- Even though the weather looks like spring, we are still busy with some "winter" tasks. So you can see me loading woodchips, that I delivered to our neighbor. I used a Fiat and a little tipper trailer for easier access to the house. Then I took our Deutz and went to move some logs that my father saws and prepares for splitting. I then load the rest of the wood chips into the storage to heat our house. I also show you our woodchip stove. Finally, you can see the daily chores in the barn.

Farmer's POV (Point of View) is a channel where I want to share videos of different chores that are going on on our small family farm in Slovenia.
We have 60 heads of cattle, mainly simmetal breed and we milk about 35 of them. We farm in a fairly hilly area so our equpment is relatively small. Currently we own 4 tractors: Fiat DT55-56, New Holland TN70DA, Deutz Fahr Agroplus 85 and John Deere 5085M.
We work around 20 hectares of mainly grass fields and about 2,5 hectares for silage corn.
We also have 7 hectares of forest.
I think you have the cleanest farm of all the farming TH-camrs I watch. Nice to see you have a helper with milking the cows.

I am impressed!! I have seen a saw dust furnace in a home, but never an under ground chip furnace for I guess the milking parlor and loafing shed?? I would guess you still use the furnace to this day for heating and heating water?? I love these videos they are interesting!! Thanks Bud

@@farmerspov4709 Another thing that would be nice on your farm is a Steyr 8130. We've had ours for the past 20 or 30 years and it'll always be the most reliable tractor we ever have.

If you raise up the hammer mill and the other items there by it, you wouldn’t have to climb up and down the feeder trailer. You could built a mezzanine about 1 meter off the ground.

I'm always impressed with your operation! Everything seems to run so smoothly. You have fine tuned the process so there isn't much wasted motion. I see several different breeds of cows. What do you have... and is there breed you like best?
Thank you, sometimes it doesn't but I don't bother with filming then 😅 We have simmentals and brownswiss cows and some crossbreeds like red holstein and montbeliard. Simmentals are the most profitable for us but gray ones are easier to work with 😀
Hey can you do a video where you show all your tractors and staff, also where you park all of your tractors usually? You can explain for what you use every single tractor :)

Where are you store the woodchip why is the roof so high, and when you tip the woodchip into the pit , Can you show a video or a picture of how it works underground many thanks
Its a two-storey building, it was meant for hay but is now multipurpose 😁 Thats neighbor's, it works similarly to ours. At the bottom of the pit is an auger that drags wood chips into the furnace 😉
Looked like a good days work again. I like how you neighbours chip store is easier to load than yours 🤪. Must be good to get a bit of extra money from selling the wood chip.

We provide our own wood but hire someone to chop it 😉 yeah there can be cold periods 😉 yup! 😀

U zavisnosti od spoljne temperature, nekako je dovoljno 10 m3 za dobar mesec. Da, drva se prodaje po ceni oko 55 € / m3 😉

Coincidence 😁 There are some jobs that are best done with a particular tractor and if I have them available I prefer to use a different one for each tool to avoid switching 🙂
