The last time I was this early, Nate was still making Minecraft trolling videos.
13:20 It makes perfect sense. In Skyrim skulls are like framed pictures, they liven up your home, as ironic as that sounds
"Oh, yes, she's a gold-digger. Just thought you should know, fisher."
this is underrated
For the Grey Mane one, i really think the Battle Borns didnt know at first. Then they inquired after he went missing and got an answer... they just dont want to tell the Grey Manes because it involves the Thalmor.
Maven Blackbriar can always have an unfortunate accident. People fall on their swords all the time. =D
Once, I understand. But seven times in addition to decapitating herself?
nate, your animations are getting better and better. nice job.
You can stop the Skooma thing in Riften though, so that's a good thing I guess
You didn't hear? JK Rowling just announced all the characters from this game were in an intense gay relationship
She wrote the script and book
Nice
i mean if you kill addvar jalla will also give you a note saying thank you and some gold and will also thank you in person if you visit her stall.
I did not know about Advar. You actually surprised me with that one: Good Job, Nate!
Do one on Mjoll The Lioness, she has almost the most unique dialogue of any character in the vanilla game
Nate I’m giving a speech on the dark brotherhood tomorrow in my speech class and your videos helped inspire me a lot. Thank you so much!!
I'm going to do whats called a "pro gamer move"
"Is there Skooma in my Hold?"
"No."
"Okay, then."
🤣
Bolli is totally innocent himself, though, since he has had 'relations' with Helga, and has the mark of Dibella to prove it
Do you get to the comment section very often? Oh what am I saying of course you don't
Wait what I got highlighted?
i think you're not giving olfrid enough credit - the guy made enough enquiries to catch general tullius' attention to try and FIND the guy, after all. he wanted to know where he was, presumably so they could go get him back if they could, but pretty reasonably backed off on learning that the thalmor are involved. true, it doesn't excuse him taunting fralia the way he does or his general arrogance, but he was still ultimately trying to help.
Tbh If my spouse was giving away half of our fortune to poor people and preaching I'd leave him too, you can be gracious but that doesn't mean you have to suffer in turn.
i always look forward to your uploads 💞 keep up the amazing work, nate!
Look at these devious A.S.F characters they're so devious
nice, glad someone else came here to do the lord work
I know these videos are old and you probably don't monitor these newer comments. But I'm very late to the Skyrim game and just recently started playing on PS3. ( I know, ancient, right? ) I also have a working NES and Sega Genesis that keep me pretty busy.
But I just wanted to stop by and say your videos have helped me a bunch! I've also adapted the habit of using the wiki fan page for alchemy and all sorts of quest walkthroughs. Now to level up to 20.....
If you think Nivenor’s cheating is bad you should see what Nazeems wife does when she goes to the guardhouse while he’s at the cloud district
It just shows that she's the smart one.
Well Nazeem can go fuck himself
But that’s the stewards job

It's also possible he was legitimately trying to find him but when he found out it was too horrible to tell her so he remained silent as to keep her in the dark to her son's true horrific fate
I mean he still didnt need to talk to the old woman like that

Next on our list, is the player himself, the Dragonborn. On the surface, the Dragonborn is the hero who've slain the evil dragon, Alduin, and saved all of Tamriel, but little do the citizens of Skyrim know that the Dragonborn is actually the leader of the Dark Brotherhood, he murdered the Emperor, and destroyed the Penitus Oculatus. Not to mention that he single-handedly bought back the Thieves Guild to its former glory. On the surface, the Dragonborn is a well decorated veteran, but there's more to him than meets the eye.
Can we get - “Top 5 / 10 Landmarks in Oblivion” - any oblivion video pweeeeassae
Fun Fact: If you spawn durnehviir while at skuldafn, his AI will copy the dragon dialogue from the vanilla beast and he will also repeat the line, "Skuldafn fen dos kinok"
I'll always like the way he says "The elder scrolls V Skyrim".

I think you can make it big someday, especially when TES6 releases. Keep up the great work, Nate!
Hi Nate, can you share your mod list with us?
Idk if you know this, probably do but I just found out about it the other day, after you complete the dark brotherhood quest line and go buy all the upgrades for the new shrine there will be " torture victims" in the new torture room you add on, after clicking on them a few times and a few rounds of random dialog they will give you areas that they hid treasure and gold, not sure if it resets but all 4 victims give a location and I got from 1000-2000 per location easy way to make some coin! I'm hoping they reset after some in game time lol, love the channel btw! Huge fan!
What mod is Nate using to make the buildings look like that??
So personal theory about Addvar and the cut misc quest for the Dark Brother hood:
As we all know Addvar is the brother in law of Roggvir and we know that Roggvir’s execution had put some strain in the family
And we also know that Jala, the target of said cut Misc Dark Brotherhood quest is the girlfriend of the Headsman Ahtar
So I think the possible motive for Addvar preforming the night-mother ritual is that he wanted revenge on Athar for executing Roggvir and putting strain in his family, so he sent a Dark Brotherhood assassin to murder Jala as payback
But that’s just my theory, it also could explain why Addvar had the human skull as it could he some leftover from the ritual
I wish you could kill maven as a dark brotherhood assassin
Would be funnier to destroy her business and suddenly see her sitting in the streets as a beggar
