Nate, I'm surprised in Faldar's Tooth you didn't mention that the bandits killed the dunmer cook. I thought they got tired of his grilled leeks and killed him, but the way you presented this alludes that they must have discovered what he was feeding them. His dead body can be found in one of the cages, covered in grilled leeks.
I would've liked for you to mention that placing Habd's remains will grant you the permanent 'Sailor's Repose' ability. So it does seem that their souls watch from the afterlife, and thank you for showing decency. A bittersweet ending indeed.

Frostflow Lighthouse was the first time I had ever seen, or heard, a Chaurus. Also, growing up, we always had Silverfish in our basement, so I was deathly afraid of those. Let's just say that it took me about 3 hours to complete Frostflow, with all the lights on, and the sound off.
I find the Chaurus to be closer to earwigs than silverfish...and, despite the earwigs being harmless to humans, they look horrible (pinchy parts on both ends of the thing) and are flight-capable; you don't know true terror until you've opened up a mailbox and had several earwigs fly right out at you...first time I saw that, I nearly shit my pants and ended up sitting down hard in the street (after a moment to compose myself, I brought the mail in to my mom and asked her why she'd neglected to tell me that the damn things could fly (I'd seen them before, but only on their feet)...and she about wet herself laughing).
It reminds me of the horror film “the descent” in that it’s a seemingly endless underground cave system filled with blind carnivorous monsters. It’s probably the most terrifying place in Skyrim. I’ll never forget the first time I went through there...
It's a tragedy that starts out small with a couple of hunters and then balloons into a bunch of refugees only wanting to escape the Red Mountain and survive, only to fall victim to Falmer. It's one of the best stories of Skyrim you can come across. What was not pointed out is this is the end point for the Barenziah Stones quest, where you go to find Barenziah's Crown. So after collecting all of those stones, you are then subjected to one of the saddest events of Skyrim and Morrowind that nobody else knows. I would've loved to have been able to tell Vex what I found there, and take her attitude down a notch.

Grabbing an egg will spawn an undead chicken. This area is in the rift if i recall. I took pictures of the nest and the location on the map if you're interested in checking it out.

I'm pretty sure Faldar's Tooth is a possible location of a Companions' Quest where you have to steal some Silver Hand plans. Considering the companions are Werewolves, this adds to the aura of spookiness surrounding the place, and begs the question, how did the Bandits of the fort, get the plans? Are the Silver Hand secretly supplying the bandits with wolves and dogs in exchange for their help against the werewolves? Did the Bandits manage to capture a werewolf and use it in the dog-fighting ring. There's just this atmosphere about it that is extra spooky if you happen to be a werewolf member of the Companions.
Fort Frostmoth on Solstheim isn’t really creepy to me but it did hit me hard. Just seeing the skeletons of people that died buried in ash is really heartbreaking.
Faldar's tooth was once a fortress protecting the roads between Ivarstead and Riften, bandits took over after the guards and military were weakened enough by the war against the Thalmor, the bandits could be generic bandits or members of the silver hand faction depending on if your given a task going to there by an elite Companions member. Tolvalds cave was a trade route turned escape route turned falmer cave dungeon, its an area you'll be sent to at the end of "no stones unturned" bonus Thieves guild quest, after securing the 24 stones of Barenziah.

I really liked that the Anniversary Edition or at least the pet related creation gave a quest and a little bit of explanation to that last location. Seems that one, at least, can comfortably be accepted as canon.
I'm somewhat surprised that you didn't mention Apocrypha. Though I've grown quite fond of it, I was quite disturbed the first time I found myself transported there. frostflow lighthouse was a lighthouse in the pale that helped luminate the shore of the sea of ghosts long ago, eventually becoming a home for a redguard family. there is an objective you get for entering the lighthouse, but no other quest will direct you there. the objective is to delve deep into the caverns below the lighthouse to discover the creature that has slaughtered the entire family, a chaurus reaper, huge in stature. kill it to complete the objective. if you also loot the corpse for the remains of the father, and toss them in the lighthouse brazier to grant his final wish, you'll be rewarded the sailor's repose, increasing how much healing spells heal you.
As an arachnophobe, I can confirm the evil spider cave of death. The giant spider noticed Serana before it did me, and jumped towards her. I was too busy looking at something else, and didn’t notice it until it landed on me. I have never screamed so loud.

