But he always gets the girl just like severide from Chicago fire. I would see it again. I don't mind. He was good in this and Val kilmer dealing with throat cancer and died in the movie. The look on his face when he saw Val. That was very intense. Tom Cruise is a great actor. I used to do cinema service, and on the original release of Top Gun in 70mm film, one theatre I serviced had an incredible sound system. After doing my tune up for this film, the projectionist asked me to start the show. When this came on, the opening kick drums literally hit you in the chest. After I watched Top Gun I already knew I wanted to be a fighter pilot. God had other plans because of my lack of 20/20 vision. I instead joined the Marine Corps. The best decision in my life and I love every moment. I came full circle when I was part of a Marine Corps detachment on CVN-71 Theodore Roosevelt. Sending me goosebumps all over my body... what a movie, what a melody... what a time!
Just watched the movie... Totally worth it.... Absolutely perfect!!!!!! 🤗
Al escuchar esta intro, a veces incluso, por un instante, logro vivir la misma sensación que tuve la primera vez sentado en el cine con 15 años... Gran película, y gran década los 80's
There aren't many films that have an intro that in the first 10 seconds makes your hairs stand up...That very first 'Gong' does it for me each time. Top Gun Maverick was exactly the same feeling!
When this movie came out, I had my first surroundsound TV.
Oh my. It sounded like the jets were in the house.
Loved it.
Wow first time i listen to the “complete”
Opening theme!!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
true
the F14 and F4-II are two lost sexy BEASTS that could truly FLEX when called upon.
Both movies kick ass. I never get tired and the sound track wow ...
Don't know how many times I rented the VHS and later, how many times I viewed it in my own bought Copy. Golden Age of VHS!
I Love the way the second Top Gun starts out Like the first. Sets the tone for the whole movie 🎥 🍿 “ Up there with the Best of the Best”
I remember my uncle playing this song non stop after the afghan war (he was a polish soldier) he loved this show 2and now he finished his service and hes retired.
i know a lot of people like the version with the guitar vocals, but this is probably my favorite version of the anthem.
I can't decide which I like more
Best intro movie and song in Cinema history
Very good movie
Must watch one👍👍👍
Real life! Yo tenia 16 AÑOS y pinchaba el maxi a toda pastiĺa en el Pub de mi padre en Huetor Santillan en Granada. Hoy me falta mi padre pero tengo un gran recuerdo de esos años maravilllosos. Gracias Soraya!
This is my morning routine!!! I drink coffee by open window and listen this magnificent piece of art while slowly waking up!!! Thanks!!!

I just saw it yesterday. It is magnificent. Well done Cruise, and co.
Cruise wasn’t gonna come back unless they got Val Kilmer (Iceman) in the movie. He had throat cancer and couldn’t speak. But they found a way to get him in still which is really touching.
One of the most legendary intros ever
Saw this in 1986 in the theatre - I was 8 years old. Timeless score and cinema - the 80's was and is pure nostalgia!
Top Gun and Top Gun Maverick, two of the most awesome movies of all time, seeing the original opening again gives me chills
Two of them most unrealistic Pro war propaganda ever.!
The smell of JP5 jet fuel, all the various shirts green, yellow and green on deck. I had the best show of watching F-18 taking off and land.
Top gun maverick was fucking amazing from beginning to end. Well done
I have no Words my uncle Sherman Beaty 1952 Son of Saint en Top Hat An Bom Segar an Top Hat.❤
This is still as good today in 2023 as it was back in 1986 and perhaps now even better than before
