Thankyou ever so much for posting this particular version . Its the best on produced IMHO .....as mentioned elsewhere in these comments, it was posted around 2017 as a video with B/w scenes , then it suddenly vanished !! So very happy to hear this version once more . Thank-you once again 😊😊
this remix was originally was posted as the POP version with the behind the scenes making of the movie in black and white for some reasons it was removed for years until now with just a picture . I will take what I get from John Barry with out a doubt the worlds most pronounced composer thanks for all the memories JB you left behind MASTERPIECES FOR ALL TO ENJOY
I heard this in the year 1991, there's a portion in the radio every Sunday night, that they will play old instrumental songs, I was still in first year college, I asked my mother to buy me the soundtrack still in "cassette tape". But it wasn't there😊 Before the DJ will speak, he will play the intro of this, then afterwards, he will cut and he will now speak.
That just proves all over again that there are epic songs that, if we are fortunate, we get to hear them in our lifetime. A truly epic song is the one you need only hear ONCE, & you will remember it for life! Contemporary orchestra/ modern symphony like this truly was a renaissance of its own, from the 1950's, through to the 90's As I musician molded & shaped by what played on easy listening radio in the 70's & 80's (its final years before being overshadowed by R&R & new wave) I will always remember gifted & goodhearted men like john barry who dedicated their entire lives to producing this music & keeping it alive Modern symphony (as it was "modern" at that time) is dead as far as the radio & the mainstream are concerned. But its forever in our hearts. And it still lives & breathes in millions of us, a generation molded & shaped by it, musicians & non-musicians alike Thank you for allowing me tgis indulgence. Please keep listening. Keep widening out your knowledge of these orchestrators & artists. The more names you have, the more albums & tracks you can uncover & deepen your musical repetoire God bless you all for coming here. That alone sets you apart! We need the beauty majesty & imaginative inspiration of this music even more than before. Dark difficult times are upon us. We need what is wholesome, loveable, & everlasting; this is the light that overcomes the darkness of our world Phillipians 4:8 _Whatever things are true, whatever things are of serious concern, whatever things are righteous, whatever things are chaste, whatever things are lovable, whatever things are well-spoken-of, whatever things are virtuous, and whatever things are praiseworthy, continue considering these things_
I could not find this gir more than a couple of years. I kept on searching but did not find. Thank you so…so much for posting!!! A superlative piece of music!!!