It was part of a companions quest for me, Aela sent me to clear out "beasts that were attacking settlers" and when I found the vampire lair I wondered immediately if it was the spiders (that people seem to know about) causing the disappearances, or if it was the vampires. The quest itself ended up being completely by killing the spiders and didn't have anything to do with the vampires, but it still made me wonder (I also wondered whether the vampires took up residence in the chamber to avoid suspicion since most people would see the spider evidence and say "nope, absolutely not!"
Back in the day I was so scared of the Dwarven ruins I remember I'm so scared that I ran all the way to Blackreach and I it got even more scarier so I went inside the closest house... oh the good old days😁
I literally came upon Cronvangr cave by chance. I had done the Skyrim storyline, had done all of the guild storylines, had completed the expansions, pretty much everything. All I really had left to do was to explore every inch of Skyrim, so I began by going to the first place I that would pop up on my compass, after clearing out a couple of caves, THIS was the third one I found. I went in, cleared out the spiders, commenting about how much I hated spiders, and was about to leave when I spotted that button on the wall. I only even spotted it by the command prompt popping up as I was leaving. Finding the secret underground house of Vampires certainly caught me off guard to say the least.
Funny thing about Cronvangnr Cave I only recently discovered that secret passage with the Vampires a couple of weeks ago, and I only found out because that small blue frostbite spider pet from the CC pack "Pets of Skyrim" Was located where the vampires were . So, it is just like Nate said about coming here for a fetch quest¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Bard's Leap Summit was a very creepy location. It was so creepy that by standing near the tip of the ledge could make the average Skyrim player commit suicide with their character by jumping off the cliff.
There is a quest that sends you to Crovangers Cave. Speak to the Blacksmith in Windhelm and ask him about the sword he's making. He will send you to Crovanger to get the sword of Queen Freyda which is in an egg sac behind the giant spider.

The creepiest location in the universe is a TH-cam without Nate
I really liked that the Anniversary Edition or at least the pet related creation gave a quest and a little bit of explanation to that last location. Seems that one, at least, can comfortably be accepted as canon.
I have an ungodly amount of hours in skyrim. I thought I’ve seen it all. I had no idea about the button leading to the vampires in that cave.
I need to find this cave
All of the Falmer dungeons creep me out. But the caves that had the Feral Falmer absolutely terrified me the first time I saw em.
I'm somewhat surprised that you didn't mention Apocrypha. Though I've grown quite fond of it, I was quite disturbed the first time I found myself transported there. The monsters there absolutely freaked me out at first too. Don't even get me STARTED on how many times I've been jump scared by tentacles popping out to smack my character from getting too close to them.
i know im a biiit late but the seekers (the lil guys) are hypothesized to be researchers who overstayed their welcome
theres a book wrotten by a mages assistant iirc where a mage went to apocrypha and would communicate via telepathy and rventualy the transmissions got all garbled and weird before completely stopping
The tentacles that come out of the drink are actually really terrifying. The ocean and Lovecraft theme make it so scary.
That place was so irritating to get out of or figure out where you're going but it was really different and cool
How in Oblivion are you still finding secrets in this game 😂 it's been 8 years!! Not complaining at all, but it's crazy!
Exactly. Oblivion, Apocrypha
You should try one of these types of videos with Elder Scrolls online, it seems to be a massive game with plenty of great lore.
I got a fetch quest to get either a sword or a lute(can’t remember which one) from that last dungeon and was so perplexed by the vampires just being there. It just seems so out of place in a spider infestation.
"Thankfully we do have a chance to ensure their killers are finally purged, once and for all."
30 in-game days later *pop* "we're baaaaack."
Kazuma - kun “Not for long” -the Falmerslayer
@@bigredwolf6 The best part about your joke is that an elder scrolls goblin slayer rip-off would actually be lore-friendly. Just get an Argonian conjurer, elven archer, or human priest as a follower and you'd be golden.
Kazuma - kun Yea my favorite Skyrim build is to be a dwarven reclaimer, and I clear every single dwarven/Falmer related location and quest, but I hate sword and shield. So I’ll usually go with advanced dwarven crossbow and that special helmet that gives you the steam breath attack.
@@bigredwolf6 the goblin slayer uses all kinds of weapons. Not just sword and shield. Guy also uses crossbows, bombs (which you could substititue with flame magic), magic scrolls, etc. He uses the right tool for the job. You don't have to use shield.

Nice another EpicNate list!! I'm surprised this wasn't released on Skyrim's anniversary. Great vid as usual though.😊
Great video as always. I've always been fascinated with the creepy part of Skyrim and its about time to see a video about it.
The last time I was this early, the Red Mountain hadn't erupted yet.
Hey TheEpicNate315,
Dude love your videos. Look forward to them weekly. Ok they don’t always go up as fast as I wish. But ok you put a lot of time, effort and heart into the content for your community. And that’s Awsome man. Keep it up, one of the few good content channels left. Thanks man. And may Talos Guide you.

Keep the Skyrim videos pumpin bro, it’s nice to see I’m not the only one still playing this game hah.
Crazy they're still someone playing this game out there in 2019/20. Honestly, been wanting to jump back into it.
Jupiter I actually just reinstalled today.
@@Cherokee9898 you sir, have my respect ✊
I’m playing 😉
Dude, I never stopped playing it.
@@JustKelso1993 You wild my brother.
frostflow lighthouse was a lighthouse in the pale that helped luminate the shore of the sea of ghosts long ago, eventually becoming a home for a redguard family. there is an objective you get for entering the lighthouse, but no other quest will direct you there. the objective is to delve deep into the caverns below the lighthouse to discover the creature that has slaughtered the entire family, a chaurus reaper, huge in stature. kill it to complete the objective. if you also loot the corpse for the remains of the father, and toss them in the lighthouse brazier to grant his final wish, you'll be rewarded the sailor's repose, increasing how much healing spells heal you.

I knew about the cave of spiders, and usually go there in every playthrough if I head out that way. Never knew about the secret vampire cave, though!
As an arachnophobe, I can confirm the evil spider cave of death. The giant spider noticed Serana before it did me, and jumped towards her. I was too busy looking at something else, and didn’t notice it until it landed on me. I have never screamed so loud.
The story of the lighthouse struck me so much that I installed a mod exclusively to collect and bury their bodies outside the lighthouse.
This game has been out for almost a decade, and people still discover new things about it every day.
The creepiest location in skyrim is my house's closet...do NOT look in there!...
-what are you hiding-
WHAT ARE YOU HIDING PRIEST?
Maybe a couple bodies and maybe a statue of talos...i meeean.....noooothing!.😅
plot twist, i’m what’s in your closet

I dont care who says what, skyrim is the best game that will ever be made, every weapon and location has a story behind it,I really enjoy your videos, you go true everything with amazing deatale, masive thankyou for all the hundreds of ouers you put in so I can get all that knowledge in 10-20 minutes, please keep up the amazing work, the online community is harsh and a proper compliment is way too rare
This said it was posted 5 seconds ago?!
The Nordic Beebo similarly I had a fear of Nordic ruins and the drauger
...was it the lab... Was it the lab O.P?
godYAM. alsoktlhuddie Are you still in there now ? 🙄
You can be sent to the spider cave during the mission "A new order" where you recruit gunmar

Nate, we need food-related episodes for Thanksgiving.
Nate, you are the best! Always looking forward to your videos. Much love from Belgium!!
i was here so early dragons still ruled tamrei

Last time you were this early the Eldergleam was a sapling.
Wow, nearly at 600k Nate! Crazy man, I've been here for a while! 😅 Congrats on the success!
I wish that more stuff went on in the midden
I just reinstalled Skyrim this morning. I open youtube for the first time today and this was the top of my recommended. Coincidence??
Funny thing about Cronvangnr Cave I only recently discovered that secret passage with the Vampires a couple of weeks ago, and I only found out because that small blue frostbite spider pet from the CC pack "Pets of Skyrim" Was located where the vampires were . So, it is just like Nate said about coming here for a fetch quest¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
I was watching some older videos and this popped up, still going strong. I subscribed
This vid is so creepy, when I first clicked on it my Internet mysteriously died :(
Edit: Uh, obviously it came back. Necromancy?
Love your narrative!!!! only that is worth the like after 10 seconds.
Last time I was this early, Nate wasn't epic.
You mean never?
You came before the beginning of time, my friend.
Bard's Leap Summit was a very creepy location. It was so creepy that by standing near the tip of the ledge could make the average Skyrim player commit suicide with their character by jumping off the cliff.
I wanted to be a bard, dammit! Lol
ME AND SKYRIM HAVE THE SAME BIRTHDAY WOOOP
Congrats
The big Spudd hey ill appreciate the little things lol
Why u nuuu named dovahkin?
Jeff Linder. I swear i heard that there is someone named dovakin lol
Love you videos. Great work and attention to detail.
I would love to see Nate do secret locations in the outer worlds.
So, um do you have a list of secret locations in The Outer Worlds?
@@MrsMeow9237 oh I wish.. but the game is so huge that I haven't gotten past the 2 GB installation.
There is a quest that sends you to Crovangers Cave. Speak to the Blacksmith in Windhelm and ask him about the sword he's making. He will send you to Crovanger to get the sword of Queen Freyda which is in an egg sac behind the giant spider.
Mark my words... Nate's damn nachos will be mine!
